You know at one time Chris /Zerb had more nitro equipment than a hobby shop. Not cheap stuff, but the high end Mugen stuff. Thanks for checking on the starter. I slapped the extension in a drill and it works fine. I picked up the Nitro truck Bill Kurtz had for sale. Don't ever hesitate to buy from this guy. Honest as the day is long. I think I have found my class. No need to pass, just run em over on my way to the finish line....................:dude: That little Neer girl best watch out. She really hurt me last Sunday when I asked for laps ( at our upcoming grudge match) and she said, " how many would I like"..... Her father has taught her well, biggest smack talker has the edge. Tim bennyboy 08-12-2010, 08:38 AM After "The Nightmare on the Hill Race" this Friday/Saturday, I say we have a Corr race where Mike Johnson shoots at the vehicles racing with his bow.......................;) Now, don't get all worked up Corr drivers, I just picked a style of vehicles which was durable............ Tim bennyboy 08-12-2010, 08:43 AM I have seen real cars with bullet holes in them, just think what you could tell all the other guys at neighboring tracks how you got an arrow sticking out of your Corr...................... You could tell them you where chased by indians. Last Corr running with no arrow stuck in it wins! Oakhill Raceway, always adding another demension to Racing!!!! Tim bennyboy 08-12-2010, 08:51 AM Zerb, me and the boys will be up Friday have the steaks ready. Just to let everyone know, Firday nights before big races at Oakhill is all you can eat steak night............................:hat: Well, maybe not. Tim 4WD Racer 08-12-2010, 01:45 PM Hello all, I'm working on coming up to Oakhills on Friday. I may not be able to stay for the full weekend program due to other circumstances, will see what I can do, but look forward seeing everyone again. Nitro's track looking great from the pics, and am sure the electric track too after all this time. Teddy Johnson 08-12-2010, 06:58 PM Well Tim, so far mikey is in first place 14 points ahead of second. So, he said he will be ready:thumbsup: I'm thinking that Zerb an Kevin will first to go since they battle to beat one another? drbob93 08-12-2010, 07:07 PM does anyone have the part number tra2669(there traxxas shock cap bushings and pistons) i will buy them from you saturday at oakhills track, pm iff you do thanks bookie 08-12-2010, 08:47 PM After "The Nightmare on the Hill Race" this Friday/Saturday, I say we have a Corr race where Mike Johnson shoots at the vehicles racing with his bow.......................;) Tim Always thinking Tim.:p:thumbsup: bennyboy 08-12-2010, 09:56 PM Well Tim, so far mikey is in first place 14 points ahead of second. So, he said he will be ready:thumbsup: I'm thinking that Zerb an Kevin will first to go since they battle to beat one another? Way to go Mike!!!!!!!. Keep shooting straight. Tim bennyboy 08-12-2010, 10:56 PM Ted, I think we could put Mike up on the garage roof, with his bow. That way, whatever vehicle he hit, would like be pinned immediately to the gound, right in its tracks..............;) He could make alot of money taking bribes to hit other's vehicles Tim bennyboy 08-13-2010, 09:08 AM Vic, They had the compressors here in Ashtabula. I picked you one up. $62.00 including tax. I will bring it up to Oakhill for a $50.00 handling fee.:tongue: Well,For Brandon and Mike I will haul for free. Tim Vic, The Compresssor comes with an air chuck only, NO BLOW GUN. You will need to pick one up, as I did when I bought mine. Sam just pointed this out to me and I thought you would like to know. Now, I know a few people I work with (blow hards), that if you place a quick connect air fitting in a certain place, on their anatomy, and raise their arm, a blast of air will come out of their mouth. I am sure you know someone who you could use as a blow gun.......................... Tim Packing up to leave for the "Nightmare on the Hill". Gonna be some fun on the Hill tonight and Saturday. Dirt banked oval track at The Hill is 25-30 years old, with a lot of run time on it. Real treat under the lights. Go Fast and turn left.!!!!! bennyboy 08-13-2010, 12:42 PM Ted, Can Mike shoot flamming arrows? I have another idea "burning" in my mind as I type. I am starting to see many variations to racing, at "The Hill", when Mike's bow is introduced. Tim bennyboy 08-13-2010, 02:47 PM Hello all, I'm working on coming up to Oakhills on Friday. Dave, Hope to see Sue and you up on "The Hill" tonight. Tim 4WD Racer 08-13-2010, 04:12 PM Sounds good Benny, I think it will be fun and for all of us too. I love just watching her run and have a good time. It's important to keep the interest going overall, and keeping r/c fun, which is what it is all about. I just had to get the brake lines fixed on the car, it went out completely with fluids coming out everywhere in the back towards end of this week before this event. Perfect timing I know, but working on getting things up and ready to actually being able to come out and get there, and have fun, ha ha. Thanks. chim13 08-13-2010, 11:21 PM Hey guys i have a bunch of tires for sale again buggy and truggy come by the k and b trailer and check them out, cheap cheap:wave: XXXT4me 08-14-2010, 12:38 AM 1/10 track looks great and very well lit. Should be a blast!! trashedmaxx 08-14-2010, 05:15 AM Good luck to everyone racing. Should be a good time. I have some prior obligations to attend so I will not be in attendence. I really hope for a big 10th scale turnout. bennyboy 08-15-2010, 09:25 AM Great time, great prizes, good food, plenty of laughs, tracks were awesome, night lighting rivaled a night time construction sight. Ben wanted to make a weekend out of it, so we set the van up to be able to sleep in it and arrived 5:00pm friday night. Some boys from Brookville, PA.were set up in back, of nitro track playing with there nitros. This excited me, since I now own a MGT nitro. I prefer to race with no tubes down on a track, tubes are really only bumpers for those who lack the quick, cat like dexterity, eye to hand coordination, mental fortitude as us monster truck drivers are blessed with. Racing with tubes down is like bumper bowling. My boys stand in awe, laugh ,of my skills of how well I drive. The diesel lighting generator was already on site thanks to Big Chris's dad who picked it up. Zerb and Chris finally arived home, after a hard day at work, about 7:00 pm. Now, they were in a big hurry to set up the diesel generated lights and I wondered what the big deal was, everyone has seen lights up on a pole, or at least I thought. Well, these "Hill People" , I guess never have seen lights on a pole. I look out and there is like 50 locals, Hoover, his very lovely companion Janey, Zerb, Zerb's lovely wife, Chris, Chris's dad, Chris's mom, Zerb's two dogs, and 40 neighbors looking up at the light pole with the lights not on. Well, they fired up the generater and these Hill People were like mesmorized at these "lights on a pole". Well, I just could not resist to make the comment, quite vocally, "haven't you hillbillies seen lights on a pole before", needless to say the rest of my weekend was not as hospital as I would have hoped. I did notice, that when I was around the locals, they had a "twang" in their speech. Bottom line, practice under the lights Friday night, was Fantastic! Just ask 4WD Racer when you see him. Saturday started off with 7- 1/8 buggies and 8-1/8 truggys racing. Racing was tight and close, in both class, all day. What happened to Rick D, Bob H and Dino? You were missed. Nitro racing was blessed with no run-a-ways, which happens to be my favorite part (Ted). Nitro finished up at 2:00pm and electric pratice started. Track was groomed to perfection, as always, and anticipation was high for the heats to start. Started racing about 5:30 pm with some very interesting heat races. "Flyin Big O" from down around Burghill, was back in form and was sextupilling the quad. I looked out one time, and the wind had caught his Corr truck, while it was in the air, and it did a piruet (ballarina move for you less cultured individuals), he hit the brake, regained control and landed it. Now, I also notice the "Fying O" busts some dance moves when he races, pretty spectacullar(race moves that is). The "lights on the pole" came on about 8:45, I made sure I had a front row seat to watch the lighting. Looked like rain a few times, some sprinkles, but that was it for the weather conditions. WTF crew was pretty subdued this weekend, but I notice a few of there more rowdy members were not available. Twas a pretty quiet south holla camp area. Tito B shows up with no 2WD, but the track owner starts pulling out some vintage Losi vehicles for Tito to run. They even found a 4wd and truck for ARCS owner and clebrity, Ryan Goff to run. Tito and Ryan are just plain racers, can drive anything that has four wheels on it , no matter the condition. This again proves my theory that oils, tires, foams motors, speed controls are overrated. Congratulations to all TQ'ers and main winners! Thanks to Greg at Craftworld Hobby for the prizes. In closing a good/great time was had by all at a great racing facility. Prizes and giveaways were top shelve and races fees were regular prices. For those who want to have a fantastic racing expeience you need to try OAKHILL just south of Erie,PA in Wateford. Just look for the hill with no light poles........................... Tim nothin special 08-15-2010, 10:05 AM Crarftworld for the prizes . I was there all day and didnt hear of any prizes during the nitro day. bennyboy 08-15-2010, 12:49 PM Crarftworld for the prizes . I was there all day and didnt hear of any prizes during the nitro day.
