im very glad the last day for a few is going to be nice out, c everyone in a couple hours!!!

I had fun racing a visiting the track, definately a nice facility and electric track as well. I hated that I had to leave early, but it's hard to get baby sitter to cover such a long period from 930 to 530.

4x4 Mod Corr was rather interesting... I definately see how there could be the need for two classes Stock/Novice and Mod or when that many in a class to split up as well.

I look forward to trying to make it out there again soon.

Chim, Good times in the 1/8 nitro buggy main. I heard Dietz ran some "Mikey Thompson swampers", with 1/4" lugs, and you ran some "Baldies" that looked like the top of Zerb's head.
If Anyone talks to Dietz or Chim, Ask them about the nitro Main tire deal they cooked up.


FYI and check your calendars, OakHill is looking at the 14 of August for another outing like yesterday. Details are being hashed out. Possibly a Friday the 13TH, "NightMare on the Hill Shootout" with 2 heats and main, under the lights as a warm up to the next day racing. Camping is available and always a good time with a few laughs.

Thanks Tim, We enjoy coming out whenever we can, though my day didn't go as well as it could have, I could have been away from my table and that lipo let loose and take out all my chargers and such, that I'am very GLAD for. I had one go on me in my basement last year and that was pretty ugly. I'am really hoping to be a part of next months big race as long as I can get that day off. :wave:

What was the reason for the Lipo letting loose like that? Brand/Type of Lipo battery used also, and charger used (was setting on CC/CV or NiMH, etc)?

To ensure safety during racing and those nearby, ROAR approved Lipo brand's go under extensive overcharge, undischarge, and dropping testing for safety to try prevent that kind of thing from happening.

I'm very interested in hearing what happened in your case at the pit table, it will help to prevent a similar espidoe in the future. Thanks.

I like the sound of the August event, the camp/cook and shootout. Anyone who hasn't been to Oakhills yet, it's really a good place to run your cars and just have fun to kick back and relax. Great track and good owners and others who just want to have fun racing, after all that is what it is all about.

Keep us posted about the August event as details are finalized when the date gets closer, have to mark that one down on the calendar to attend.
