First do I need a personal transponder, or do you have house transponders? Also in the mod short course class will the castle 3800 4 pole be enough motor? I can drive OK, just worried about be slow on the straights...lol Kerby 10-22-2011, 08:05 PM To much....they run those in the 4wd SCs.....10.5 is enough..depends on your skill level Leonard 10-23-2011, 09:16 AM It would definately be more than enough. Unless you detune the snot out of it, it would be overkill in 2wd. I tried it and went back to a 8.5. ezracer18 10-23-2011, 04:02 PM awesome racing yesterday, WOW is all I can say. it should be a great winter of racing, we cannot wait. the 4x4 main was by far the most intense race I have ever had to go thru watching my son race. thanks again to uncle e and all the guys that make it happen. the G&G show. tipperjackson 10-23-2011, 07:15 PM Yes, thanks E, for a great place to race, wish we had more time on the new clay to figure out a good set-up. Had a great time, always fun to race with our GR friends. Big thanks from the guys at NMRCC Gaylord, MI. We all had a great time. E, I can't wait to see the pics though, I'm sure you did'nt get my head in the picture with those 3 footers that beat me.....LOL! Uncle E 10-23-2011, 09:27 PM Guys like PG's Facebook page. If your setting up an account have it email you when a post is made. Garbage Man 10-23-2011, 09:35 PM Good Times had by all.... those who couldn't make it..... well you missed a great race day at PG. slipstream 10-24-2011, 08:30 AM so i was looking at the posted race schedule and noticed that for the Halloween havoc race .the date was wrong you have oct 29 and the race was oct 22 oops hope you did not loose racers thinking is was going to be on the 29th see attachment of race schedule . Revo 10-24-2011, 01:27 PM Nope we are good. That date had to change because MORL decided to host their banquet on Oct 29 right on top of the date we had the race scheduled for to begin with. We have been announcing the race date at the track for the last couple months, sent out emails to all our racers in the data base with the correct date, and if you check the schedule here on HobbyTalk its got the right date also. Missed that one in the flier, but anyone who is around the track, on line or in our data base all had the correct date. I just personally think Oct 22 is to early for the race, wasnt close enough to Halloween. But what can you do when someone books on top of you? Kerby 10-24-2011, 02:10 PM I doubt is was the intention to screw anyone....last week was a blast, good racing. boooostedz 10-24-2011, 08:28 PM It would definately be more than enough. Unless you detune the snot out of it, it would be overkill in 2wd. I tried it and went back to a 8.5. Alrighty cool! I may have to chuck one of my 10.5's in then and give it a try. Also about the transponders...are personals required? My buddy is going to be racing too, and he doesn't have a personal. Thanks again for the help! Uncle E 10-24-2011, 09:17 PM HT's are $5 to rent. Revo 10-25-2011, 01:32 PM Tomorrows weather report: 52 degrees, 60% chance of rain. So weather is going to suck, your not going to be out working in your yard. Golf league is done. Its time to get into winter mode and get your RC's out and ready to race on Wednesday nights. What else are you going to do? Sit at home in front of the TV or play on the computer? Finally a use for those boring Sunday afternoons. Bill Kerby 10-25-2011, 08:06 PM If you're running the Kyosho SC-R SC truck the fastlane machine axle package is the way to go...Been running mine since around March, no bending or breaking. http://www.fastlanemachine.net/products.php?cat=Kyosho Revo 10-25-2011, 08:47 PM Reminder this Sunday will be racing! Proving Grounds Raceway Facebook page has all the details. Holy balls! So lets get this straight, Proving Grounds is now going to be open on Sundays for racing. The only thing that could make this better is if we had a sweet "weekly rate" for all the racing you wanted to do. Wait, we already do! So for $20 I can race on Wednesday (two classes), practice all day Friday, race on Saturday (two classes), and race on Sunday (two classes). If I wasn't married, I would be living at the track every week. Revo 10-25-2011, 09:15 PM In case you have not heard yet, Sidetrax Hobbies is moving to a larger store location this weekend! Not to mention an easier location to get to. The new address will be: Sidetrax Hobbies 2939 Wilson SW Grandville, MI 49418 Link: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2939+Wilson+Ave+SW+49418&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=hnear=0x8819b079b40b94d3:0x6dbca059eaca5f33,293 9+Wilson+Ave+SW,+Wyoming,+MI+49418&gl=us&ei=c12nTt_jH6_MiQKMkcTXAw&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CBwQ8gEwAA They will be one block North of Chicago Drive, 3 blocks South of 28th Street SW, and 3 blocks South of highway I-196. Pretty much as easy to get to as they come. They will be in the same building as the US Post Office. Oh and did I mention, its a larger store! Sidetrax will be closing early on Friday to start packing up. Saturday they will be closed while they move. The goal is to be open Monday morning at the new location. hyperdesigns 10-25-2011, 09:15 PM AMEN!!!!!!!! Holy balls!
