The biggest thing for rc racing in the area would be a weather forcast of 75 deg and partly cloudy with no wind or rain. Granger Offroad already is the place to be on any given saturday

Another good thing for local rc racing would be Mike got his nitro revo put back together just in time to race with the traveling rc monster truck drivers and we have 50 ntries in that class alone. Hey Jeff dont you have a monster truck?? I know some of you other granger racers have monster trucks sitting at home waiting to run again. Sept 3 would be a good day to bring em back to life.

Good luck with rousing more monsters Gary. If they come, we will run them. If you haven't figured it out yet, my revo is really just a shelf queen to hold the cool old Bronco body. I have lots of cars and trucks that are much faster and more fun to race so it's pretty unlikely that I'll invest much time or $$$ making it run :)

Hopefully the ones that were here last week all come back to race so there will be enough.

Cool. We run all classes electric and nitro that we have at least 5 entries for (and combine classes occasionally to let everyone run).

This Saturday the track opens at 9:00 and we will be starting the race program by running the mains that got rained out two weeks ago promptly at 10:30. Then the regular program will start at noon with three rounds and the mains. You can buy into the first set of mains for $5.00 each entry. The regular program is $15 for your first entry $10 for your second and $5 for any entry after that.

We will also have concessions on site for lunch.

I think we are going to have a great turnout this Saturday too. See you trackside :thumbsup:

OK racers, first I would like to say Thanks to all the guys (and gals) that spent the day with us. We had a great turnout. The combination of having full heats, the scoring bugs all fixed and some much needed help running the show made for a very enjoyable day (dang the rain). I had more than one person tell me they could tell I was having fun too (thanks, I was).

For the next time (September 3rd) we will be changing things up just a bit.

We will start by running the mains from today's race. Due to adding this extra round of racing, we will be starting at 10:30 and running the program super smooth and on time just like today.

Now here's the cool part: todays entries are automatically entered in the mains. Anyone that missed today can join in the mains next time for just $5.00 per entry. We will use qualifying from today to set up the mains with any additional entries added in the order they register.

Thanks again to everyone for giving me an enjoyable day! We'll see you trackside in two weeks

Well, had a good time playin' in the dirt with everybody as usual today, only to be trumped by the rain and lightning of course!:mad:

Tell ya'll what tho, i ran into Granger to get some E-85 for my Laser, and when went back down the road, WOW!
Got friggin' hammered on CR6, super-close lightning, branches down across the road, super heavy rain walls, and just before i made it to the house i got pummelled by bout 3/8" HAIL!

Made it to the house ok of course, but dang, that was prolly the worst weather i've ever driven in , in a long time!

Might not have seemed so bad with the Tahoe i guess! lol

Back on the positive side, great show today at the track, and happy to get out and meet some new people from other areas and get to run with everybody!:thumbsup:

Even though M.N. Showed up, i had a blast on the new layout! Very challenging but when you hit that sweet spot in the back stretch...awsome flow!!! Looked like kevin lewis may have caught the rc bug too! And a big round of applause to todd for the smooooooth show!!!

Big thanks out to all our racers that spent the day with us yesterday! Bummer about the storms, anyone know where we can get a big-top circus tent large enough to cover the whole track?

It was awesome to have Kevin Lewis from WNDU spend the day with us. He was a good sport and even tried his hand at a couple of races. The exposure should be a great thing for Granger Raceway and RC racing in the area. Thanks Kevin, we'll see you soon!

to all my friends i race with at gobles and granger I'm sorry I didnt stick around to race on saturday there was issues going on in the family and the track was not the place to take care of them. I hope no one is mad if I didnt say goodbye or was offended brash attitude towards anyone. I apoligize
