View Full Version : Dirt Runners 2010 Outdoor Racing Season - Oak Ridge, NJ
Jerzferno 04-15-2010, 06:09 PM Charlie - I was wondering. A few pages ago you said you were getting 27 tons of new dirt. Since the track is all layed out and all that needs to be added are the jumps, are you still getting that much? Or is the whole layout going to get a new coat as well?
jetcam2 04-15-2010, 06:12 PM I thought 4x4 sc mod you could run any tire, is this correct??

Any tire specifically made for short course trucks. No 1/8th scale tires.
radsnappy 04-15-2010, 07:13 PM At least Nick read my post and understood my dilemma.
gottcha , i think it would be just as easy for nick to reimburse us and all members get funds to him , was just looking to gat a total so we have a dollar amount per donator , i think we are up to 12 with steve jumping in now so we will probably be around 45.00 each member:thumbsup:

Steve,
Buying any less than 1 truck load just isn't worth it, they are going to deliver it in the same truck regardless, we would be paying much more per yard if we decrease the quantity, besides, it usually lasts us close to 2 seasons, so it won't got to waste.

Sounds good Nick. Was just curious.

Ray - Did you see where I posted earlier that I wont be at the track until the second race. So whoever I would own the contribution to, they would have to wait until then. Or split it among the 11 and Ill throw that same amount into the tractor/quad donation jar if whoever is due the money doesnt want to wait? Your call.
BuzzBomber 04-16-2010, 09:32 AM Sunday is still a scheduled work day, right? I'm not going to be able to get to the track tomorrow - have to attend a family function down in Jackson, and it starts earlier than I thought:cry:.
tobamiester 04-16-2010, 09:48 AM Bob, you make it back? Or you stuck in
The volcanic dust misery (if u don't respond I'll assume u are :( )

Your wording of this made me chuckle, not a Bob's possible misery, but that we assume hes stuck if he doesn't reply. :p

Steve, I think Ray will accept paypals for your contribution (providing its a 'gift' payment thus avoiding fees.)

Jerzferno 04-16-2010, 12:10 PM I know its a tough one...
You got that right. For some reason though I chose to be able to walk? Call me crazy.
Tug Speedman 04-16-2010, 12:10 PM Lets see...walk or race toys? Hmmm. LOL
that's an easy one. Race toys don't forget there's a handicap ramp at the track and you get a really cool handicap tag to hang from the mirror of your car and close parking, medically disability and other stuff.

JT....... you going to wheel me up the ramp? Medical disability? Not after Obamanomics kicks in.

Jerzferno 04-16-2010, 12:16 PM Chris is in the house. Whats up Chris? Any interesting electric projects going to show up this year?
Jerzferno 04-16-2010, 12:19 PM Anyone have a look at their 2wd Slash shocks recently? I havent done a thing to them for 2 years. Took the rears apart and found one bladder had a hole in it, and the other bladder was torn loose and floating in the shock body. All repaired now.

Im trying to figure out if its the wheeling me up the ramp, or the Obamanomics comment, or both? LOL

The volcanic dust misery (if u don't respond I'll assume u are :( )
I'm back! But the second wave of Audi folks I guess are gonna be stuck.
If I can catch up with things (including sleep) I'm going to try and make the track tomorrow. Looks like mother nature might be up to her old tricks though.
Is there a $ amount on the donations yet? I'm way behind reading the board and having trouble catching up:freak:

Lap Traffic 04-16-2010, 03:09 PM Did ya have fun over there breaking speed limits?
Cracked a little over 100 mph (I do that in my commute everyday). Being out side of Munich there is too much traffic. But it sure was fun!
Oh, the only person I saw with a Mustang they arrested and impounded the car:lol:

Tug Speedman 04-16-2010, 05:40 PM Oh, the only person I saw with a Mustang they aressted and impounded the car
The reason they arrested the guy in the Mustang because he was to cool for the streets with a car like that.
I'm assuming it was a V8 cuz a V6 can't break a speed limit to begin with..
solographix 04-16-2010, 06:12 PM Paint Acquired, see everyone tomorrow.
Wayne Miele 04-16-2010, 06:28 PM I took a ride down to the track last night after JT told me about it. The new layout looks awesome. I really like it. It looks like it will flow really nice. Great job by all who helped out and were there to figure out the layout. Once again thanks to all.

Actually i don't think they know what a Mustang is. There are certainly many strange fords however.
Track time 10:00 no rain?

A7 Interesting. RS5 darnit is it coming to the states. :)
A8 not sure about the front fascia. From the pics they look out of proportion but that would be highly unusual for Audi. They don't usually make mistakes like that is their styling queues.
Arct1k 04-16-2010, 11:03 PM Anyone else had problems with the centre diff in the Slash 4X4? Mine doesn;t seem to run true and causes the drivetrain to bind - No such issues with the slipper so I chucked it back in... Cheers

Someone on Traxxas.com reported that their center diff wobbled too. But the interesting thing was, the original one that came with their PE was fine. They didn't get the wobble until they got a replacement (from Taxxas) for the original when the overheated, siezed bearing melted the original center diff.
