420 Tech R/C 12-18-2009, 10:18 AM LOL, Kyle getting lapped.... Yea, when monkey's fly out of my butt.
x2!! the only person that was close to him on sat. was fred B. The both of them lapped 3rd place in the main, and that was Dakotah.
Newp Nolan didnt tell me Losi was the best think he knew better. Even if he did the message would fall on deff ears. So I'm still not sure what tires to use at the PG. How often do they change the layout and soften the track up and how long before its burned in and dark? Has anyone tried the Pather slicks on the track when it has been burned in real good? How about heated slicks with a rubber compound? are cut 10th scale tires mounted on 1/8th scale rims legal there?
New layout every 6 weeks. We have 3 - 4 weeks before the next change.
Lawn Dart 12-18-2009, 11:56 AM Kyle getting lapped hahahaha. If we were 10 riding bicycles I would throw a stick in his spokes to try and even things out. Dude is so smooth.
Kerby 12-18-2009, 12:05 PM I was thinking about loosening his wheels, but he'd probably beat me with 3 wheels anyway...........

The Chad 12-18-2009, 03:47 PM Hmmmmm if someone is smooth at driving dosnt that end up to being fast at the end? I know that captain morgan is smooth so it makes me wanna drink it fast... Ya see they go together... Anyways I think I classify as a rookie now... so I'm going with a basic yellow lemon color just like I started off with a very long time ago .. Remember that Warnout? Rookie? yeah right! HA

Oh, and as far as marshaling goes, when someone crashes in front of you, you should throw your head back and let out a big laugh. Wait that was a part in a movie. Just an idea.

I prefer to "relieve" myself on the car and then kick it over hopefully landing on it's wheels 'cuz I ain't touching it.....

Find post #3760 by me and there are pictures of the current layout. The table top on the front straight is 5 foot tall, the triple is about 4 foot tall, just to give you some perspective. The pictures do not do the track any justice.
Tomorrow morning guys, round #2 of the nitro points series followed by the electric points series race. Electric starts at 6PM so there is no confusion. I have a family Christmas party at 3PM, so I will either be late or MIA....to early to tell. Got to see how late the party goes.
Roy Dallier 12-18-2009, 06:47 PM It is pretty simple actually... and I am going to try to use simple exemples (and some of you might think they are stupid exemples, but just think about it for a sec...) so hopefully everybody will understand my point to have fun on a racing night...
For driver : drive with respect. Maybe drive like you would be driving if you had top of the world drivers in your heat and you wouldn't want to be the one that screws the race between the top 3 by hacking them in the corner... If somebody is faster, let him go by opening a line for him to pass and don't crash him in the next corner...
For marshalling : marshall the way you would marshall at the worlds (actually a better way to describe the right way to marshall than "marshall the way you want to be marshalled, because some of us just don't give a crap). No need for world records to be broken to be a good marshall. Just do your job... Pay attention, watch your corner and try to help the best you can... Again, think about it as you wouldn't want to be the one marshalling the A main at the worlds that is watching the race on the track while the leader is stuck in the tube in your corner for 15sec and losing the lead because of you...
Just apply those simple rules to everyday racing, and it will make EVERY SINGLE DAY of racing ENJOYABLE for EVERYBODY...
P.S. : I think Fred B. had some good words to describe my point too...
P.S.2 : the exemple of the worlds is to make everybody understand my point... I am not saying every club racing day is the same as the worlds... But this kind of attitude can be applied every day, to race with respect...
Thanks Mike for the your insight.
Just one ? When you saying in P.S.2 exemple marshall like you would at the worlds ? Know it's a club race Are you saying marshall like it's club or are they the same ?
Kerby 12-18-2009, 09:05 PM Just looking at my schedule, New Year's Bash on the 9th, followed by Columbus then topping it off with Bragging Rights. 3 big races in a row, how lucky am I. Damn life is good!!
Yes sir, should be some good racing coming up!
smitymike11 12-18-2009, 09:56 PM I have a Losi sensorless system out of a speed-t in my truck. I have tried a Trinity duo 13.5 sensored and now a lrp x11 13.5 also sensored and both of them do the same thing. Right now I have the lrp in my truck and it works just fine untill I stop the truck from moving. When I do that it will free rev and the rotor will not turn. If I put the truck in rev it goes just fine and the it will go forward just fine untill I stop again. Also if I keep trying to go forward it will go after a few tries. Is this because I am trying to run a sensored motor sensorless? When I run the losi sensorless motor that came with the esc everything is just fine. I don't want to buy another motor and have the same thing happen. Any help would be great. Also does anyone know what the sensorless equal to a 13.5 is? I will be there tomorrow night, I will at least run my Blitz for the first time if I cannot figure this out.
Also what kind of turn out do you guys get for mod truck?
Also what kind of turn out do you guys get for mod truck?
Mod truck has at least one heat of 8 - 10 for our big races and the points series. For club racing we run 13.5 not mod. Club races is always 14 or more trucks.

munsonator08 12-19-2009, 12:18 AM just dont show up hammered, and we'll be all good. lol..... i'll be there around 3ish. cant wait to race!
bustedparts 12-19-2009, 09:01 AM Very nice . I will be down soon to do some racing. Also it there a SC class running there ? Are they running stock or mod?
if i run my slash on saturday morning for $28 can i run any class on saturday night for free?
If I show up hammered we might all be better. Never tried to race with a buzz though, but I bet that might not be a good idea.

I believe the deal was, if you run 1 class in the morning you can run 1 class in the evening, so I dont think it matters what class it is at night. I dont think Uncle E will mind that.
Nope whatever class you'd like. Would be nice if guys race SC in am and didn't overwhelm the evening with all SC's. ie in Munson would like a piece of you in truck

Good size SC class of Stock SC running already. We have an SC only event coming up Jan. 23 called Bragging rights. For more info:

Electric points series race starts at 6:00PM. Nitro I am guessing will be done well before that, so you can most likely show up a few hours early for practice if you wanted to.

That is just an SC10 with 2.2 wheels on it!!! What kinda crap are they pulling just more entry level crap in my opinion!!! They are going more and more away from racers every day but I guess that is because there is alot more of them than us and to be honest I can have a T4 kit sit on my shelf for a long time but a RTR T4 I cannot keep in stock and that is not because I dont try I explain the plus plus pluses of buying the kit but most are afraid to build it when they are just getting into this but I wish it was like back in the day where you had 2 choices kit or kit!!!

I think a lot of people go with the rtr because it saves them money. If someone is just starting out and looks at a kit, no matter how much better it is, and then they look at a rtr and they are the same price it makes them go with the rtr.
The Chad 12-19-2009, 12:42 PM Stopped by the PG this morning to see whats its like and I am very impressed with what I saw. I know I have been out of the loop for awhile but I do know a nice place when I see one and that was nice. I saw a few faces I have not seen in a long time and it was good to see them. Was not alot of gas cars there today. Man being at a place like that again sure can get the blood pumpin fast. I think I'm going to have to work a little faster to get my stuff together and go racing.

Might want to offer your clients an "assembly service" for a nominal fee of course. Buy the kit and you assemble it for them for an additional $25 or something?

Glad to hear you have the bug again. Nitro entries have been low for a while now. 20 - 40 entries is a typical day. Most of the time on the lower end of that. Better off now days to convert them to electric at least that way you know that you can race anytime you want to. As for the facility, yes it has to be in the tops for the nation, makes us all happy to have it right here in our own backyard.
The Chad 12-19-2009, 01:44 PM Oh yes I have been bit again. I will say I'll have to get something electric so I can race with the masses but most likely not till next winter.. I'm starting kinda at wierd time I think .As long as I get to run my Nitro 1/8th indoors and get some good track time being practice or events I'll be happy since its going to help me out alot coming this spring.
scramblerman 12-19-2009, 04:02 PM r the novice guys running for points???????
scrmngchkn 12-19-2009, 06:44 PM Can't we just race? I get a headache driver b wants to be in the a. You know what, drive better qauilis. Quit crying Iwas faster, bu was taken out by a slower driver. It all has to do with the nut behind the wheel!
P.s. who said morfein and valium don't mix! I'm on a 3 mos. hiatus!

I like the name change. Now I have to work on Gilbert to get one again:thumbsup:
Sounds like a nice turnout tonight for round #2 of the points series. 7 heats, tons of 2wd buggies and trucks. Couple classes of SC and 1/8 electric. I just got home from my xmas party, so no I did not make it down there tonight. I might stop out tomorrow and pick up the race results so I can calculate the points standings for everyone.
