View Full Version : Dirt Runners 2010 Outdoor Racing Season - Oak Ridge, NJ
BuzzBomber 02-27-2010, 11:04 AM Yeah, I spent some time during the past two snow days playing r/c cars with my 2.5 yo daughter, too. I picked up a couple of those "terrain titan" micro tamiyas when they were on sale for $10, and she loves driving hers around the kitchen, into and under everything!
Lap Traffic 02-27-2010, 11:44 AM :woohoo: My outdoor sprint just arrived. From the Bank of Mom!:woohoo:

Nice! Just venturing down the cave myself later. Sold my 10th Scale Oval car last night, to free up some funds for outdoor. Promptly spent some of it on few required items for the LM: Fuel, Glow starter, Switch, Fuel bottle. Ordered a 985MG for the throttle/Brake.
heading back down the cave when I'm done with my domestic chores, working on installing my Onstat bumper

Another Custom Works Outlaw.
I just couldn't bring myself to change the setup of the current one to run it outdoors.

Cool! Can't believe there are only two indoor races left, but that means Late Model season is near:woohoo::cool:
I am soooo far behind on my outdoor stuff it isn't funny.
solographix 02-27-2010, 12:33 PM My only BIG expense left for outdoor is a quality steering servo for the LM and a brushless motor for sprint if i run it.
Other than that my Slash & Buggy are pretty much set to go. I do need to paint a bunch of bodies though.
and I still need to get my LM motor out and rebuilt.

Must be nice to have a bank of mom? Ever hear of a pen and paper? Write down the settings? Bob you're getting soft racing on rugs. Oh no, theres lint in my car. LOL
Lap Traffic 02-27-2010, 06:32 PM Four hours in the man den and all but the front suspension is done. Oh, and I have to build the shocks. My favorite thing.

Bank of Mom is a beautiful thing:thumbsup:
Now that you mention it, that lint is a PIA. I need to clean it of with a tooth brush and the compressor. Just can't hose this electric stuff down like I do with the outdoor cars.
dano628 02-27-2010, 06:54 PM I think I can smell nitro fumes !!! :woohoo::cool:

I never thought I would like running indoor, but I gotta say I'm gonna miss it.
I really enjoy running sprint. I hope it's as much fun in the dirt.

Bob, the great thing about keeping your Indoor Sprint setup is you can still run it at Xtreme during the offroad season. That maybe especially satisfying when mother nature puts an end to our offroad fun. Going to keep 3 of my carpet cars runnable and hopefully run indoors throughout the year

I would like to get down to Extreme more. I'll have to see about getting some of the sprint guys interested.
I guess I could always run the 1/12 scale.

Arct1k 02-28-2010, 09:02 AM Hot Bodies is having an online Garage Sale - good place to pick up some of those obscure parts for the Lightning family of vehicles. They have parts for the Lightning Stadium 10, Lightning Stadium, Lightning 2 Buggy, Minizilla and some others.

dano628 02-28-2010, 03:29 PM Yeah . Took J.T. and me 5 hours to dig out to the road . Gibson loves the snow though , so he had a great time digging out . We live on a private road had so much snow the plow truck was stuck in the middle of the road for ten hours .
