Will know more on this Monday. He still has not updated us because he is down there destroying some office space that he needs gone. I am going to drive over in a few minutes and check it out, I will give you an update when I get home around 4:00PM. Lawn Dart 09-28-2009, 02:00 PM Thanks Revo doox00 09-28-2009, 02:04 PM There going to be short course racing? like the Associated SC10? I have read about these things and people seem to have fun with em. How it is compared to racing normal 2wd truck like T4's etc? The SC10 one of the better short course ones out there.. or are there better options? I prefer a kit to build myself, looks like the ae is the only one out that does this. A 17.5 or 13.5 motor usually ran in these? HERSHEYSQUIRTS 09-28-2009, 02:52 PM There going to be short course racing? like the Associated SC10? A 17.5 or 13.5 motor usually ran in these? SC10 is the way to go. Kyosho is coming out with one, not sure when. 17.5 is the motor. J Blaze 09-28-2009, 03:01 PM sc10 is the only kit as of right now. I know that losi just released a truck and hpi's trucks on its way out. Lawn Dart 09-28-2009, 03:24 PM What are the chances of still doing a land rush start with the SC class?? Maybe just the mod class even. BrentV 09-28-2009, 03:43 PM Hey Brent, I have a LRP TC Spec that I purchased a month ago for a spare. Its been in my parts box since, I could part with it for $100 if your interested. I'm interested, I'll let you know soon. BrentV 09-28-2009, 03:46 PM Is it this one? LRP# 80950 - SXX TC Spec Speed Control BrentV 09-28-2009, 03:47 PM If it is I'll take it Revo 09-28-2009, 03:58 PM Is it this one? LRP# 80950 - SXX TC Spec Speed Control No its the Sphere not the SXX. The SXX is at best $220 or so. Kerby 09-28-2009, 03:58 PM I have a SC10 and love it. I know some people are talking about running in the open class, but not sure if that's set in stone, so before getting a motor i would wait. I have never drove a Slash but those guys seem to like them. SC trucks are a blast to drive and handle quite well, I might get a 10.5, this depends on the track at proving grounds and if enough guys do open. Kerby 09-28-2009, 04:01 PM Lawn Dart thinking of the moto-cross days. I have no objection to land rush starts. Hey Revo!!!! sounds like another poll. From the way it sounds the track will have plenty of room. Kerby 09-28-2009, 04:02 PM Ready..........Set..............Crash!! Revo 09-28-2009, 04:03 PM So did I read correctly, no dirt this wedesday Dirt will come once Lighting and HVAC is in place. Will know more on this Monday. No dirt on Wednesday for sure. The people in the building for the track are not 100% moved out yet. Might be a day or so before the are out. When I was there we were talking about the electrical and lights for the buildings. Got some work to do there still to. Revo 09-28-2009, 04:04 PM Lawn Dart thinking of the moto-cross days. I have no objection to land rush starts. Hey Revo!!!! sounds like another poll. From the way it sounds the track will have plenty of room. My guess is 12 - 15 foot lanes so yes there should be far more than enough room for land rush starts. TOYMINATOR 09-28-2009, 04:13 PM I have a SC10 and love it. I know some people are talking about running in the open class, but not sure if that's set in stone, so before getting a motor i would wait. A 8.5 minimum or a 5.5 is going to be a better choice for MOD. Lawn Dart 09-28-2009, 04:19 PM Bad news on the dirt, but great news for a land rush. It just seems fitting to me since they are corr trucks then they should start like corr trucks. Maybe two lines of 5 that start 5secs. apart or something. Lawn Dart 09-28-2009, 04:21 PM I will probably end up running mod with a 10.5. The 8.5 was soo hard to keep the wheels under the truck. Who knows with the size of the track an 8.5 might be the motor of choice. BrentV 09-28-2009, 04:25 PM I think I'll have to pass, because it is forward only and my 4yrs old will likely need the reverse for bombing around the yard. Thanks though Brent Loony 09-28-2009, 04:37 PM Not a fan of the land rush starts- It always turns out the same in the first corner- The guy with the best hole shot gets a half of track lead and the marshall gets to jump onto a pile of cars and does the best he can getting them going again. For club racing- sure do the rush starts But for big races- please do IFMAR style. Also- Will someone bring a jigsaw with a fine tooth blade Wed. I need one to cut the polycarbonate. speeddaddy 09-28-2009, 04:50 PM Not a fan of the land rush starts- It always turns out the same in the first corner- The guy with the best hole shot gets a half of track lead and the marshall gets to jump onto a pile of cars and does the best he can getting them going again. I need one to cut the polycarbonate. I'll put it on my list and have one there. Kerby 09-28-2009, 05:47 PM An 8.5 might be a bit out of my league, but with big lanes like that anythings possible, just have to wait and see. rodeojoe 09-28-2009, 05:51 PM silly kerby get a 6.5 its a mod class ya know go fast break everything.... not drive consistently and try to win rodeojoe 09-28-2009, 05:52 PM here's one has anyone thought about converting a slayer to electric not sure if they make a kit for it but it might be fun S. TOYMINATOR 09-28-2009, 10:57 PM I was going to purchase a B44 but was told to hold off, that it would be better to get 1/8th 4 wheel, so thats what I am doing.Smart man! You won't regret it! Revo 09-28-2009, 11:07 PM New poll on the www.teamvirusracing.com web site for the short course guys. bustedpiecesrc 09-28-2009, 11:36 PM i voted.... i like the land rush.. i let everyone go and pass almost everyone that crashes in the first corner... not like you get points for being the first to the corner Loony 09-28-2009, 11:38 PM I agree, I will always start in the back... It's fun passing turtles helplessly on there backs. I guess i have to give it another chance. The only land rush I knew was at BFG and It always ended in horror. But the lanes at Proving grounds will be bigger so maybe it will work. bustedpiecesrc 09-28-2009, 11:43 PM yeah buddy.. you got 5 minutes to run why fight for the first corner but it adds to the short course feel just like they do in real life Revo 09-28-2009, 11:45 PM I agree, I will always start in the back... The smart guys wait a second or two and then just drive through the traffic and mayhem on their way to the front of the pack. I believe we will be running 6 minute races at Proving Grounds, not 5. We did several land rush races for the 13.5 trucks in the past and we never had huge pile ups. Maybe its just the SC drivers........ doox00 09-28-2009, 11:54 PM anyone else have a subscription to rc car action digital, you able to login and view magazines? Mine is not working for some reason.. I subscribed last night.. was working last night and earlier today.. now no go. working now... after logging in about 20 times :) beefgravy 09-29-2009, 12:59 AM Dude.. They are in great shape, we ran them in our core trucks for the morl season. Let me know thanks oh yea they do have the lipo cut off this is Dwayne, Kyle can bring them to you or 1 of them BrentV 09-29-2009, 07:53 AM Is it Spread Spectrum or non SS? Lawn Dart 09-29-2009, 09:10 AM I am kicking around the idea of getting rid of my buggy so I thought I would give you guys first shot if anyone is interested. J Revo 09-29-2009, 09:11 AM Getting a new buggy or are you chicken to run with all those fast guys? Lawn Dart 09-29-2009, 09:41 AM I got scared last time out. OR do I have something new up my sleeve???? Revo 09-29-2009, 09:45 AM My vote is for the scared thing. Lawn Dart 09-29-2009, 09:47 AM hahahaha. Revo 09-29-2009, 09:49 AM I added a new RC Track Finder to the www.TeamVirusRacing.com web site. Let me know what you think of it. Once the owner of The Stables wants to announce the tracks location, I will add that track also. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
