View Full Version : First Cap Tour @ Lail Speedway in Knoxville TN, July 9/11

Date for the first cap race of the TOUR Outdoor race season has been set for July 9-11, At Lail Speedway in Knoxville TN. Lail is a nice size banked concrete track. They have a on site hobby shop and concessions. There are 20 power hook ups for trailers without A/C that can be reserved with paid race entry at no extra cost. If you plan on running A/C you will need to bring a generator for your trailer. They also have plenty of space for pop up awnings and have several tables already on site.

Classes planned on being run are
17.5 COT, ROAR APPROVED BATTERY, SPEC BSR CAPS, OPEN ESC
13.5 OPEN BODY, OPEN BSR CAPS, OPEN ESC, ROAR BATTERY
10.5 SAME AS 13.5
These are the National points classes

Track Classes
Legend 8.0 sec breakout open legend
pan car 6.0 sec breakout open

Track will be open on Friday for practice, Race on Sat, Sunday is set aside for a rain date.

Sounds Great Alan I am glad to see you Help LEE out on this one! Everyone should showed thier support to help Lail and the outdoor tour season.

Thanks guys, this not Lee, though a supporter and a local racer. Just wanted to give some idea of what the track looks like, this is before we put sod in the infield.

Are the Smc 5300 legal?

Lail is a great little track for pinks with net right and a pl lefts works great there!

here is a link to ROAR approved battery. If they are on the list as of 5/1/10 they are legal for the summer season.
