How much to race? wheels-a-fire 06-27-2010, 09:44 PM We had a blast everytime we came out last summer and plan on coming out in 2 weeks. jar 06-27-2010, 09:54 PM 2wd for the third? 2wd Jar Truck 4wd SCT Novice 4WD Racer 06-27-2010, 10:12 PM 2wd for the third? I encourage ALL electric racers to come on out, what a great track, enjoyable layout, not too difficult and makes for close racing throughout. You will enjoy it, so come on up!!! 2wd (2 entries so far) Jar 4wd Racer Truck 4wd (1 entry, come on, I know you guys have some of those to dust off!, ha ha) 4wd Racer SCT Novice jar 06-28-2010, 12:26 AM The pictures look phenominal. And, as much as I don't want to run a 2wd on an 8th track, it seems like everyone is going to Classic. However, I'll leave my name on your list until later in the week. As of now I'm still in. jar 06-28-2010, 01:44 AM track looks really nice. Talk about, "bust out the tamper." West coast; here we come. 4WD Racer 06-28-2010, 01:55 AM Hey sounds great Jar. Actually the above pics are of the newly designed 1/10th electric friendly track (the larger jumps 1/8th track is hidden in the background opposite end, not really seen in the pics, and the nitro ran on it separately from the electric program). They ran on the electric track (the pics you see above) last weekend, and from what I saw it was smooth and so much fun to run on for all the 1/10 scales. It is definitely designed for 2wd, 4wd, truck, so on etc, and can tell you all sections and jumps of the track worked great with electric in mind. 4WD Racer 06-28-2010, 02:08 AM I want to come up there this coming saturday (july 3rd). Are you guys racing? What time do you start practicing? When does sign in begin? How much to race? Sorry missed this. From what I saw, grounds open 8:00 am for set up, 8:30 am track opens for electric practice, (no nitro till 9:00 am, agreement with neighbors due to noise) Racing starts 11:30 am, so your welcome to sign up anytime before that. 1st class $12, 2nd class $ 8, 3rd class $6 theycallmeSDZ 06-28-2010, 08:19 AM I want to come up there this coming saturday (july 3rd). Are you guys racing? What time do you start practicing? When does sign in begin? How much to race? Anyone? I would like to run my slash 4x4. Is anyone gonna be running one? Teddy Johnson 06-28-2010, 08:33 AM :thumbsup:Thanks 4 w d, as he said electric practice starts at 830 nitro at 9 am the electric track is separate from the nitro track i was out at the track yesterday it doesn't even look like anyone ran on it. in my opinion this track is probably the best traks yet. l hope to see a bunch of new faces this weekend. theycallmeSDZ 06-28-2010, 09:22 AM I am gonna come up from cleveland. I will be there around 9am snwchris 06-28-2010, 10:21 AM Are you guys running 4x4 Mod Corr or mainly stock 4x4 classes.... I'm looking to make a trip up there in the next week or two and wanted to see if anyone is running in the MOD Class, since it seems like its just box stock class from the sound of things. Chris trashedmaxx 06-28-2010, 11:28 AM I would like to make it out the 3rd but I will be at the classic independence race that weekend. I will shoot for the following weekend. And hope there will be a 2wd class. 4WD Racer 06-28-2010, 12:11 PM Should be, just ask who ever is running it during practice or some have it at their table to run it (their 2wd), and they will be more than happy to I'm sure! bennyboy 06-28-2010, 03:33 PM Ben and Sam will be up, July 3, for some stock truck, E scale and possibly some mod corr. The orginal slash (now mod corr), we bought from Chuck and Chris, is still going but on life support:p. Hey Teddy, I just seen a Mugen truggy go thru my back yard. Was it yours? It jumped the creeK and landed in some poision ivy bushes. Tim rldslick 06-28-2010, 03:57 PM HAY THEYcallmeSDZ i would show up with a box stock 4x4 corr sct. or you will have the same treatment from the locals as you did at medina. read there rules frist. i know you are new at this but tires is a big issue in this class. some one will chime in and tell you what is legal. I stay out off this class do to too many rules.I RUN all 1/8 stuff alot simpler rules. This is not a slam ,it so you will have the wright tires and stuff when you show up so you can have a fun day of racing. if you do not have the wright tires post on here for some one will usualy lend you a set for the day. theycallmeSDZ 06-28-2010, 04:01 PM I appreciate that. i have regular SCT tires. I only ran 1/8th scale tires because there was nothing on their site saying I couldnt. But, Its all done and over with. I stopped by the oak hill track like a month ago. Looks like a really nice place. rldslick 06-28-2010, 04:53 PM it is a nice track and the owners are very helpfull with new people. there is no novice class but they will put you with racers with the same skill level . TEDDY DID SEE YOUR TRUGGY ON THE PIPE. YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD OF BEEN A GOOD PICTURE OF YOU CHASING YOUR TRUGGY OR THE PEOPLE ON THE HILL GETTING OUT OF THE WAY OF YOUR RUN A WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! TED #1 rule in NITRO always have a rubber ban or spring on throttle return!!!!!!! LIKE I said your truggy got to see the out side of the track the inside of the track and the whole park all in one day. ALSO where in the manual dose it say proper way to brake in a motor is to let motor free rev for 4 min. THANKS again for the good laughs!!!!!!!!!!! theycallmeSDZ 06-28-2010, 05:53 PM rldslick.... It's looking too good at Classic. Perhaps you guys need to make a, "summer dull-drums Champs," in August. Please, give me and people down here a reason to come up there and race with you. Teddy Johnson 06-30-2010, 06:14 AM Wow, them are some tough words, have you ever gone anywhere to race that didnt give you a reason to race at there track? as you can see there are special events going on most weekends else where, We have a good group of racers that enjoy racing up here and so do a LOT of others. Have you and your people ever been here? There are mostly the corr trucks and stock truck and 1/8th scale. We are curently working on haveing a special race in august in which will give you and your people a reason to come up and race with us. Im thinkin if I have to have a reason for me and my people to race a toy car other than just going and haveing fun? Its time to retire the controller and go to go play golf or weed the garden? theycallmeSDZ 06-30-2010, 08:22 AM Well said Teddy. I will be coming from cleveland on saturday with my 4x4 slash. I tried getting others to come, but most have family stuff this weekend. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
