Uncle E 03-09-2010, 08:07 AM Does anyone have any sets of the blitz tires and wheels they are looking at getting rid of? I have decided to buy a jammin 4x4 and working the deal right now, so will need some blitz tires and a new body. (The jammin has the smaller tires and body... no interest to me)
I also believe slash rims will work but have no interest in slash tires.
You're picky
Uncle E 03-09-2010, 08:09 AM Got 3 laps in last night and you call that practice? FYI slippery conditions result in improved driving skills. Notice Super D was out there for about 6 packs! Should nick name him rainman.
LOSI_Duck 03-09-2010, 08:18 AM After discussing it, we will go back to April 24th as the first electric VRL race so we do not conflict with the East/West Shootout. Please make note of it.
awesome for me! so now does that mean that your kick off race changes dates also or does it stay on the 11th. Need to know for vacation time. Thanks:thumbsup:

Going to keep the pre-race date the same, April 11.
I'm pulling a bunch of strings to get this show on the road by 3PM. It will soon be revealed whether I have any pull at PG or not.
You'll have an answer soon Nancy, thanks for reminding us early enough to get that information out to everyone.
First, no he has no pull. Second, race #4 of the points series will begin at 3:02pm on March 27. I realize there are a couple people who might be a few minutes late getting there due to work. Please let us know if you might be late and we will get you in the computer so whenever you do get to the track your ready to roll. With three qualifiers, missing round one wont hurt anyone. We should be done at a decent hour by starting early also.
Lawn Dart 03-09-2010, 08:59 AM I just found some sweet rally tires for my tc3. I see a new class coming on for this layout!!!
PUTRA and DINK--- you guys in?
dakotah97 03-09-2010, 09:02 AM 3:02pm sounds good!! LOL
I just wanted to check now as we will be gone at the Cactus Classic 3/16 to 3/22. Thanks

Good luck out there. At least you should have some decent weather while your there. See you when you get back.
Have you ever raced on road? How can you honestly say it's not yer game if you've never done it?
I had an on-road RC10L when they first came out 20+ years ago. I sold it last year. It was over 20 years old and had about 10 runs on it. I just couldn't get into it. I had to much fun with my off-road stuff. As I said, it just wasn't my thing.

I went through 3 packs. Had to get home. I don't want to find all my stuff on the porch one day.
Super D let me drive his 8th scale for a few laps.... oh nice! loved it.
I actually drove it better than my other ones. Hence why I bough the jammin last night. Loved the 4x4.

If your on the April 24 sign up sheet, then your automaticly signed up for April 11. We will use the April 24 sign up list for the 11th also. Raffle tickets go on sale tomorrow! I will have them with me at the track. $10 for 1 ticket $20 for three tickets.
Apl Hed 03-09-2010, 09:54 AM :freak::p is all I have to say.

Real cool guy, meeting him after he gets outta work, 80 bucks, 6 bearings installed, friday I will have it back, so looks like ill be racing the 1/8th scale race. I have a U P trip planned for the first week of april, not sure if I want to go with brand new rebuilt engine, like to get a few miles on before the U P, any snow in Cadilac yet?
HERSHEYSQUIRTS 03-09-2010, 11:08 AM Aple said crank......
Apl Hed 03-09-2010, 11:14 AM Aple said crank......
LMAO, MY CRANK IS BROKE
Okay, everyone ready for a stupid question? Why do we have 43 people who have voted on the classes already, and only 16 people have taken the time to sign up thus far?
ehartman_49348 03-09-2010, 11:46 AM Keep in mind nitro racing lives in the summer, and spring is almost here!! I wouldn't can a summer nitro series because of a poor winter showing.
See ya at the Rising, nitro of course!!
I agree with Scott and I sure hope he is right! I would not use 'The Rising' to make a decision regarding the outdoor season..... If you would cancel the nitro series, I am sure that there will be a lot of people (including me to be honest) upset! Al has scheduled all the tri-county races on the East side just because of the nitro VRL, which means that if nVRL would be dropped, no series anywhere close..... Just my 2 euro cents...
The Chad 03-09-2010, 12:30 PM I shall destroy you.
Ah yes I forgot your name was Chad also...... But I am The Chad! ha this is going to be good...... Ok so I need some serious track time now..... :freak:

Showtime Racing 03-09-2010, 01:17 PM Thanks, this is REALLY helpful for the out of towners (like me!) to get an idea of what to expect!
bbrace3m 03-09-2010, 01:23 PM i agree with showtime. this will help alot
Kerby 03-09-2010, 01:32 PM I liked the 2nd layout with the huge jump, big air.

That's cool! My very first hobby grade R/C was a RC10L with a woods brother Oval chassis. I actually started racing oval when I was 13. Raced for a couple years then had to quit. Started back up with Off road when I was 18. Since then I've ran everything from 12th scale On Road to 8th scale nitro Off Road.. I really just like all forms of R/C racing. Every class has their own challenge's.. I would have to say I'm best at foam tire electric 10th scale sedan though.. Too bad that class is dead!

Waiting for the dates of the races to stop moving around. As of now I'm out for the first race, but if the dates change again, I may be in.

Nothing changing, we were trying to get a jump on the season by moving the one date ahead, but cant do that so it is what it is now.

Yea, I loved stadium truck, we had the best competition between you Champy and myself, and everyone else, those were the days.

Oh yeah! Don't forget about Mr Clean! What the hell is he doing these days anyway?? Those really were the days..
bbrace3m 03-09-2010, 04:13 PM stock out of the box roller with ball diff is $85. I have lunford turnbuckles, 1 degree hubs, MIP CVD's and aluminum bulkhead that I'm willing to part with. I'd sell it as package any offers, including whatever spares I have.
still available?

Huh?? I haven't seen him? Are we talking about the same guy? Tony?
ToddW 03-09-2010, 04:39 PM Yes Tony has been coming to PG. Mostly Wednesday nights.
ToddW 03-09-2010, 04:43 PM Recently Tony, Tom Thomas, Troy and Randy have been playin in the dirt.
ToddW 03-09-2010, 04:44 PM Tony and Troy are part of Toms race team and I believe they have been working on his full scale car.
Okay, everyone ready for a stupid question? Why do we have 43 people who have voted on the classes already, and only 16 people have taken the time to sign up thus far?
Because your not offering all of the classes that you are able to vote on

Really?!?! I've been there every wednesday for the last what.. 5 or 6 weeks.. And I haven't seen him yet.. Hope he shows up again sometime soon!

That was a great album but don't forget about Ride the Lightning
and Justice for all...
Which reminds me of a question. I really liked when you cranked up the music
during our first qualifier... Any chance of getting a "Rock n Roll Race"?
Maybe an idea for the future...

Yes I see a future in musice while racing, not over powering, but there. Got some fuddy duddies I'm working on...
Uncle E 03-09-2010, 07:32 PM On a serious note, any ideas about what needs to be covered in tomorrows drivers meeting? PM me with issue and ideas to solve the issue.
Topic for this thread: Tighter Program.
***I'm leaning toward fuller heats so we have enough marshals and a short program. This will mean you'll need to drive cleaner due to the increased number of racers on the track. So brush up on your ifmar rules.... become more respectful (can't believe I'm the one writing this)
***Live loop starts.
***Checking in is taking too long, going to look into some ideas about improving this.

you are really having a problem with not enough marshals????, last time i was there i marsheled at times i dint need to, i enjoy doing it and know the importance of getting all cars up and going, as i would like done for me when needed! people that like to watch the races, there is no better veiw than being in the middle of the track marshaling!!!! you can count on me E for the rising!!!
Uncle E 03-09-2010, 08:00 PM Well check out this example: 6 racers, 2 are physhically unable to marshal, and 2 are in the following race.....
while not a bad thing, just a reality we can discuss and come up with solutions.

volunteers!!! nobody there likes to help out????
Uncle E 03-09-2010, 08:19 PM volunteers!!! nobody there likes to help out????
Sure they do and that is how we've been getting by, but I'm looking for some out of the box solutions. Yours was a gimme
Because your not offering all of the classes that you are able to vote on
So I guess you get upset when you need to vote for just one person to be the President of the USA?
And thus, thats the reason you vote! The most popular classes we run. Why would we run a class like 4wd when less than 10 people voted on it? If we ran every class we would be there for 14 hours and have a bunch of races with 6 people in them. Thats not what we are about. Fewer classes, better competition, more racers in each heat.
LOSI_Duck 03-09-2010, 08:29 PM Hey Revo, I am thinking of running the kids Slash. What are the rules for tires and motor in the stock class, sorry I'm not thumbing through all these pages to find it. thanks for your time.
