Policing has always been the issue at DR. If you have to cheat or go out of the rules to win then why race at all. This is very simple at the rules meeting we vote yes or no. If yes great. If no then don't so it. If you are caught using it (Not very hard to figure out if you have 8th scale tires on the SC truck as they will stick out like a soar thumb in the first place) then you get disqualified. Simple.
And if we really want to police it I have no issues volunteering to Police this class ONLY.

A reason I would have if I were to run 4WD or 2WD mod is sharing tires with another vehicle.

That is instead of having to go to a whole new rim and tire size and trying out different combos, only to be stuck with an assortment of tires that will then never be used because they don't work best on the SCT and don' fit anything else. I could try out my existing 1/8th tires and see what worked first and then only have to buy the kind that would fit on the nice looking Pro-5 wheels.

No one is suggesting you have to make your cars look bad to you just because they want to use different tires. At least I'm not.

We will be having it at Zeppelin Hobbies & Raceway 1530 Route 23 North Wayne,N.J.07470 973-872-0400. To have the meeting on a race night, in the past, has delayed the race for the novice racers to get home at a decent hour. Charlie The first outdoor race will be April 25,2010. I will be finishing the complete schedule shortly.

Tobey - Thanks for the tip on the Late Model racing. Watching it when I got home last night. Gotta love the DVR. Good racing. The first race was unreal. All that rubber on the track. It looked like the track was asphalt. Not a spec of dust. Thats a rarity for dirt tracks. Dano............did you catch it? I know they were taped from the 2009 season, but nothing like a good dirt race.

Nice. Speaking of the 2010 season, I would imagine the work days would be the few weekends/Saturdays before opening day? Can anyone get their hands on some donated plywood and stakes? The oval's outside wall needs some desperate repairs for this coming season. I must have nailed the same few pieces of wall back into place a few times last year. The wood is rotted.

Oh I forgot the sound system. The speaker system wiring needs to be replaced. Might be most of the problem we are having with it? Laste year Wayne brought 2 speakers for us to use. Randy and I connected them. The wire insulation is rotted and broken off in places. Get the two conductors to touch at these breaks and the speakers wont work properly. I would imagine the resistance is high on these wires too because of the breaks, age, and most likely corrosion.

Absolutely. Painted will last much longer. Keeps the moisutre out.

Yes I do . Last time I replaced plywood I had the lumberyard rip the plywood down to 12" their saw is better suited for sheet goods . I will see how much we need have it ripped and painted before work day . Then we can paint the rest in place . :cool:

I completely agree. Since we are breaking the whole layout down, we have a lot of planning to do. New layout, Drainage and what to do with the outer wall.

I hope we can get a good turn out on work days. Manpower is the only way we can get it done.:thumbsup:

Derek and I have an old Rack System amplifier that we can use to make the speaker system power larger speakers and ones that are further away. We will need to come up with a large spool of good wire to replace what is there. With the better amplifier we can probably get away with using whatever speakers are there that actually work. If not I had found a good priced online store for outdoor horn type speakers.

Speaker wire is reasonable at Firefold.com. They are about the cheapest I have found for any kind of audio/video need.

If I remember correctly, we also need some plywood repairs to the driver's stand floor.

While we're at it we might also consider rebuilding/repairing the staging area.

drive line is measured where you drive about 5' off the bottom .

that means we need 15 4x8 sheets rite Really dont think it all has to be replaced . It costs about 13.50 a sheet I know Charlie will approve the cost of plywood and paint . We should also look into the purchase of a finish drag mat like Brian let us use last year .
