The area behind the fire station is a large grassy field with the tractor pulling track running down one side. The surrounding area will be available for pits. We will be running power cords from the station and then you will be able to plug in. You will be a block and a half from where the vendors and entertainment will be. On Saturday the local Lions club will be preparing a pork chop dinner at the fire station and they will be cooking the chops just behind the station. I think you will enjoy the race and if you want to stay for the entertainment later that night you will be welcome.

Update on Losantville RAce:

Forecast now says spotty but not all day rain. We may get it in.

I did pick up some more door prizes today.

9:30 PM update.

Track has been tubed, tested, and we only need to do a couple of things in the morning to be ready to race.

Great race at Losantville today. Slight mist before round one kept the track damp. We had the fire department water before round two and then again before the mains. Everyone said the had a good time. Great to see Gary Fanning and Mike Hanneman again.

Good racing, good food, and and a great time. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks to Bob, Steve, Josh and all who helped including Rod Detrich. Also thanks to the PPR and LTR racers. Enjoy the trophies and door prizes. Again, thanks to all of you.

I had an awsome time at the festival. Wouldnt have missed it for nothing. I'm also real sorry to hear Indy Slots is running offroad the same day I do. I scheduled All my events around their schedule and then they do this. It just goes to show you have to be careful who your nice to. If this is the way the way they do buisness count me out.

On with life. Pierce Park Raceway's Trophy race is on the 27th. Entry Fees will be $10.00 per class. Classes will be Stock Shortcourse, Pro Shortcourse, Pro 2wd Buggy, Pro 2wd Truck. Their will also be a 50/50 drawing so PPR can upgrade sooner to the new lap counting system. $5.00 a ticket.

Also I would like to thank all the new members that showed up Sunday despite the weather. I had a great time.

Sunday was a great day of racing even if my buggy driving sucked. Running behind Fred and Fred Jr isn't bad but I intend on pushing harder the next time. C ya.

Seriously Steve???

Man you know we have around 40 or 50 regulars at Slots, not to mention the most we ever brought with us was 10 I think. The rest of the guys have no interest to travel and have been asking Doug to run Sundays. We also said that the same guys would come back. I know you have allot on your plate with running your own track, but when was the last time you guys came to Slots?

P.S. Doug told them no until none of you showed for our race on memorial day

06-15-2010, 12:01 PM
I'm not upset anymore I just wont be curtious about scheduling as is Slots. Memorial Day I had to work and was pissed about it. Muncie had graduation parties and family reunions to attend to. We all wanted to go but the date was just a wrong date. For Muncie at least. It really doesn't matter because Indy has a larger driver base because of the abundince of Hobby stores and volume of people and better jobs.

I had 46 last sunday. New drivers are coming out every week.

I really hope we can stay friendly between the two tracks because I have enjoyed the races I have attended at PPR. I hope we slot guys are still welcome to come from time to time as well as you guys coming to our track. We all need to stay friends so both tracks may benefit from each other.

Of course the racers are always welcome. I'll just no longer involve Indy Slots as a Buisness Freind. They race 6 days a week I race 2 and I ran my schedule around theirs. I dont race electrics on Saturday's Just practice. Im glad my nitro crowd s growing quickly cause know with Slots opening their doors on my main and only Electric day, I'm afraid of loosing my regular drivers to slots because of the hobby shop. Thanks alot Doug and Chad. It wasnt like you didn't have enough to begin with. Now you have to dig into the new drivers I've made freinds with.

I'm just confused as to why Doug hardly makes any effort to improve his out door track for a couple of years, then I open my track and they redoo it twice and hired a landscaping crew to do it the second time. Then opens their doors on my main and only race day after never running races on Sundays before. I know, I've raced there for 2 years now. They only offered practice out doors on Sundays and ran figure 8 races inside.. The only reason They are opening it up know is because the Shortcourse trucks ruined the inside track and the onroad racers dont like the conditions of it now and he doesnt care if he potential hurts my track. Sounds like 2 strikes to me so im done pitching.

Im not upset at the drivers at all just the back stabbing going on by a place I admired.

I have about 6 more special events this year. And amb rc3 is on its way.

By the way the indoor track has been in progress for some time now. Going to be awsome!!!!! and bigger than Planet R/C.

You know why we built the track twice this year cus the first time it didnt drain right so think what you want cus in reality you werent even in our thoughts when we rebuilt. With that being said I will never come back to ppr seeing as how your mad at me for something the owner of the hooby shop did. I dont own Slots so thanks for putting the blame on me. Dude were 45 minutes apart in different cities grow up...

P.S. I hope your track is a success and I wish you the best of luck. You wont be hearing from me anymore...

Hey guys - I saw Steve post that you guys really are having a good Nitro run up north of us. I wanted to post this in here since we don't have much of a Nitro ring down where I race in Indy.

I picked up a bunch of R/C stuff from a guy getting out the hobby, and there was this one Sportwerks Termoil 1/8 scale buggy. Here are some pictures of it:

http://www.blackdragonclan.net/chief/nitro/nitro1.jpg

http://www.blackdragonclan.net/chief/nitro/nitro2.jpg

The story behind this is that the previous owner had sent the motor in and it was replaced with a brand new one. There are no scratches on the car at all. In fact, everything looks brand new except one rear tire has some wear on it (no idea why it's just one tire). One of the servo's is spektrum. I have never started it, and I wouldn't know exactly how to be honest. I am an electric guy.

There also is brand new, never been used Dynamite Universal bump box included, I just forgot to take a picture.

I don't race Nitro and I have no desire to do so. I am looking to get $200.00 for the whole thing - including the bump box. Like I said, it's not been started, but it should be fine. It's sold As-is and the price reflects this.

If you're interested, send me an email at cory@indyrcracing.com with a contact number and I'll get in touch with you. You can also send me a private message here. I know you guys are up north; I work at 69 and 82nd, so I am sure we could work something out so you wouldn't have to go all the way to Indy.....

Thanks for looking - good luck up at PPR!!!

-- Cory

That is a good deal. I think I know someone who is looking for a 1/8th nitro, I will point them that way.

Our nitro group is growing and this could kick it up some more.

What's the story behind the indoor track? Sounds awesome, any details to share?

nutz4rc
06-17-2010, 10:50 AM
I think it is too early in the process to share the info. Steve has been looking for over a year and had many prospects. Sometimes when the word gets out too soon it turns out to be a disappointment. I don't know much more but I know if he gets what he wants, it will be a fantastic facility.

High everyone I just moved from Juilet IL. and I'm a long time driver. I seen your track and others on the web. And I visited Indy Slots nice place but the people that worked there were jerks to say the least. Ive been reading your threads and visited your site and would like to come up there this weekend. If any one could help with directions that would be great. I live 10 min. from 69 and 82 street. I run 4 classes all electric.

You guys dont mind if I ask questions about other tracks do you. I was basicly treated poorly by some people from Indy Slots or whatever. For the second time. I'm new like I said and wanted to get a feel on how racing is in Indiana.

kisma R/C
06-17-2010, 07:12 PM
Wow some guy named railroader just erased questions I was asking. I think it was him. It happened after he said this thread is for Indy Slots. And I looked at the bottom of this page and his watching what i say here to. This is creepy sorry I sighned up here.

indianchief
06-17-2010, 07:20 PM
I am not sure whats up but Railroader isn't a moderator here, so he's not erasing any of your stuff. No one in our thread can do that LOL. And I am not sure how we're treating you poorly over in the Indy Slots thread, I've been the only one really replying and I've been polite the whole time......

Sorry PPR guys - don't mean to butt into your posts - but I am a bit corn-fused here.

kisma R/C
06-17-2010, 07:23 PM
did you see my threads get erased? after that guy said this was an Indy Slots thread. I just wanted to talk about racing and some guy "railroader" basicly told me to stop talking about stuff other than Indy Slots. Not cool at all.

indianchief
06-17-2010, 07:26 PM
Dude - he can't erase stuff - no one can......

Sorry Nutz4RC and Kick Mudd - I'll stop sidetracking your thread. Someone might wanna explain to the new guy only moderators and admins can remove posts.....

kisma R/C
06-17-2010, 07:37 PM
It looks like noone else is here Ill check back later. Looking for a freindly enviroment to race so far my first day here and ive been threatned, confused and humiliated.

racer357
06-17-2010, 07:43 PM
No one has threatened you anywhere, you claim to be an experienced racer, just new to the area. If that is the case just show up and race. If you truly have much experience the questions you are asking are redundant.

If you truly aren't looking for drama, stop jumping back and forth between two threads creating it.

The ppr folks have a great place and with their pending aquisition of the new amb3 decoder they are only getting better. If you wanna race with them, load your gear on Sunday and Roll out.

The other facility is also a good place and also improving, if you wanna race there, Load your gear on Saturday and roll out. How dificult can RC racing be?

racer357
06-17-2010, 07:45 PM
Btw guys I stopped in at linville hobbies again and he still has 20 red transponders and a charging rack he would like to sell if you guys are interested. www.linvillehobbies.net to get the phone number.
