Lawn Dart 04-02-2010, 01:23 PM All I can say is Boat ran my slash for just a few laps about a year ago and holy crap. Didn't even look like the same truck. Should make for some very interesting racing. KennyB 04-02-2010, 02:07 PM Brayden and I had a BLAST at practice tonight. Brayden ran just about non stop all night long with his Kyosho SC and he loved it...The kid took right off! There was a good group of guys with Nitro buggy's and it was fun to mix it up a little... I went out back to check the outdoor track and I will say it is impressive...Nice drivers stand! Cant wait to run on it! yes! practice was great last night! it was the first time that i've been able to get up to proving grounds in quite a while. the track is very 8th scale friendly. is that the layout that we will have for the first nVRL race? Revo 04-02-2010, 06:37 PM yes! practice was great last night! it was the first time that i've been able to get up to proving grounds in quite a while. the track is very 8th scale friendly. is that the layout that we will have for the first nVRL race? KennyB 04-03-2010, 12:21 AM No the track is scheduled for a new design on April 10. I hope it's as 1/8 scale friendly as this one is. munsonator08 04-03-2010, 03:02 AM one thing for sure, its going to be an interesting race. The Chad 04-03-2010, 10:47 AM Is there a chance there will be a novice class? Revo 04-03-2010, 02:11 PM Is there a chance there will be a novice class? The last Bragging Rights race we only had maybe 3 or 4 kids show up for it, so we ran them with everyone else but sorted them accordingly. I just checked and the kids ran in Heat E, so we had the 45 or so faster guys ahead of them in the heats. If we have enough kids show up we can run their own heat and make sure they are all together. If not, we will make sure they still get to run together in a heat that fits their driving skills. The Chad 04-03-2010, 03:32 PM Sounds good man... hankster 04-03-2010, 06:08 PM Fusion Pro Truggy is SOLD LOSI_Duck 04-03-2010, 07:49 PM What time are the doors opening? What time does racing start? Tried to find it in all the pages but could not find it. Thanks! Loony 04-04-2010, 12:20 AM I thought Munson was running a Traxxas? Munson used an SC10 with a 17.5 and killed everyone in stock. He used the same truck and motor to devour everyone in mod. So Kyle and Associated has the bragging rights as of now... Uncle E 04-04-2010, 08:09 AM Norm, nice work on the stand! That was a great night of racing. I especially appreciated the quiet so we could verbally assault each other on the drivers stand. I posted the wrong date at the top of my question. I was asking about next Sunday,April 11th, for the VRLe Pre-Race. This is what I found in the events section is it true for this race also? Tracks and registration will open at 7:00am for each event, registration will close at 8:30am and racing will start at 9:00am. By starting at 9:00am and limiting the entries to 160, each event should be completed by 6:00pm making each event about an 8 - 9 hour day, give or take depending upon unforeseen circumstances that may come up. Good to hear Duck! munsonator08 04-04-2010, 09:51 PM Hey guys, I recently picked up a sponsorship with Kyosho, so im going to be cleaning house. everything must go. The cars will begin to be listed tomorrow, and continuously updated until everything is gone. Cars will be 2 - Factory team T4's, 1 - SC10, 1 - XXXT-CR, 1 - XXX-CR, 1 - XXXT MF2, tons of parts and tires for most cars. More information to come. Just figured I would get the word out, and give a heads up. Kyle Munson. GoDaddy 04-04-2010, 11:14 PM What about 1/8 scale wheels and tires in open class Revo 04-04-2010, 11:21 PM What about 1/8 scale wheels and tires in open class Do you still need to run 1/8th scale stuff on the SCT's? There are a ton of tires out there for the SCT class now. I would think just run one of the SCT designed tires for both classes. Anyone have an argument that will convince me otherwise? munsonator08 04-04-2010, 11:27 PM yes. the 1/8th scale tires belong on 1/8th scale vehicles. otherwise you may as well allow 1/8th scale wheels and tires to be run on trucks and buggies. just my opinion but im sure there are alot of guys that will be on either side of this debate. Kind of funny, I have NEVER seen a SCT with 1/8th scale tires win a race yet. When we ran the first Bragging Rights it made sense because there were only a half dozen tires to pick from for SCT. Now.....you have a ton of choices, and its growing every day. munsonator08 04-04-2010, 11:39 PM different tracks run 1/8th scale tires, and in my opinion it provides an advantage. ive seen it first hand. blue groove tracks and high bite tracks they provide better traction and handling. as far as proving grounds, we havent seen that combo work YET. shawn00sa 04-05-2010, 07:58 AM My son and I went to our first R/C race at Proving Grounds this weekend and had a great experience . From the quick replies to silly "beginners" questions I sent through their website to help with our trucks the whole night. All the guys there including the other racers were very helpful and now we want to go back. Now....How do we make our slashes reliable and fast? Still only a few tires to select from, that actually are worth using, Calibers, Goosebumps and Bowties. All this talk about companies producing new SC tires is great but still unavailable to us, only the pro guy's geat them now. Oh yeah, I in no way support or speak for those who want to use 1/8 scale tires, 1/10 class should be using 1/10 tires.:hat::freak: Kerby 04-05-2010, 08:03 AM :beatdeadhorse::beatdeadhorse:Still only a few tires to select from, that actually are worth using, Calibers, Goosebumps and Bowties. I was the one helping you out from the web site emails. We are always happy to do what we can, everyone is "new" at some point. Its actually nice to be able to use that as an excuse, "I didnt know, Im new to this". Pretty soon you wont be able to use that one, so enjoy it for now! Slash guys, what does he need to modify on his Slash to make it race ready? Lawn Dart 04-05-2010, 11:45 AM Proline calibers or Jconcepts goosebumps make a huge difference. track time is the most valueable thing you can do. J Blaze 04-05-2010, 11:47 AM come to the track and we will show ya how!!! Mike Howe 04-05-2010, 12:50 PM Proline calibers or Jconcepts goosebumps make a huge difference. track time is the most valueable thing you can do. These are brands of Tires.. in case you are THAT new  And yes.. Track time is the best thing you can do at this point. Get the right tires and practice heaps! smitymike11 04-05-2010, 01:46 PM I thought I would ask here since this is the for sale thread. I have a Ofna 1/8 buggy. I think it is a Ultra LX Pro, that is what body I have for it and that is how I got it. It would be a roller with a throttle servo. The questions is what would it be worth? I do not have motor mounts for it. I am just checking to see what you guys think it might be worth, I am thinking about selling it since I have never used it and I am not to sure if I will. I am thinking about selling it because my son wants a blitz. If I sell this I would also be selling a Werks Racing tl28b7, that I was going to use in this buggy, only if I sell the buggy. If someone wants to make a offer on both just pm me a offer. If you want picks just ask. rodeojoe 04-05-2010, 02:52 PM for reliability your gonna want to get rid of the titan and get a 17.5 brushless motor and speed control or you can usually pick up a 27 turn brushed motor and speed control for cheap too mely 04-05-2010, 04:26 PM If it is a ultra lx they sell for around 290.00 rtr with a .28 motor w P/S and am remote. munsonator008 04-05-2010, 04:27 PM 8 hert sell the xxxcr for $110.00 vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
