nutz4rc 05-10-2010, 09:27 PM We should see some real fun racing in every class. The buggy class is growing fast. If any one needs a B 4, contact me; I have an extra.
We all love (not that way) Chuckie is right, Brad.
kick mud 05-10-2010, 10:45 PM Updated Race Results for Mothersday race. Added new pictures at the Pics and Vids.
Check it out at www.pierceparkraceway.com. Thanks Mark Stewert for the pictures. Thanks again to everyone for coming out. See you all next week.
crackersmacker 05-10-2010, 11:08 PM damn Steve just checked out the new pics....
You been busy. Cant wait to hit the track and the rest of the Indy boys are gonna flip... Great work!!!
nutz4rc 05-11-2010, 10:03 AM Pics don't even do it justice. Wait until you take your first lap. If you don't look the track over closely, you may be crashing a lot. It is a fun layout, challenging, and still has a very fast section. Something for every driver.
twin racers 05-11-2010, 12:36 PM What time are people getting there in the mornings and what do you start I can't remember
nutz4rc 05-11-2010, 12:41 PM Racers start arriving around 10. The website still says starting at 2:30PM but I am certain Steve moved that up. I will check with him and one of us will post here to confirm.
twin racers 05-11-2010, 10:42 PM Up as in later or earlier
kick mud 05-11-2010, 10:48 PM Earlier.
kick mud 05-11-2010, 10:51 PM damn Steve just checked out the new pics....
You been busy. Cant wait to hit the track and the rest of the Indy boys are gonna flip... Great work!!!
Right on, Right on. Ill open the track for now on at 10:00 am on both days. You can get there earlier if you wish. Just dont take my spot.
kick mud 05-11-2010, 11:24 PM I will certainly make a trip. It sounds like you are on top of some of the issues that plagued the place in the past. I will be careful and not pit too close to Steve (LOL) so no one associates us together (HA).....
OUCH!!
nutz4rc 05-12-2010, 10:03 AM Just having a little fun with you Steve. I would pit close without question.
Twin Racers,
Just a reminder the start time for racing is now 1:30 PM. C ya
nutz4rc 05-12-2010, 02:32 PM Another monsoon moved through today, but it was short. Hopefully this water will get away quickly. Steve has made some improvements to drain water faster and keep it away from track surface.
crackersmacker 05-12-2010, 08:28 PM We should see some real fun racing in every class. The buggy class is growing fast. If any one needs a B 4, contact me; I have an extra.
We all love (not that way) Chuckie is right, Brad.
I know someone that might be interested...
He is looking for a B4 his # 317-560-3083 Travis.... Give him a call
nutz4rc 05-12-2010, 09:02 PM Sold the B 4 earlier this afternoon. Sorry. I may have another in a few days. I will call when it comes in.
nutz4rc 05-13-2010, 12:07 PM Steve posted on website that the water has receded a lot and we should be good for Saturday and Sunday. Let's hope that it continues to improve.
kick mud 05-13-2010, 05:58 PM The track is almost completely dry already. Dont forget Saturday is nitro races and electric practice.
nutz4rc 05-13-2010, 06:57 PM Bob cancelled tonight. We might have been able to race but we would have had to run on the very inside edge of the SE corner and up on the infield. Josh helped me and we got the drain lowered. Hopefully that will help get the water out faster next time.
Looking good for this weekend. Yea Haw!
nutz4rc 05-14-2010, 12:28 PM Some rain early this morning; but I don't think it was enough to stop the track from being ready for Saturday and Sunday.
Trophies have been ordered for the Losantville Race. Now we need the PPR, LTR, Indy Slots, and Ft Wayne guys to show up for the race. June 12.
PPR and LTR will be assisting in getting the racing done. Thanks guys.
C ya
kick mud 05-14-2010, 11:24 PM We need to know where its at. I heard you say there will be a festival around us at the track. Lots of food and a Parade. Sounds like the whole family could go and find something to do. We would like to know what we can expect.
kick mud 05-14-2010, 11:28 PM Details We need Details!!
nutz4rc 05-15-2010, 08:45 AM Here are the details of the Losantville Race.
LOCATION: Losantville Indiana at intersection of Highways 35 and 36. 15 minutes of South of Muncie on 35. East of Indy on 36.
FESTIVAL: There is a two day Festival on Friday June 11 and Saturday JUNE 12 (DAY OF RACE). There are food vendors, tool sales, other sales vendors, entertainment both local and professional. Usually a rock/country band on Saturday evening. Lions Club usually has a pork chop dinner on Saturday. Good food, reasonable price. Other food vendors have the usual assortment of fair type food. A parade on Saturday. Car show with CWB DJ. Other things as well.
THE RACE: Practice at 10 race at 12. Off road on the tractor pulling track which is directly behind the fire station. Trophy classes will be stock short course, open short course, 4 x 4 short course, and open buggy. We can run others but I have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place A Main trophies for these. Dash Plaques for all racers. We have the area for the entire day so there will be no hurry. AMB scoring courtesy of PPR and LTR. We will run some electricty from the station and have some tables; however I suggest you bring a table, chair, and cord.
Let me know what else you need to know. If I have an idea of how many will be racing, I will know about how many plaques to order.
nutz4rc 05-15-2010, 08:33 PM Got back from grandsons tourney games in Indy in time to run some test laps on Steve's new layout. You are gonna love it. Fun, fast, challenging. You can even run it in either direction (just not at the same time). LOL
Come on out, tomorrow should be a blast.
kick mud 05-15-2010, 08:57 PM You guys wanted it we gave it to you. Trophy races all summer long. Lets not forget about the MONEY RACE at Indy Slots on Memorial weekend.
twin racers 05-15-2010, 10:55 PM Hey still plan on coming tomorrow just please let everybody know if there is going to be a ny problems with the little bit of rain
kick mud 05-15-2010, 11:00 PM I didnt get anything but sprinkles so far. I'll get up at 7:00 am and have a post on track condition by 8:00. You can check here and my Forum at PPR.
crackersmacker 05-16-2010, 01:29 AM Sounds good...
We have around 10 guys coming with us so see ya in morning Drivers...
kick mud 05-16-2010, 07:06 AM The track is dry. We have some overcast but looked clear in the direction the wind is blowing. Just as a precaution may want to bring something to quickly cover your gear incase anything happens.
bigfredzzz 05-16-2010, 08:48 PM just got home from PPR you guys that could not make it you miss some good racing track was hook up corner marshals were great Steve ran a good race like always this track is going to make it i think because the way it is run GREAT JOB STEVE
nutz4rc 05-16-2010, 10:22 PM I agree completely with Fred. A great day of racing on a great track. Glad to see all the INdy guys and now I need to make a visit to Slots. Also hope as many as possible can make it to the Losantville Trophy race on June 12. See details in other post. Don't forget the money race at Indy Slots on Memorial Day.
I had a blast running buggy after about at 5 to 6 year lay off. Pretty rusty but it is coming back. You racers that did not make it, don't know how much fun you missed.
nutz4rc 05-17-2010, 09:23 AM Steve,
The PPR website is down according to the screen that pops up. Were you working on it last night? Just checking in to let you know.
twin racers 05-17-2010, 09:39 AM Hey had alot of fun on that track good job I really hope you guys can get your scoring system figured out we need to be able to run personel transponders I'll try to get (racer 357) to give give you a call.like I said though it is a very fun track thanks for your hard work there I know it's not easy.
nutz4rc 05-17-2010, 12:26 PM Most of the scoring errors were the result of the cars being too close to the tube on the exit of the turn before the scoring loop. Steve will be moving the loop back this week to its previous location. We have had no issues there with scoring. PPR definitely wants the AMB RC scoring system that does personals but it will not recognize the older style transponders that PPR has and there must be some house transponders for those racers that don't have personals. The AMB RC used with 10 house transponders is selling for $3,500 and up USED (when you can find them). Steve is working toward the goal of having the newer system as soon as he can afford it.
With the loop moved back to its original position, I think the problems will be resolved. There is a transponder that Steve must replace a battery in and two that are definitely bad, but he does not use them for scoring.
nutz4rc 05-17-2010, 12:31 PM UPDATE ON WEBSITE:
Talked with Steve and there is a technical difficulty with the website. He called support but there was a 15 minute wait and he was on his lunch hour. He will be trying to resolve the problem later today.
Thanks to all who raced, turn marshalled, swept, watered, or did anything else (like handle transponders-Josh); it is a great time when everyone helps out. If I remember correctly there were more than 32 entries yesterday.
kick mud 05-17-2010, 05:31 PM Glad to hear everyone had a good time. The loop will be moved to its previous location and as soon as its possible Ill be running with the new system.
There were 52 intry's! I was mostly glad that we made it before the rain hit.
nutz4rc 05-17-2010, 07:20 PM Yahoo a new record number of entries. I knew it passed 32 early but never took time to look at the final count. If we get the slackers from LTR there we will be over 60 easy.
Gary Fanning you need to come back and try the new layout. It is much more fun and challenging than before. Hope to see you.
nutz4rc 05-18-2010, 10:20 AM Looks like Steve hasn't got his Go Daddy website to go yet. I am certain he will have it fixed soon.
Looks like this weekend could be a good one for racing. Get those offroad trucks and buggies ready to run. If you haven't run on the new track design, you haven't had real fun yet.
kick mud 05-18-2010, 10:38 PM It should be up and upgraded tommorrow. I even upgrade my website. If anyone knows of anyone that can do website desighns let me know. I will be able to do alot more with the upgrade.
nutz4rc 05-18-2010, 10:57 PM Any tech gurus hiding out there that can help Steve. I have worked on some but my experience is too limited to utilize what he has available.
nutz4rc 05-19-2010, 10:15 AM Steve hopes to have the website back up today. He will then have some new features. Again, any one who is experienced with website development and would like to assist PPR, contact Steve.
nutz4rc 05-19-2010, 12:37 PM Good news, the PPR website is back up and running. Steve will post results soon as he was preparing to do that when the site went down.
nutz4rc 05-19-2010, 05:58 PM PPR is now on facebook. It is listed as Pierce Park Raceway. I am going to check it out, are you?
nutz4rc 05-20-2010, 10:46 AM Weather for the weekend sounds great. Hope to see some nitros here on Saturday. We know we will have electric racers on Sunday.
Remember that Steve will let electrics practice on Saturday if no nitros show and will work in practice if there are nitros at the track.
Great racing!
nutz4rc 05-20-2010, 10:02 PM Some rain tonight and again Friday. Track should be excellent on the weekend.
Hey, Steve; I am a littler skeered....thought I saw some beady eyes down in Lake Steve when we were running last Sunday. LOL
kick mud 05-20-2010, 11:23 PM I was hoping noone saw that. Hey Larry would you please bring your Stock shortcourse sunday to PPR to help fill in that class if needed. Also my brother in law was looking for a slash do you still have one for sale.
kick mud 05-20-2010, 11:25 PM I think i got 3 transonders repaired. ill find out tommorrow at brandons slider tryouts.
crackersmacker 05-21-2010, 12:17 AM I was hoping noone saw that. Hey Larry would you please bring your Stock shortcourse sunday to PPR to help fill in that class if needed. Also my brother in law was looking for a slash do you still have one for sale.
Im selling my stock slash RTR with two lipos. M8 radio, and parts if anyone is interested. Would really like to jump into the 4x4 class and running 3 classes at a time is enough to keep me busy, runing 4 might just drive me nutz...
I like rc racing but dont want to end up nutz4rc.... LOL:tongue:
nutz4rc 05-21-2010, 10:02 AM I understand why you would have trouble with four classes. I used to run stock and mod buggy and stock and mod truck and it was a handful.
That is why I am nutz4rc....but it is more about the fun. LOL
crackersmacker 05-21-2010, 06:31 PM Keep us informed on the track conditions at PPR...
There is a storm moving through and depending on how much rain it drops will make a difference if we race tomorrow. Point being I might be able to get a big group together for PPR on Sunday again this week if we dont race tomorrow...
nutz4rc 05-21-2010, 08:23 PM There is a promotion in downtown Muncie where they are running qualifications with Losi mini Sliders on asphalt parking lot. The PPR/LTR scoring system was being used and Steve was there. He had just come from the track and said it was raceable right now. Check again tomorrow but I think by Sunday, we will need to be putting down some water before each round. 80 + degrees and it will dry up fast. But it will be a blast any way.
bigfredzzz 05-21-2010, 10:06 PM check this out looks like ill be getting a new losi lol
