Loony 10-23-2009, 12:20 AM So I can come up this weekend and use the lift?
Will there be anyone I could borrow to help me?
Roy already offered to watch and yell obscenities...
Just someone to run the controls while I slide it in.
That sounded terrible.

I spoke with Mike Flipse tonight and he confirmed what Roy said on here, Holeshots seem to work pretty good. Remember only 6 people have run any laps on the track so far, so we do not have a good feel for what it will do as the night goes on yet. Holeshots seem to be the place to start though, and maybe have something like IFMAR pins, Barcodes, or Bowties as backups for later in the night in case the track changes. I am going to run Holeshots on my truck and 1/8th scale for sure. I might try them on my buggy to, we will see.
Huh...

Man, how many people are going to ask the same question. Use your eyes and read some of the previous posts.. It has been said a number of times now.
And what ever happened to bringing all the different tires you have and trying them all out. Do we all need to be fed with a silver spoon? Anyone need the winning setup for that track too? I'm all for sharing ideas and setups, but is no one willing to try things out and see what works best for YOU?
OK, end rant.. see everyone there friday!!!

I agree on looking at previous posts but since the track is not open yet and its going to be a zoo there before race time I think its completely fair to ask for tire recommendations from the few who have actually tested out the track, people need to lighten up.
bustedpiecesrc 10-23-2009, 02:16 PM i only have a few sets so it dont matter to me, all i have are crimes and kamodos and other ones i dont know what they are, they almost look like there for a super hard clay track, barely and tread at all.. i will make something work, i just wanna play
Its all good guys. People ask the same question twenty times because they don't want to read through 20 pages to try to find an answer. That's understandable, I do that once in a while to. I don't mind giving the same answer twenty times either, so don't worry about it.
We are down to a week and counting guys! Clock is ticking......
As we have been saying, the doors will open at 6:00PM track will also open for practice at 6:00PM. I want to make sure that the practice is an organized mass hysteria. We will try to keep it to 10 minute practice, then call for new drivers the same as we will do during the races, when your done running in practice, please be ready to help marshal the next group up to run practice laps. Friendly and professional please. The whole idea is for everyone to have fun.

Also, not every one has five boxes of tires. I need to buy some more for the new indoor season. I guess i could go out and buy piles of tires I'll never use.

That's a really good idea because you got less than 2 hours for 80
people (prob more) to practice and it's going to be nuts.
2fst2c 10-23-2009, 03:21 PM you still work for marvin?
LOL I work for Marvin too!

Once again the internet has managed to screw up the meaning behind my posts. I was making some jokes, and merely poking fun at the guys asking. It wasn't suppose to come up bitchy... I have asked myself in the past, so I'm in the same boat they are. I thought it would be funny, But I'm no comedian..
And believe me, I only have like 4 sets of tires for my truck.. Step pins, Ifmar pins, Holeshots and Switches. But i planned on having them all with me and trying them all. But as Rolo has clearly said.. Ifmars/holeshots seem to be a good starting point.
And no blaze, I wont drive your truck because then I wouldn't have someone to beat in the race!!
Loony 10-23-2009, 03:27 PM Is it raining up there right now and will there be anyone there tonight and tomorrow?
HERSHEYSQUIRTS 10-23-2009, 03:52 PM nuts.

Lawn Dart 10-23-2009, 06:02 PM Hey Loony, yes I do. Just need to find time to hook up and get it. When are you planning on being around again?
Uncle E 10-23-2009, 06:53 PM Nice Truck Jason.
Guys will be out working this weekend. If you can put in a couple hours and knock some stuff out, I'd appreciate it. Please keep in mind we will not have time to chat, rather we are seriously busting our asses to get things done.
Uncle E 10-23-2009, 07:22 PM Racers:
Electric is on the wall, so bring needed cords/supplies.
Air is plumbed to the wall at each table. PM me if you want size of needed male fitting.
Currently Proving Grounds has about 70 chairs, Local Racers please bring chairs. I would expect locals to give up their Proving Grounds chair to someone from out of town.
bustedpiecesrc 10-23-2009, 07:29 PM how many nitro guys are going to be there? do you have a rough tally now?? there was only 3 early signups, is there more now?
