So it more of a cover your arse type thing. Well we can add that with the other sign we posted up. :)
Jerzferno 03-30-2010, 03:22 PM Membership cards would certainly identify club members. No ticky, no shirty.
Ditto on that Bob.
Lap Traffic 03-30-2010, 03:26 PM Well I’m not a board member and I don’t know what the conversation was with the park commission, but do they have any intentions of enforcing this?
I realize any Dirt Runners member is allowed to use the facility, but how do you prove you are a member when the county cop or park ranger asks you? I don’t think your cute little RC car will be proof enough. I would hate to have a member drive a considerable distance to practice only to be escorted out.
I certainly don’t want to make a mountain out of a mole hill but…
Just my .02

All good points Bob. I agree with you. Im hoping there hasnt been problems in the park that have sparked this? Would hate to lose what we have. I drive just about an hour. That would really stink if I get there set up and have a ranger ask me if Im a member, then tells me to leave. And if there are non-members causing problems, I would sure like the rangers to pin it on non-Dirt Runners members than the club. Could this be an insurance thing? Is the Park released from liability from the club should someone get hurt?
dano628 03-30-2010, 04:07 PM Getting ready to leave for Va. again should be leaving about 6:00 tonight . Hope to see all you guys at the first workday .

I don't think there has been any problems . The new guy is a lot more gung ho then the last one . We have to file reports as to how we used the land and what improvements we make . They are also going to make us pay for the rent-a-john (the county used to pick it up ) . Don't make more out of it then it is . If we need some kind of card we could make some up and print them out from a PC :cool:

Got a practice body for the LM so won't beat on that nice body Adam did for me as I figure out how to drive that thang...

Don't ever think you're actually driving that Late Model. You're just hanging on for the ride;) You're gonna love it.
Bad news is there is no saving any body:cry: That track gets real small in a hurry.

I hear ya.
Made some decisions last night about what to do with my indoor gear and whats likely to run at Xtreme thru the spring/summer. Moved a Tekin over to a buggy, and thus free'd up a speedo for the Slash 4x4. Brown will be coming soon with the motor.
Weather is looking nice from tomorrow onwards.Hoping 4 days of sun will dry the track out enough to get some playtime this weekend.

NOW GET TO WORK!
Tug Speedman 03-31-2010, 11:52 AM NOW GET TO WORK!
I took my pt and rec out of my slash and she's back in the box. Let me tell ya ain't nothing ready for outdoors....except for the zx-5. Slayer still needs to be finished and the late model too. If you son didn't tell ya I bought a complete IRS system out of an '03 cobra and that will be on my list first hopefully. Perhaps I should hire ya to get my stuff ready, oh wait that could be a bad idea. jkjk

Slayer?
Jerzferno 03-31-2010, 12:09 PM With all this talk about getting things ready.......Im just about finished with all my rides. The sprint car is completely re-done. I found a MAJOR problem that has plagued me all season long with the exception of the frist race. It been repaired and will make a huge improvement in handling and speed. 1/10th scale buggy, E/8 (limited race time) and Slash 4x4 are all ready too. You might be saying Slash 4x4? Its brand new. I made a lot of chassis adjustments, changes, and a new lid. Im ready for out doors. Cant wait.
Jerzferno 03-31-2010, 12:11 PM Adam - Can you ask Derek to get a weight on his OFNA SC truck? Theres a big debate about it on another thread. Everyone is stating their opinion about it, but none of them own it. LOL

Tobey - What are you going to use to power your Slash 4x4?

Do they really deserve more than that on any given day?
BuzzBomber 03-31-2010, 02:38 PM It's official, I'm am now out of E-8 and into 4wd Mod S.C. I picked up a "Jerry Whelchel edition" Slash 4x4 RTR. Now I just need to figure out what tires are going to be the best on our track and get my hands on a center diff. Also need to get some new tires for the 1/10 4wd buggy......the rock hard Tamiya kit tires are not exactly the best thing on loose dry dirt.
Jerzferno 03-31-2010, 02:38 PM Yup that's right!
Nitro or electric? I can guess what class you are planning on running in if its electric.

An insider told me J Concepts will be releasing new SC tires in April. I have J Concepts Goose Bumps which rocked on the track 2 Sundays ago. They will have more to offer in the coming weeks. Im waiting on their new releases.

Good to know. I was thinking about the Caliber SC, but I'll hold off for now. Are you running a PE or standard Slash, can't remember?

Yeah Caliber's or Goosebumps seem to be the flavor of the day for the Slash4x4.

BuzzBomber 04-01-2010, 10:01 AM Taking my daughter to an easter egg hunt on saturday morning and going over to sis-in-law's house on sunday for the family thing, so I'm hoping I can find time for the track somewhere in there. I'm banking on saturday afternoon. Need to see what kind of shape the 4wd buggy is in and get a feel for what the Slash 4x4 is going to be like. Haven't even had a chance to drive it yet, just a lap around the basement to make sure it worked. Hope to see some of you there.
