I took a few photos of the track area and drivers stand tonight on my cell phone when I was at the track. Here they are. You can start to get an idea of how large this track area is going to be from up in the second story announcing tower!

Just look at that massive drivers stand with ramp......how sweet is that.

I believe each of those squares you see on the floor are 10 foot X 10 foot sections.....it may be 15 X 15....not 100% sure.

I'm thinking it was a good thing that someone was complaining to the city now....

Why would someone do that? Sounds like someone thought there was something they could gain by doing that?

I think I've seen that tactic used before around here in the on-road scene.
Now on-road sucks around here.

I think he was referring to the fact that there isn't many people running on-road right now. Not a personal shot at anybody.

c'mon Fred, I didn't say your track sucks. It's just the on-road turnout sucks.
It's just a fraction of what it used to be. Sorry if I insulted you Fred, not what
I intended.
I probably could have worded that differently.

Is that a hilo I see way off in the distance? Taking a pic from that height really gives a bird eye view. Almost high enough for a nose bleed :dude: When the dark soil and yellow tubing is down there will be no problems seeing the vehicles. One question..... Where are the Hooters girls gonna stand? Oh never mind they will be in the pits serving our food and drinks :woohoo:

Where are the pits going to be? Thanks

They are in the next room over
I think that room is 140 X 36

There are 28 4 x 8 tables with electric at each table that were installed by
a licensed electrician.
-Also a counter that will sell parts and food.
-All walls are white so lighting is awesome.
-Granite topped set up station
-Air through out the pits for blowing off your car. (So bring a small hose and just "hook up")

Im taking some video tonight...
Stay tuned for that- I will upload and post tonight.

I had heard that there might be a rock pile making its way into the building. Where would they put it though? Not sure where there is room for that.

The thought of oval has never crossed my mind. Messed around last night drifting Joe's car and was kind of fun to mess around with. I would love to see a small rock pile make it's way in there somewhere. I have a strong feeling E is not going for that. Just gives me and my add something to do in between heats.

Sorry I could not make it out as I planned to tonight. My wives step father stopped by for an unexpected visit to see our baby. He is a truck driver and got a break in the action today so he came over (and did not leave until 9PM). Fun 7 hour unplanned company!

They're almost half price. Plus you can run the same transponder number in all your cars. Makes it easy to remember. I'll be running them soon. Still going to keep 1 AMB but I've heard good things about these.

Drivers Stand is basically done.
Stairs and railing to Announcers stand done.
Need to finish stairs to drivers stand (rails)
Wheel chair ramp needs rails and finish posts.
Paint it all.
Put banners on it.

I will have more stickers next Friday for everyone.

E, I am making you a custom sticker. (1 of a kind)

Hi,

I run the MRT transponders in my touring cars (VTA, 17.5) and one was run in a dirt oval car all this season at Duke''s. they work great. I'll be running them in my dirt trucks soon at your track some of you guys know me.... Loony does... (poor guy). but as soon as funds allow it I will be out to the track.

Thanks

Tim

Do you need to have a amb number or something before ordering these? I would like to order two of these but it asks for a number (transponder code).

Yes, you need to send one in to get them a number. Here is a cut and paste from them.
R9980 PTX-20C Custom Transponder
Display: Blue LED / 190mm (7.5in) Power Lead
ID Numbers: 20 stored + 1 custom number
or + cloned number enter # (re-orders only
first time orders must send PT & order form)

Ibelieve that is only the case if you want to clone one. If you don't want to clone, they can generate a number for you...

Friday October 30th Electric Off-Road Halloween Havoc race. Doors open at 6:00PM racing starts at 8:00PM.

Three rounds of qualifying followed by the mains. Bump ups for the 1st and 2nd place driver in each main.

Race Entry Fees: $18 First Class $7 Second Class $5 Each Additional Class

16 Years and under $5 per class

Just a reminder that this is right around the corner! Track should be open in the next week or so, but this will be our first big race for the new facility. I will let whomever is going to organize the nitro race on the morning of October 31 announce the details for that race.

Just did some more digging, Looks like they can but the number is not unique. They come with 20 numbers stored and you can change it if you have a conflict. Here's the info:

The PTX is available as individually numbered transponders
(due to the AMB system having 'coded' ID numbers we cannot
produce new numbers, ID numbers are not guaranteed unique)
the ID number of each transponder can be changed by use of
a 'setup' button (20 alternative ID numbers are available).

I am trying to talk Duck into taking some vacation time in order to race with you all for the Halloween Havoc. He has to work Friday night until 6:30pm then be back again Saturday morning at 6:30 am. I'm thinking that he could leave early on Friday and go in late on Saturday morning. He did this a few times for the MORL so what's one more time for Chad right?
