Had fun racing 4wd sc with u guys to day. Just a little more tweaks and I think I will have it pretty much dialed in.
Alex Raymo
Alex it was fun running with you and Chuck in the 4wd class, you were both kind to me as I was trying to get a handle on all the power these trucks have for the first time. Hopefully I didn't knock you guys around too much in the beginning. I need a week or two to get this 4wd thing figured out and then we will have some close clean racing.
Tdevil 11-11-2011, 12:42 PM Friday night racing. Doors open at 5. Racing at 8.
See you there!!!!!

See you there!!!!!!

Will work on pics, but it is hard to get an angle that shows the whole track.

CanadianRage 11-20-2011, 08:18 PM 4x4 A Main was off da hook

Nate's tires are safe and sound behind the counter. Tim made sure to ask me what to do with them before he left and I told him I would hang on to them.
Tdevil 11-20-2011, 10:42 PM Super day of racing. Can't say enough. New racers, regulars and some that we hadn't seen for a while. All added up to over 40 entries. Today on top of a 25+ entry night for oval made for the kind of week we need to see.
Here's to hoping the weather turns really crappy soon and keeps everyone coming out!!!!!
Thanks everyone
DBARB 11-21-2011, 02:09 PM Hey guys I am looking forward to racing at bfg in 2 weeks, I will be running my scte which day is better for 4wd shortcourse racing Friday or Sunday?
hyperdesigns 11-21-2011, 06:41 PM thinking about coming out for turkey day race and maybe sunday!
Mello Yello 11-21-2011, 08:12 PM I will be out for the turkey day & sunday. I had a good time yesturday with a new truck. Thanx Charlie for helping me with the radio. I thought It was my servo.
Anyway the truck is the ECX Torment as some of you have seen. Nothing special but I seem to like it. It does need more power as the 20t motor is slow. Plan on getting a 17.5 for indoor use.
Tdevil 11-21-2011, 08:54 PM Annual Turkey Day Classic will be this Saturday.
Off-Road program at 10:00. $10 entry fee for unlimited classes. Stay and run the whole day off-road and oval for $20 unlimited classes morning and evening.
We will be racing for the infamous Turkey Ribbons as well as combined points for off-road and oval. Top three in points receive trophies.
Potluck buffet between the off-road and oval programs somewhere around 3:00. Bring a dish to put out on the table. We will provide the ham and drinks.
Oval program starts at 5:00 as usual. $15 for unlimited oval classes this Saturday if you only come for the oval.
Beyond that, regular hours and programs for the week with the exception of being closed on Thanksgiving Day.

The second quickest SC10 4x4 @ BFG...:p
The second quickest SC10 4x4 @ BFG...:p
Oooh SNAP! That's just flat out cold right there. ;) Apparently getting the SC 4x4 TQ spot isn't enough to get " some mad respect round here". I guess you have to back it up by winning the main too huh? :p
Well For this week I'll just have to be content with having the quickest 2wd SC truck ;) until I can completely steal the setup from your 4x4 and apply it to mine. … (walks away to go look at secret spy photos of Canadian Rage's truck)……
DBARB, actually you should try to get out to BFG more than once this weekend as it's half off the second day you race in one week, plus I forgot about the Turkey day classic on sat which is also a great day to race. I have done it in the past and had a blast with these crazy guys. Either way the track layout is fun and you will like it. GMan approved. (in case anyone cares LOL)

Mello, do you need a faster brushed motor for your truck this weekend? I bet I could scrounge one up and drop it off at the track for you. LMK
wahoodisc 11-23-2011, 06:53 AM i may have to come out and throw down the old sc10 4x4 this sunday as well :)

Mello Yello 11-23-2011, 04:05 PM Gman,
Nice looking vta car. My esc will handle down to a 12t motor. Me & brushed motors dont get along too well. I always end up frying them no matter what my gearing is. I'll bring my soldering iron. Thanks.

Mello, I dug up 2 Trinity Epic 15t double motors that will be safe to run with your ESC limits. I took them apart and turned the comms on my motor lathe so they are fresh and ready to go win on the track.
Since the LIPO batts are harder on the brushed motors I only advance the timing to 10 degs which will help them last longer for you. Since heat is always the issue don't run over 6-7 mins in practice before a cool down period.
I would gear them down 2-3 teeth from your 20 turn and go from there based on heat and speed needed. I will try to drop them off at the track early Sat Morning.

Thanks for your help Gman. The smallest pinion I have is a 17. I will be at the track by 9 saturday morning. Have fun with the vta. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I can plan on being there at 8. That gives a couple of hours practice before we start at 10.
Tdevil 11-26-2011, 03:39 PM Nice turnout for the off-road portion of the Turkey Day Classic this morning. Just over 20 entries and great racing.
Regular off-road program tomorrow (Sunday). Doors open at 10, racing at Noon.
