Great racing today. Everyone was out to marshal, got to the track for their heats, and the track was watered frequently; all that makes for a great day. Hopefully everyone liked the trophies and watch for the BIG announcement for the BIG race with BIG trophies that will be coming.

It helped to have Gary working on the water between rounds and sometimes if dry spots showed up between heats. Thanks to all who helped in whatever way to pull of the race. Watch for bigger and better things to come.

Looks like good weather for this weekend. Saturday bring out the nitros and get ready for your trophy race. Electrics take center stage on Sunday.

Last week was a great trophy race.

I will let Steve the Race Director address the numbers but keep watching here for the announcement of a nitro trophy race coming very soon.

I understand that each weekend a new 1/8th has been showing up so there are enough to race and have some good competition.

PPR has a new AMB lap counting system that accepts personal transponders. This may be the last good weekend to get in some racing. Bring that pink truck Fanning.

I was told he was not running anything winter or summer. I think he has sold his scoring system. Sorry to see it go. Now I will need to drive to Ft Wayne to run off road. Have a great Christmas, Mike.

Yep, It sucks to see it go, but Indy Slots runs a cool outdoor offroad program in the summer, and Summit should be picking it up this summer with a dedicated offroad track (no oval) and some new layouts. There will be plenty of places to race offroad. I hate to see it go though, especially because it was 5 minutes from my house.

Too bad there is no indoor dirt offroad close so we could race some SC in the winter...

Indy Slots runs indoor off-road ( carpet with jumps ) all winter long on a 70' x 45' ozite carpet track. All of you guys are welcome and bring those 1/18 trucks with you too...

Off-road Schedule

Wed 7pm
Sat 1pm and 7pm

Time to berry the hatchet. Give me a call Steve 317-473-7090. If not that's cool, just thought I would try and break the ice. Not sure how much of it is true but I heard through the grape vine something is up with your health. I wish you the best and hope all is well...

I don't think there is a health issue. Several stories going around but I would only believe what comes directly from Steve.

Just a reminder, Spring is coming soon and so is great offroad racing at PPR. Hope to see all the regulars and new racers this year.

Look for more exciting layouts, personals transponders for scoring, and other new developments this year.

Count us Indy boys in at least once or twice a month. If we can work out the details lets get an event or some kind of point sereis going this year. Im pretty sure we can get JCP to come in on it as well. Between us, PPR, JCP, and Left Turn I think we could do something big...

I picture an Indiana point series. Lets get as many tracks as we can involved. One race at each track like every 2 or 3 weeks and let the chips fall where they may...

nutz4rc
03-12-2011, 01:55 PM
I can't speak for the track owners; but I would think they would be interested. We are going to enlarge Left Turns offroad this summer. I think as it measured, we are adding another 110' to the track. The dirt tri oval will remain at 215' run line.

Good stuff guys...

We leveled our track yesterday so its just a matter of us getting some good weather to get finished. Im extremely pumped about the off-road racing going on in Indiana this season. If you need any help Steve just shoot me a text or call (317)-473-7090 I be more than happy to lend a hand or just to talk about what our tracks can do together this summer...

There have been racers running practice at PPR the last couple of weeks. Preparing for track changes and mods that will be made. Some new racers as well.

Should be a fun spring and summer.

Steve is working on several changes to the track, drivers stand, and scoring system. He wants to go all personals this year.

Watch here for updates or check out the entirely new website:

Been quiet on here but here are some updates. PPR will have a new AMB RC scoring system this year that will accept personals (both AMB and MRT). Some redesign of the track, change in drivers stand, some trees removed, more pit area, nitro pits now installed for driving up on and then back onto track, port-a-potty in place (we know how important that is), look for more updates here. Season will probably start mid May depending on the weather.

Pierce Park Raceway will finally be open May 22 2011. We will not have house transponders so bring your peronal AMB or Mrt. transponders. Sighn up on our new website WWW.PIERCEPARKRACEWAY.COM.
