When we went in Tuesday to get him checked out and re-casted it was discovered to be displaced (not properly aligned). He went in this morning for surgery to move it and add a plate to align the tibia. The surgery went well acording to the Doc, and Austin and Pam are staying overnight and he will come back home tomorrow. I came home to put out the trash and let the dog out and will go back in the morning. It looks like his recovery will now be extended by a while. He was even game to try racing tomorrow until we found out about the surgery. Thanks to our racing friends for all the calls, emails, prayers and well-wishes. We'll get him back racing as soon as he can  Mangler64 01-06-2011, 09:32 PM Well, it's been a tough week. Most know that Austin broke his leg about a month ago. This is an annual event for MRCR that is generally the biggest race of the season. It's a well-run and supported program and a great time. We'll see ya all for some great carpet action this weekend  AChupp2 01-18-2011, 01:07 PM Are the Street Fighter Tires for Short Course gonna be mandatory for this event? As far as I know the Street Fighter tires are not mandatory for this event. For the rest of this year the track has decided to allow the Street Fighter, stock Associated and stock Blitz tires and will switch to using the Street Fighter tire only next year. Nice facility, great guys and a smooth day of racing were enjoyed by all that went. Thanks to Tony and his crew for their hospitality  amweaver47 02-14-2011, 12:01 AM Newsletter 2-14-11 No. 1 Well 2011 is here and preparations for Granger Raceway’s 2nd season are in order. This year we will try to send out regular newsletters to let you know the latest information about Michiana’s premiere off-road racetrack. The groundhog thinks we’ll have an early spring, which is just fine for the Granger crew because we are ready to get the season moving. Also this season we will keep our website up to date and utilize it’s potential including having a full Events Calendar. Speaking of the Events Calendar, we will have our normal Saturday racing, as well as a couple trophy races and the possibility of an outside racing series bringing a race in. We are also trying to get together with other local tracks to work out a points series. This season will bring many improvements to the track layout and racing facilities and with the support of our racers we should have a great 2011 season. We have developed a cost-effective advertising program for folks that would like to support Granger Raceway. If you have a business that would like to be a raceway sponsor and want more details or if you know of one that might be interested, contact us at michael@grangerraceway.com. Have pictures or a video from last season? Any pictures, video clips, testimonials or any other additional content we could use on the website or in future news letters would be much appreciated. This content can be sent to us at amweaver47@aol.com. SEE YA' TRACKSIDE SOON! sdtech58 02-14-2011, 09:32 PM Looking forward to coming up there a few times this year again.
