If your interested in helicopters Inferno Chris the man. Come to the field in Kalkaska just about any Saturday and if you have a futaba radio system somebody will put you on a buddy cord. You can learn faster with less crashing that way also flight sims are a must. Try flying the sim just remember to land on the sim.

You and me both. Hey, got that MMP updated to the newest firmware with your help. Going to hopefully get it back in the car tonight with the link cable so I can adjust the timing a bit so lower the temps on the LRP I'm running with it. I'm making a brace plate with plexy glass to hold the MMP better when I mess up the double again.

Defender what RC are you mounting the MMP in ? I was shocked when I just ordered mine and seen they redesigned it... No fit in a Kyosho :(

I'm putting it in a Rustler. Plenty of room, but the case on the MMP is somewhat brittle apparently and it cracked after landing BADLY a few times. Luckily Traxxas makes em tough, but Castle things everyone drives like Mike. :-)

Casey hooked me up with a new case for it for $13 and I don't want to break it again, so I'm going to make a brace to support the top part of the control instead of only counting on sticky tape to hold it down.

The 1/8 E drivers are using a gel style double sided tape (vhb?), I know Scott (Fathead Racing) and alot of guys down south use it. Its pretty thick stuff that is like a gel and absorbs the hard impacts from the 1/8 scales. I will look around and see if I can find it.

Going to stop by Performance and see if they have something comparable. I normally just use the black double back tape from auto parts store.

Thanks!! Casey of KC Hobbies for setting me up with the Mamba Monster Pro ESC & the Fantom electric motor & accessories – great deal too!! Thanks Chris & Jason for help getting these parts to me here in Canada & setting up my new ESC & Motor in the SC10 & programming it on the computer (Castle link). Thanks again Jason for letting me try my new ESC & Motor on your race track at home there – truck is more predictable and it runs allot smoother with these upgrades – wish I had a track like yours in my back yard. Chris, thanks for suggesting I get the AKA Enduro tires, they hook up really good. Now, I might have a chance to make it into the a-main with a little practice – hopes are high.

I`ll be back to the Gaylord track a few more times this season - love the track & the people – great place to hang out & race!!

Michael in Canada

I'm just getting this message this morning otherwise I would have brought it in. I'll bring it tomorrow for sure though. I'll try to run the car tonight so I can make sure it's working with all the defaults set now. I just took it back to stock/default settings after updating the firmware. I'm going to try to buy a program field card soon.

good deal, until I get better with the car and lighten my finger on the throttle...all the tweaking in the world isn't going to help much. I'll run it stock and get use to it. Would be nice to have the field card though because it can do the USB link and also turn off reverse, adjust voltage cutoff and everything without the computer too. It's not a huge price difference, so I think I'll save some change and pick up the card soon.

Would be nice to have the field card.

Casey Has a field card, I have used it. It is great for little things at the track but I prefer the castle link, much more you can do with it, like do a motor test so you can set your torque limiter properly. the feild card is good for quick little changes when you don't feel like booting up the laptop.

Let me know, that would help out alot! I thought the card would be cool because it's you can use it for usb connection too...so if I'm buying one...I'll skip the small adapter (which I have yours at work now Mike) and get the card. If someone has a spare for a few bucks, then I'll be happy to do that instead.

Now for the good/bad news. Good news, brace is done and Mamba looks real nice and pretty mounted in the Rusty. Bad news...took it out for a spin and it was working good with the default settings and new firmware, but the brakes seemed to be absent completely. I know 50% is the default, but it seemed like 10% maybe. So I linked it back up and bumped that up to 100% and then set a drag to 10% and then I also set the Timing to LOW. Tried it again and it was just acting weird. I don't think the LRP vector liked it or something...I could only get it to go by feathering the trigger over and over.

Linked again to restore defaults and got a weird error message saying invalid settings for a huge list of stuff. I'm sure I had a deer in head lights look and clicked ok on that and restored. Closed it and reconnected the battery and tried again and this time no beeps when I turned it on...and it's still that way. It's like it working almost, but no sounds - just led's flashing like normal and after setting the full throttle/reverse with the remote it changes from flashing yellow to green under throttle and red for brake, but tires never move. Steering works, tried a different battery and re-balanced the one I was using to make sure it wasn't voltage shutoff, but still nothing. I'm at a loss. uhg

what radio and receiver are you using? if it is a 2.4g radio, it sounds like you need to rebind radio to receiver.
