harmocy 12-21-2009, 05:49 PM im sorry look at your body on your truck its not 1/10 scale.
the sc are considerd 1/9 th scale .
so they probably shouldnt let them run 1/8 scale tires or 1/10 scale 2.2 on
the mod class.
I dont think they should run them ether but I also think mod should stick to SC tires.
their shouldn't be a choice.
ya cant run 1/8 scale or sc tires on your mod stadium truck or buggy right!!!
Come on now Blaze we all have 1/8 scale adapters for a reason not that cant be adapted for the stadium trucks but all of the SC trucks have them available!!! I know a bunch of us from up here are planning on running our MOD SC trucks with them on!!! So please from E or Revo a decision on this would be great!!!
Nothing against you Blaze!!!
Kerby 12-21-2009, 05:51 PM Maybe they're physically slow and not being lazy...................hmmmmmmmmmmmm ever think about that?? I would rather someone marshal me slow or within his/her physical capabilities than take a head dive into the dirt. I personally think this thread is more harmful than good at this point. Anybody who reads this will think all of us are a bunch of whiners, I know it's not the way it is but will be perceived that way by any outsiders trying to get info about PG using this thread. Maybe starting a Marshalling forum will help, I'm sick of hearing about it.............I think I speak for many.

No clarification needed, rules are the same as I posted earlier.
SC Stock: ROAR rules apply. Aftermarket parts are allowed to replace the bulkhead, arms and outer hubs. Radio, receiver, servo and speed control may be changed. Motors in this class are to be the stock SC motors, 17.5 brushless or 27 turn brushed. Must use a stock size tire designed specifically for SC's. 1/10th and 1/8th off-road truck tires are not allowed. You must run a 2 cell LiPo pack, 3 and 4 cell packs not allowed.
SC Open: Anything goes, if it runs you can race it. Open to ALL SC makes, models and custom built SC's. Must meat SC specs on dimensions and use a SC chassis.
The Chad 12-21-2009, 06:13 PM Ah OOOOOOOOk I think.hmmmmmm well I will be there with my gasser as soon as I can get all my stuff together. I dont have a thing against Electric cars just for the record. As a mater of fact for many, many years I was on a alternating schedule between the bitter rivals. (Electric in the winter and Nitro in the summer) Might as well get this out now.....
When I do drive my first race I will most likey crash (hard) and take someone with me. Guilty yes I'm claiming it now. After the rust is gone---- I have not been known to be a hack on the track (ever) Besides if I wanted a car out I would have my 10yr old do it. (kidding) After my best baby making efforts and time away I have still managed to stay in good shape and I look forward to being an quick marshal like I was. ( never as good as Champ, He's super man marshal dude, always was.) I dont think I'll be freeking out on the stand, If I didnt do it back then I prolly wont do it now.

Its all good Chad. Its the same way it was back in the day, a few people have problems with everything that goes on. 99% of the people are happy, have fun, and enjoy racing. Just do us a favor, before you crash hard, just yell so we know its coming!

Amen i am with you!!!
Roy Dallier 12-21-2009, 06:30 PM I'm so lost. At what point did I come into this? Last I checked I was asking Q's about tires.
Round ones you bone head.

I've heard you kinda sucked at racing, but could build killer layouts?

Ya ones that can shave a man arm down to the bone Remember that one Chad one bad a## jump
The Chad 12-21-2009, 06:37 PM I've heard you kinda sucked at racing, but could build killer layouts?
I think that falls under a half way there compliment. I'll still take it..
Roy, I see your still calling people boneheads. Thats good.
Uncle E 12-21-2009, 06:38 PM I would rather someone marshal me slow or within his/her physical capabilities than take a head dive into the dirt.
You saw my kid take one to the chin Saturday night?
Talked to a couple guys on the phone today, and we've come up with some ideas and will start to impliment them.
Universal theme about us is that we believe we're more important then the other racers or marshals. This view is shared by both the faster and slower driver! Something to think about at the least.
The Chad 12-21-2009, 06:41 PM Yes as a matter of fact I do remember it Roy. Cars fly out of control over a large jump just like onroad cars fly out of control jumping a fire hose track devider and hit someone. (Wasnt it a women?)

Come on out, I'll hold your hand the first time. Kinda show you the ropes if you will, you have nothing to be nervous about. Revo explained everything to me and you have nothing to be ashamed about.

Crap there we go again! I get myself in enough trouble, like I need the extra hand.....
I got the points all figured out, I will post them up tonight. I will let you know when they are available to view. Remember, the points as of now will reflect your best night out of the two points series races thus far. After race three, it will reflect your best two nights, and so on and so on.

Happy to hear you have my best interest at heart.

I think it is funny the guy you've talked smack about for 2 years is back!

Not sure who you are but is it possible you were one of the many that would consistantly get lapped by me? Just trying to figure this out. Hmmmm

If Uncle E had raced back then, yes he would have been LAPS down. He has only been at this about 18 - 24 months.
scrmngchkn 12-21-2009, 07:18 PM leave the 1/8th scales at home!

You just worry about getting your gimp ass out of the recliner Paulie.
How are you doing bud?

Well this should be great then! He's about as new as my vacaton time away..
scrmngchkn 12-21-2009, 07:27 PM AMEN! The Doctors asked me if I gave up motocross last time. Told them I was hit by a novice 1/8th scale driver!

Until then, Dakotah Phend will have to uphold the Losi name.
BrentV 12-21-2009, 07:43 PM Yeah it's me calling the electric flashlights..................I don't have anything against them hense the "I'm converting one of my 1:8 scales to E". In part it is said because most electric guys can't take kidding around.
Also as for who is who has the "Mad driving skills", let's let the track decide.....I for one haven't had the time to race as much as I would like however track time = fast time.
BrentV 12-21-2009, 07:48 PM OK here is a question for the electric guys that may have had this happen to them. I have a Lipo that has fallen into the "Low Voltage" area and I know the battery isn't toast I just need to bring the voltage up so I can get the charger to not freak out. I believe it was posted on here at one point or another. I run a pair of 2S's in my starter box and one kinda freaked for some reason.
Any insight will be much appreciated
Thanks Brent
"I'm converting one of my 1:8 scales to E".
You will like it, I enjoy mine and I know Dudda likes his. Fun, but different than nitro......I do miss the sound of nitro and the smell.
In part it is said because most electric guys can't take kidding around.
Sometimes yep. This time it was a nitro guy though, so your not all perfect either!
Mike Champ 12-21-2009, 08:12 PM Creating a special thread could be a good idea... We are making progress..
Have you notice how none of the guys that know they are doing what they are supposed to when they marshal don't get involved in this discussion about marshalling... Interesting...
Why are people getting defensive about the subject? Trying to prove there is no guilt says it all...
Why nobody can say "right, it's an area where we should try to improve to make our time at the track even more enjoyable"?
Anyway again, I'm not whinning... But hearing all the excuses why a marshal is never guilty is asking for more comments...
My suggestion is to work on the source of any issues with marshalling or driving hacks... Thats all... Just my 2cts...
Later...

Try to charge it as a 1s until it brings the voltage back up enough to charge it as a 2s...
Or just use the one that still work in a 10th scale... LOL

I just charge it at 200mah until the voltage is up. Maybe not use balancer?

Turn off lipo mode (like a NiMh profile) and charge at .5 amps until it comes up into the normal range.

I'm the new virgin on the old scene, you are .....
The Chad 12-21-2009, 08:22 PM just rebuild it with a new piston, sleeve and conrod. OOOH wait thats Nitro, My bad.
Okay, I am going to be closing a few threads and opening a few others in their place. I am not deleting anything so it wont change your # of Posts (I would hear about that if I did I'm sure). Just trying to tidy up a bit I guess!
T-shirts are out to get silk screened! I will have them by the end of next week, Holidays are causing a little delay.
I am going to be closing this thread now. Cant wait until the 2010 Virus Racing Northern Nationals! We have some big shoes to fill to compete with how great of an event this was this year. Thanks to all who attended! See you next year.
Closing this thread and creating a new nitro thread.

Maybe there getting defensive because your calling them Hacks and lazy a$$ marshal I don't think your being to helpful in fixxing the problem use those names maybe i little easyer on the name will get your point across.
Anything new from the Slaughter camp on this stuff yet Mike?
All things for the 2009 indoor electric racing season. Game on!
HandyRacing 12-21-2009, 08:37 PM Anything new from the Slaughter camp on this stuff yet Mike?
Maybe we can set something up for an upcoming SCT Open race, lots of room under the hood... Run the "HandyCam" at the same time, data-in-picture video approach ...
(I would need Chris Peterson's help, he's the editing wiz)
kickyfast 12-21-2009, 08:40 PM Anything new from the Slaughter camp on this stuff yet Mike?
Soon.... Just got some neat new toys, but unfortunately I leave to go to Florida Wednesday..... And just finished school last Thursday..... And darn it I have to hit these tracks.....
And race on this sweet track.... (http://www.csrccc.com/) And this track..... (http://www.villageraceway.com/) And this track...... (www.sfspeedway.com) And this one too.... (http://www.superiorhobbies.com/racing.html)
Its tough sometimes...
But seriously, I have two of new carbon molecular packs, reedy packs, and thunderpower that will be coming up soon, I promise. I also have a couple of runs in 17.5 buggy in the telemetry unit...... And brushless dyno to get going....
Mike
All things for the 2009 Indoor Nitro's. Let the nitro burn!
HandyRacing 12-21-2009, 08:44 PM It would be interesting to see the data when a Mamba Pro kicks into overdrive (cheat) mode as the power is applied...
Sounds like a tough job! I am heading down in February, so anyplace you like, or dont get to let me know I am more than happy to lend a hand.
The Chad 12-21-2009, 08:48 PM I love it already!
Just a heads up, I "might" be getting a new B4 and T4 before Columbus. If I do both of my B4 and T4 will be up for grabs as rollers, with brand new unpainted bodies and a few sets of tires for $100 each. Think of this as the appetizer before dinner, its just to get you interested at first. I will post pics and let you know for sure whats going on in the next week or so.
Think Uncle E is a jerk? Think you got screwed by a marshal? Think that Losi sucks (it does)! Talk about it here. Don't expect to see many nice things in here, lets be real. Be constructive but feel free to get it off your chest. Keep the BS off the other threads, it belongs in here now.
I WILL delete any post that gets out of line to far. If anyone knows me, that is going to take quite a bit to do, but I am sure it will happen at some point. Let the banter begin.
