(Hopefully, I like your guy's track)
bennyboy 03-14-2010, 04:51 PM Hey, Doug, do you know anything about the associated 4x4 corr truck?
(When it is coming out,etc.)
badassrevo 03-14-2010, 05:48 PM There has been some talk about it but no one will confirm it. There have been no pictures yet on any forums.
Teddy Johnson 03-14-2010, 06:19 PM Hi Bennyboy, we are hoping that this year will bring lots of new faces and sunshine to the track. With the 4x4 corr trucks and other new vehicles out there it will be a good year.
snwchris 03-15-2010, 12:44 PM New to the r/c racing sport, originally r/c crawler, but picked one up about a month ago and have been racing at ARCS Hobbies in Bula.
I'll definately have to stop out here to check it out and hopefully get in some races as well
Chris
badassrevo 03-15-2010, 08:32 PM Hey Teddy,
Edit your first post and put a link to the web site along with the address to the track for anybody new that might be on the forums.
bennyboy 03-16-2010, 02:59 PM Doug, will you be up at Oakhill racing this summer?
badassrevo 03-16-2010, 04:21 PM If they still run on Saturday I will be there on and off.
Minit76 03-16-2010, 08:06 PM They better run on Sat for I can't do Sun. I can't wait to get back on the dirt at Oak Hill.
Teddy Johnson 03-16-2010, 11:01 PM Thamks Doug, I put that web link up for the track.
Definatly Saturday racing Steve.
There is some talk about rock crawling?

SLASH4 03-17-2010, 07:59 PM hows zerb and gang hope to get up a couple of saturdays this year back to work never seems like i have any days off see ya all in a few months
Stealth_RT 03-17-2010, 10:28 PM Thamks Doug, I put that web link up for the track.
Definatly Saturday racing Steve.
There is some talk about rock crawling?
Thanks guys,Ted
Lol, seems like all the excitment about rock crawling has, er, crawled under a rock and died. At least at ARCs track anyway. Hopefully its still going strong way up North.
Teddy Johnson 03-18-2010, 08:38 AM :thumbsup:Thanks for that info, we will have to see what the crawlers have to say about doing it here?
snwchris 03-18-2010, 03:54 PM Besides the Slash 4x4, I also have a Venom Creeper, so I would be interested to see if you have plans for Comps there. Right now crawl at ARCS, but ourdoors theres a few nice places in the Bula area for holding comps or even just bashing.
Chris

bennyboy 04-10-2010, 08:59 PM When will you guys start running
Teddy Johnson 04-11-2010, 09:46 AM We are thinking with the weather the way its been maybe the last week of april? Ill keep you guys posted.
bookie 04-15-2010, 09:06 PM Hey all! This year at Oak Hill, Chuck and Chris are trying something new, its the National Championship Club Series. The series, is a series that you guys can compete in at the Hill for points toward a National Campionship, in the classes offered. These races will be normal club style races with normal fees. There will be 6 race dates. The drivers best 4 scores will be used for the final points.
All you (the driver) have to do is goto this link http://racers.rcsignup.com/register.cfm and register. The race results will be entered on the RCsignup web site and they do the rest. NCCS will award the top 20 Nationaly at the end of the year. Also the top 3 will receive items from their national sponsors.( to be determined at a later date)
The classes being offered are "Pro Lite" which is STOCK (RTR) Short Course Class open to ALL Brands. The "Pro 2" and "Pro 4", which are Mod Class. Rules below. I am still trying to find out if you can tune the diffs and run a sealed diff (in the Slash) in the Pro 2 and Pro 4 classes. As i find out more I will post here. Also I am still talking to Chuck and Chris to see if these are going to be the rules for the entire season or just these races. They are still undecided.
IF THE RULES DON'T STATE YOU CAN DO SOMETHING THEN IT'S NOT LEGAL)
Pro Lite (Stock RTR)
CHASSIS
Any Short Course Chassis manufacturer is legal for this class. All must be ran as they come out of the box.
1. Modifications of any type to the chassis plate, lower braces, receiver box, battery brace and related parts are not allowed.
2. The battery must be placed in the battery tray. The foam battery spacer may be placed behind or in front of the battery when using a 6-cell battery pack, or removed when using a 7-cell battery pack. Cutting or otherwise modifying the spacer is not allowed.
3. The side nerf bars, front and rear bumpers, skidplates and body mounts may not be removed or modified.(THERE MAY BE AN EXTRA SCREW ADDED TO THE REAR BUMPER TO BETTER SECURE IT.)
SUSPENSION
4. Modifications of any type to the suspension arms, shocks, shock towers, hub carriers and related parts are not allowed.
5. The stock shock pistons must be used in their factory positions and may not be modified. The Traxxas Aluminum Shock Caps ( 2667 aluminum shock caps) are legal.
6. When refilled for maintenance, the shocks may be filled with any weight fluid. The shocks must be properly filled with oil.
7. The stock shock springs must be used in their factory positions. Springs may not be shortened or otherwise modified.
8. Spring preload may be adjusted using only the supplied spacers. Additional spacers may not be used.
9. Front toe-in and front and rear camber may be adjusted within the travel range of the factory turnbuckles and rod ends.
DRIVETRAIN
10. Modifications to the gearbox, transmission gears, slipper clutch, driveshafts and bearings are not allowed.
11. Each track must set a pinion rule based on what is best for the individual track. All racers must run the specified gear. Gears must be made available for inspection if requested by other racers or race officials. Spur and pinion gears are allowed to be after market replacements for the Traxxas.
12. The differential may not be locked or modified in any way.
BODY, WHEELS AND TIRES
13. The factory tires and wheels (RTR version) must be used and may not be modified in any way. Tires (RTR) from different SC manufacturers may be used.
14. Softening compounds or other traction aids may not be used.
15. A Factory Short Course body or aftermarket body specifically sold for the Short Course Trucks must be used and may not be modified in any way other than the addition of decals or paint. The body must be mounted using the factory body posts. The body must be trimmed using the factory trim lines, and may not be modified in any way other than the addition of decals or paint.
ELECTRONICS
16. The original brushed motor from the manufacturer is the only motor legal. No brushless motors in the stock class even if it comes in the truck from the factory. A brushless motor MUST race in the Mod class. If a manufacturer does not offer their SC truck in a RTR option than an RTR motor/esc combo from one of the other SC manufacturers may be used. Manufacturers ESC/motor combos must be used as a combo. No motor from one manufacturer and esc from another. No other esc or motors will be allowed.
17. Aftermarket transmitters, receivers, and servos may be used.
18. Motor and Esc connectors may be changed or eliminated.
19. The motor's label must be intact. Motor modifications of any type are not allowed.
20. Piezoelectric gyroscopes or other stability-enhancing electronic devices are not allowed.

25. The following Traxxas upgrade parts are legal for Slash racing: 2667 aluminum shock caps.
26. The following aftermarket upgrade parts are legal. RPM gear cover.
The idea for this class is to keep it spec and affordable. In the process of the year we may find other areas where an upgrade part or aftermarket part may be needed to make the trucks more reliable. Because of this additions may be added at any time. Upgrade suggestions must come from the participating tracks and be based on an unusual amount of breakage.

If you have any questions I will try to answer them or Ted should be able to awnser them. Pm me or post here with questions. If i can't answer them I will talk to the Big Guys.
You can find more info on the RCsignup web site. It still needs to be up dated to reflect the new classes but be patient. The general series rules are there, it explains how the point are done and so on.
Don't forget to register or your points won't count. Best of all its free to the racer and the track, so it would be silly not to register if you are going to be racing one of these classes at the Hill this year.
Thanks, Greg
Teddy Johnson 04-17-2010, 10:26 AM :thumbsup:Well the nitro track is stripped and the new track is going to begin being built asap. will have pics when track is complete.

trashedmaxx 04-21-2010, 11:10 PM What classes does everyone plan on running this summer? I plan on running 2wd buggy and 2wd stadium truck.
badassrevo 04-21-2010, 11:12 PM 2wd buggy and E scale
Bshay 04-22-2010, 01:01 PM 2wd buggy and E scale
bennyboy 04-23-2010, 05:07 PM E-scale and 2wd stadium truck
cbrociuos 04-23-2010, 05:30 PM e-scale buggy and truggy, 4wd corr, 4wd buggy. well 2 or three of the 4. question are the novak hv motors going to be allowed in 4wd corr? alot of us are running them (on 2s 7.4volts), and those that aren't are planning on it because the dont overheat. your turnout for the class will be alot better if they are allowed. thanks :thumbsup:thumb
snwchris 04-23-2010, 05:34 PM 4WD CORR (mod class hopefully) I think on your forum listing it as "box" stock class for now. Also might be running 2WD MOD CORR
traxxas_trucks 04-26-2010, 07:44 PM MOD CORR:thumbsup:
cbrociuos 04-26-2010, 08:45 PM if you guys run a stock 4wd corr class does that mean that everyone that runs a truck other than a slash cant race at oakhill? or does that mean that we will have to buy the traxxas esc and motor that most people that run the slash have already gotten rid of? thank you in advance for your response. Chris brocious:confused:
XXXT4me 04-26-2010, 09:01 PM if you guys run a stock 4wd corr class does that mean that everyone that runs a truck other than a slash cant race at oakhill? or does that mean that we will have to buy the traxxas esc and motor that most people that run the slash have already gotten rid of? thank you in advance for your response. cbrociuos 04-26-2010, 09:08 PM thank you Fred. it says only short course tires are allowed then in the next sentence it says 1/8 tires are allowed w/ adapters. i was really looking forward to running on there 1/10 track w/ my 4wd corr, oh well good luck w/ those rules guys. ill probably be up for some 1/8 scale.:)
XXXT4me 04-26-2010, 09:19 PM thank you Fred. it says only short course tires are allowed then in the next sentence it says 1/8 tires are allowed w/ adapters.
I read that as SC tires including 1/8 SC in the Pro 4wd class only.
Pro Lite (Stock RTR) no mention of 1/8 tires
cbrociuos 04-26-2010, 09:27 PM I read that as SC tires including 1/8 SC in the Pro 4wd class only.
Pro Lite (Stock RTR) no mention of 1/8 tires
? i read it again and maybe they mean sc8 rims and tires. they use 1/8 hexes but the tire is the same as 1/10 sc. either way the 550 motors prob. wont be allowed, even though it says any 1/10 rc motor. they came in 1/10 monster trucks. im not going to burn up another 540 motor in my 4wd corr. and i dont have it in me to argue the case again. Zerbs a good guy and runs an awesome program ive got faith he'll figure it out. :)
XXXT4me 04-26-2010, 09:38 PM I am sure someone from the track will be able to get your answers.
blackdragon 04-26-2010, 09:48 PM Cbrocious isn't the only one looking for an answer to this. At least 4 of us from down here want to come and we all run the Novak 4.5HV in the slash 4x4's.
traxxas_trucks 04-27-2010, 03:25 PM 3 Make a class so i dont see a problem with mod CORR 4x4 starting
bookie 04-27-2010, 05:19 PM Pro 2 and Pro 4 are mod classes. Pro 2WD (mod 2wd) & Pro 4wd (mod 4wd).........ELECTRONICS
Any Brushed or Brushless motor/esc for 1/10 scale rc cars may be used.
Those rules that XXXT4me refrences are for the National Championship Club Series. Not sure if these are going to be weekly rules yet. I'll talk to Chris and Chuck to find out. As far as the NCCS, Pro Lite is only 2wd.
The Sc trucks will be run on the electric track, and only on the nitro track if it rains. The elect. track has poor drainage.
Hope this helps. :)
traxxas_trucks 04-27-2010, 05:58 PM Any rumor on a starting date, need to get me schedual worked out:)
Minit76 04-27-2010, 07:00 PM I don't see a problem with the HV seeing the new replacement now states for 10th scale only. So, the HV is now a Ballistic 550 Brushless Motor.
Later,

bookie 04-28-2010, 04:41 PM The classes for SC trucks; box stock 2wd, box stock 4wd, mod 2wd, and mod 4wd.
If you have any questions you can ask Kevin or myself and we will try to answer them to the best of our knowledge. The NCCS rules will only be used for the 6 NCCS scheduled races, and Oak Hill rules for the other races.
Just a couple things about MOD 4WD that Chuck and I talked about is that it will be open motor/esc and only s/c tires and wheels. The reason we talked about these two are that they are different from the NCCS rules. In the NCCS rules it states that any brushed or brushless motor for 1/10 car is allowed, to me it sounds like only 540 size motors. Kevin might be able to clear this up alittle better than me on this one. The reason for the tires and wheels is, in the NCCS rules it states that only tires manufactured for the S/C trucks are allowed. Then says that 1/8 scale tires and wheels may be used with adapters. So, on the tires they are nipping it in the butt and saying only the S/C tires and wheels for weekly racing.
Thanks, :)
