Toby, thanks for breaking your butt on the track and making that drain. You Brits are pretty smart.:):wave:

I was kind of hoping that stupid bear was gone. At least I'm assuming it's the same one:( +1 Thanks for the hard work Toby

I forgot to mention. Where the drain exit is, I moved the pipes out a little so the exit is inside the island, rather than exiting onto the track - so people don't drive their cars into the pipe and break stuff.

You can see below, on the right. It just means a little less room going into that Right turn (before tabletop) but I don't think its a big problem.

JT, if you get a chance, it needs a few nails driving thru the extension Pipe I added.

Some people might call my position an engineer - I think its more of a glorified monkey in nice clothing, personally.

Toby, I swept about half the water off of the sweeping turn, tamped the jumps but i couldn't find any steaks in the trailer and didn't wanna use re bar. I figure were not racing for two more weeks and by then we can find steaks.

Do you guys do any track work on the off weekends ? Me and my son want to help, but since were an hour away, the weekends are the only time we can get up there. Last sunday was our first time racing and had a great time. Thanks a lot for having a great place to race.

Usually whomever is going posts on this board when they are going up on the weekend to work. Mostly, we do track prep for race day the day before.

If I plan on going I will be sure to post.

JT, Thanks so much for working on the track and tampering those jumps. How'd they look ?

Yeah, we can pick up some stake's between now and then. There is a few pipe sections that could use a little securing also.

Thanks for clearing the water of the sweeper. I would estimate if tomorrow is another hot one, by the pm the track should be drivable.

Well, for starters I didn't even come close to the work you did from today. Looking at the pictures and seeing it this afternoon was amazing how much you did. The whoop section looks good although I think its gonna need another tampering to get it to settle. My only concern there is the third jump on the left side looks slightly lower then the landing on the fourth. The third jump is the one where the drainage pipe runs underneath and because the clay was so soft it packed down a lot more then the rest did. I think if someone goes up in the morning and sweeps the rest of the water in that turn it should dry out by the end of the day. Once again I wasn't too concerned because race day isn't for awhile and there's no pressure to have the track in race ready condition.

Yeah, the dirt was real wet where I drained the puddle at the top. Probably after a day or two of settling, 1 more barrow of Dirt on it will level it out with the others.

Yup, did you jump that whoops section today? I saw tire tracks and was wondering if its possible to rythmn that section. As far as seeing the tire tracks go I felt like an Indian tracker and put my ear down to the ground...1/8 buggy?

close  4x4 Slash with Goosebumps :)

Just ran it back and forth across the whoops, after I finished. (Didn't want to get the car anywhere else on the track and get it all jacked up with Dirt (again)...

It ran thru there pretty nice. But will likely change with use and weather as it did before.

When you say rhythm, you mean apply a little blip of the throttle at each jump ?

Yeah, you can if get lined up right. At a minimum, double the first two, single the rest.

I had T-bone tonight. JT, I spent about 45 minutes with Alvin and Paul cleaning and organizing the container Sunday before we started. Any stakes /rebar we found were put on the bottom or next to the bottom shelf on the back end of the shelf. I know I saw at least 2 stakes, and there were several pieces of re-bar too.
