Which Associated are you referring to? You have more cars than a hobby shop. Ive lost track of what you have and what you sold.

Good question my man. Let's just say, All of them :)

Late Model specifically. Trying to get in on the ofna/losi smack talk :)

If you had a sprint car it would be Custom Works/Hyperdrive/Dynotech/Losi smack talk. Sorry, but unless someone buys my Challenge winning Cobra, no smack talk about that.

Theres no smack talk in the sprint class, only embarrassment. Anyone with a big dollar car that finishes behind a $199 RTR car...........................well you get the picture.

I suggest you sell that $199 toy now so you might at least stay on the lead lap. :)

I hate having to pass all the LOSI lap traffic. Those Havocs and Deltas get in the way to. It just holds things up

No way. I can turn 30 laps with it. Though it was only once. Fixed the problem that was plauging me all last year. Ill have to tell you (at the track) what was driving me crazy with this car all of last year. Youre gonna bust out laughing.

Ouch, thats going to make finishing behind a LOSI even worse. A toy finishing ahead of a big buck, Tony Stewart owned Custom Works, precision built, Championship caliber, sprint car. Im going to cut a piece of plywood about 2x2, paint it up white and stencil Wall of Shame on it. Then the names and dates of all the big buck cars that finish behind a toy will be written on the wall of shame. Oh dont forget its not me against the the rest. Its manufacturer vs manufacturer. Oh and by the way, Randy can wheel the Slider pretty good. Think he came in second in points last year. Thats a lot of big buck cars that finished behind a toy. Hope that doesnt put too much pressure on you?

No pressure, you can win the points and never win a race. Don't hang your hat there:)

I would be embarrassed if I knew you were actually running the $199 RTR car. The amount of money of the original car + the cost in upgrades to make it competitive, is probably less than I have in my dynotech. nanana poo poo instead of LOL so Toby doesn't get me):p

Adam - Did you have a delivery today?

My fantastic wife, left the house for an hour and a half and guess when UPS came....

Anyways, I have it waiting for me at the Mt. Olive distribution center so I can pick it up after work. I most likely won't have it ready for Sunday, but we will see, crazier things have happened.

During Indoor season, I took delivery of my 10R5Oval Friday lunchtime, and built it, and painted the body and ran it Saturday...You've got a couple of evenings and all day Saturday. No worries

It would seem that way, BUT...

I will not be able to pick up the package which is 45 minutes away until after work, and...

Wednesday was my anniversary, my wife was working, so we are celebrating Saturday. Anything that takes away for that will be extremely detrimental to my future RC racing career. If you don't believe my I challenge you to build an RC car on YOUR anniversary LOL...

No, please LOL away. I'm giving up my Internet mum role....

I'm too busy getting my cars ready ... Did something pretty foolish to one of my electric cars and I need to see if I can bring it back to life ... :freak:

I never said anything about winning points or winning a race. To be honset with you, this year its going to take a lot of luck to finish well. Gonna be a lot more cars on the track. Missing the wrecks and tangles is going to be required just as much as having a fast car and good set up. Its amazing how 2 or 3 open wheeled cars together make the racing lane feel sooooooooo small. So its not going to be a cake walk for anyone. I can tell you right now I will not win points, or even finish in the top 5. I have a few weekend things planned and a vacation as well. Ill miss at least 3 races.

Actually I paid $189 for it plus $115 for the brushless system. Low end sport 8.5 brushless sytem to add to the pain of finishing behind a toy. About $8 to convert the front end so I could use buggy tires, and the tires I already had for my XXX CR. So Im in it for about $315. Not to shabby. And you guys have invested????????????? Oh and my steering doesnt break if I tap the wall or another car which I have done many times. Ill follow suit.........nanana poo poo.

Randy tied for third behind me and Brian.

Details details. So a toy tied for 3rd with a CW, and finished ahead of 2 other CW's. Not too bad for a first timer in the class. Wish I could drive good enough to finish 3rd.

I bought a LOSI buggy from Brian last year. He gave it to me on race day. I sunk my Rx and steering servo in it, programmed it, and a short time later was racing it. Finished 4th in the A Main.

Did a Losi win a sprinter race last year ?

I should have won if my transponder didnt miss counting 3 laps. I also finished second to Stingray, when he was running an illegal truck tire on the outside rear. Was leading the race with less than a minute left. I dont think Randy got a win? Maybe a few top 3's. So no LOSI wins last year. We will break that this year though. I fixed a serious speed/handling issue with mine that will make a world of difference this year. No joke.

A few times I was doing well until the trans went in my toy car! You get what you pay for. I went the cheap route to see if I liked the class. As it turns out I can't get enough, so I did go out and buy a CW car to work on this year. I hope to have it done to at least run a few laps.

So I can't say anything about any car since I own both. LOL

I did rebuild my Losi ball diff so I hope that helps in the turns. Finding out my ball diff was way to tight and it was acting like a lock diff so I hope I can stay on the gas in the turns.

Thats what you get for putting in a huge motor with a plastic idler gear. Have you had any problems since you replaced it with the aluminum? Mine is just fine running an 8.5. So Randy is going to the dark side huh? OK Randy, you are now a wall of shame candidate.

I paid $111 more for my car then you did , and $15 dollars more for my brushless system then you did for a total $126 more then you paid for your setup . We will see by the end of season if it was worth $126 more . With Mark now running the sister car of my Hyperdrive I think you will see more Hyper wins then Losi wins . Let alone the CW and Dynotech boys I think by the end of the year you will looking at upgrading to something else . Your Losi partner in crime Randy has already jumped ship .:cool:

The Slider can get the job done, dont know about the driver? Sprint class is my filler class. Im concentrating on SC. If I do well, cool, if not, oh well. Just like last year, I didnt do well, but had lots of fun. I guarantee, I will be alot faster this year. Picture having only 25% movement of your outside right rear suspension. And.......imagine driving with that same tire braking about 3 to 4 times in each corner and sometime on the straights. Thats what was happening to me. No wonder the thing was loosey goosey and slower than most down the straights. Not any more. Problem solved.

Thats not bad Dano!! I probably would have gone with something more expensive, but I didnt want to dive into a class with a lot invested and find out later I didnt care for it. Just like I did with 1/8th scale buggy. I bought an inexpensive RTR Kyosho Inferno. Ran nitro for 2 years, then electric last year. Turns out after 3 years I found out it wasnt for me. Good thing I didnt buy the MP9, I was seriously considering it.
