I would run these

Stock SC
Mod SC
2wd buggy mod
2wd buggy stock - if there is enough to run it.
mod truck

Really what is the point of running stock buggy. put a mod in it. same with truck.
the reason i say to stick with stock SC, is because there is a huge gathering of it. obviously it is the bread and butter of RC right now. there is no better way to get into this sport than with a stock SC. obviously those guys dont want to be overwhelmed by modified motors, and having to dump huge amounts of cash into there trucks to make them fast.

when the indoor season starts up, im done with stock SC. time to get some balls and motor up. i feel a 10.5 or even a 13.5 is perfect for the indoor track for SC, especially with the Tekin speedos where you can change timing boost.

Now you say this Kyle! Would have won the a main if you werent there saturday! LOL Would have won several races this summer if you werent there! But it sure is making better having you there youve been a big help with setup and watching ur lines on the track has been a big help, now if i can just watch whats going on inside ur head! LOL

LOL, thanks. Its been awesome racing with you Mike. I really wont know what to do when your gone. You better keep in touch.

I would run mod motors in everything now, but I dont have time to switch the truck from stock to mod for each race. then after that you do it 8 times during the day, it just gets old. I could build another SC for mod, but im in the process of trying to come up with a different car than an SC and a truck... we will see which route I go for that. - lots of options, and I am looking at them all.

As far as running only mod, I dont want to do that because all the fun is in stock class. Yeah you can run with the 4x4 guys, but it isnt the same. I like stock because it has alot of competition. everyone is really close as far as speed, and it comes down to wheeling the truck. Also its less of a headache because your not trying 50 different sets of tires hoping 1 set will give you bite.

Ill still be around for the big ones, especially at the proving grounds. Those guys have been great to me and i have had a blast learning from some of the best and worst in michigan. I like running my stock truck in mod and kicking some tail but it has put me at a huge disadvantage a few times now. I might be switching motors back and forth for the morl at pg i have hard time keeping up with 17.5 as fast as that track is.

Stock Buggy bugs me, no pun intended, and with the success of super stock truck we should try 13.5 buggy. Fill that void between mod and stock and hopefully gain some popularity.

Well watch closely because if he wheels this buggy like he used to wheel one a few yrs ago he will be in the top three on the podium. Then again you both could win with a tin can and four Tonka tires.

So you are sayin he drives a buggy better than a truck then?

2nd Annual Michigan State Off-Road RC Championships Sponsored by Castle Creations hosted by Virus Racing and Proving Grounds, Jenison Michigan.

All of the summer racing series are completed, November 13 is quickly approaching, so it’s time to start thinking State Championships! The State Championships will have two divisions of racers allowed to compete.

First, the “Invitational Racers”. In order to qualify into this group, you must have competed and finished in the top 5 in any of the A-Mains for the MORL, FTMS or VRL Series this summer. In other words, the best racers from each of these series get a chance to go head to head with each other for the State Champion title.

Second, we will host the “Open Racers” division for the State Championships. This is open to any racer who either did not make it out to race in the summer series, or did not have a finish in the top 5 in any of the A-Mains. You will compete against each other for the Open State Championship titles.

Official Sponsors Castle Creations and Team Associated.

To simplify things, each racer is allowed to enter up to 5 classes’ total. Trophies will be provided for 1st – 3rd place finishers in each of the A-Mains. Entry fee’s will be $30 for your first class and $15 for each additional entry. Friday November 12 will be an open practice for anyone planning to race in this event. Doors open 7:00AM November 13 and racing starts promptly at 10:00AM. Available Classes are as follows (Must have a minimum of 6 entries in order to make a class official):

Still need to discuss that with you, several ideas ranging from "simple" to "this sucks" but need your thoughts on it. One would be creating a few new classes in the scoring system, which I believe it can do. Like add "Stock Buggy Open" so we can run Stock Buggy and Stock Buggy Open classes at the same time and that would keep everyone separate. That would be the "simple" answer, the "this sucks" answer would be to move the outdoor scoring system inside (which we will end up doing before winter anyway) set it up and run two separate races at the same time side by side, just got to switch over the loop between heats. I am open to any other ideas you may have that will do the same job easier too, just let me know.
