There is nothing wrong with having a mod class. My only point was when you have 10 guys racing a class dont give them options cus then instead of running a 10 car class your running 3 classes with 3 drivers in each. How is that any fun???

Ill probably run all pro open classes except a stock shortcourse and let everyone duke it out amongs themselves. That seems to be the best part of racing. But we will work on the rules for Left Turns latemodel class Id like to see a 17.5 brushless or stock and any shortcourse only tire and wheel rule.

On an unrelated matter we broke out the drag cars for the first time today at Muncie Dragway and the car I built brought home a First Place win with Jenna Pierce behind the wheel. Thats right a girl took home the win tonight in a drag race.

no ....i have not tried it yet just wanting to know if i could run both types of batterys in the li-po cut off mode

If you run a nimh while your esc is in lipo cutoff mode you will recieve poor performace from your truck because nimh's drop in voltage faster than lipos. The lipo cutoff monitors your voltage on your battery.

Did you get a Losi buggy?

New announcement: Venom is releasing it's own short course truck. This one has one really unique feature. The motor and tranny can be in the rear or mid motor. Steve, remind you of X 6, X 60, or SCX from X Factory. There is a link to the announcement on the offroad racing at Indy Slots thread on HT.

This combo might prove very interesting on our tracks. I saw some pics and it looks like it is well built and designed. Time will tell how well it works.

Fred,

If you got a XXX CR here is something you need to know. The EA 3 material that they used for chassis, shock towers, and arms is very brittle. It breaks too easily. Most of the guys who ran the buggy switched back to graphite chassis immediately. They switched out the other stuff as they broke it.

I drove one of these before I went to the B 4 that I did run. B 4 was better. Then went to X 6 and liked it even more. I found an X 6 for Steve and now I have another for myself.

C ya Sunday.

Cant comment on the buggy convo other than I love my B4, but Ive never drove any other kind of buggy.

Ill just shut up now... LOL

It should be interesting. I know the SCX 60 by X Factory that is being tested now is very fast and handles well; but it won't be available as a kit for a while. The mid motor design works well but Venom has a shaky rep so who knows how good it will be.

I thought I was going to be able to make it down for the race Monday but my niece has here graduation open house on Monday afternoon and evening. Gotta do the family thing or get my chops busted.

C ya soon.

Come on over and Steve or I or both of us will let you run ours. They drive a bit differently and his set up and mine are not the same. But each of us likes ours the way they are. I am still getting my buggy legs back after a long lay off. I have been running SC truck and high banked carpet oval and no buggy for a long time.

In 35+ years of racing, I have run about everything. Traxxas (when they built raceable kits and had a race team), Kyosho, Losi, Associated, and X- Factory.

Cracker,

I think you are right about that one.

Sounds like it might be a good weekend for racing except maybe Friday night. But then again the weather forecast may change many times before then. Take off your hat, stick your head out of the window, if it comes back wet....it is raining; if not....it is time for racing.

Had a great time last weekend hoping for another. Can anybody bring down Privett Jr. I'm sure going to try. Better Bring your A game I'm tired of looking at the back of your cars all through the race.

nutz4rc
06-04-2010, 12:38 PM
Fred Jr. isn't invincible, but he is very good.

You are going to need to cut the corners close, take the jumps smooth, and stay right on his backside.

06-04-2010, 05:58 PM
we will be there, freddie got a old losi buggy should have it up and running 2 weeks, its a bk2

Hey guys how we doing, just getting back to racing after a few years off.
Have couple questions about the losantville race.
1: Entry fee

2: Can we park at the track and pit from our vehicles [back of truck]
or do we need to park some where else and pack it in [not fun with a forty#
canopy and 2 gear bag's].

Dropped by the track over memorial day weekend looked nice hope to get up
there some sunday and play, thank's in advance.

thank you , but is there an entry fee, and from what you posted I take it we may not park and pit from our vehicle at track side.

nutz4rc
06-05-2010, 08:30 PM
Sorry about that. Entry fees are $15 first entry, $10 second and $5 third.

There will be some door prizes also.

You WILL BE ABLE to pit from your truck in several different places. We are keeping a lane open along the edge of the track so the fire department can drive their truck down the side and water the track if necessary. The other side of the track is a farm field and nothing will be on that side. You should be within 10 to 15 feet of the track depending on where you park.

Thanks Fred. I didn't want to sell it out from under him. I had someone offer me $25 more than I priced to him at and didn't want to sell until I knew.
