Didnt mean that your servo is no good ( I use that same servo for the steering on my Sprinter ) just a little underpowered for 1/8 buggy steering . You will be more then happy with 7955TG . Plenty of Tq and good transit time . Make sure you set the end points correctly dont want to tear the front of your buggy off with that monster .

No, I did not take it like that at all. I thank you for pointing it out to me. You would know better then me anyway since this is my first time running a 1/8. So if you see something that is not right please tell me. You would be doing me a favor.

Nick,
I took some time (on my flight back from MSP) to go thru the truck load of photos Lucas and I took last season which would be great to update the dirtrunners.com site with. I've used JAlbum to generate the all thumbs and Nav. I've hosted them on one of my domains so you can all take a look.

Let me know what you think, and how is the easiest way to get them to you to publish them, a zip file maybe ?

I think it will be great to get some recent photos of classes we ran last year etc. (most recent pics I see on the site are from 2006):

Some one (I think it was John Marcotte) proposed a Rally car class for next race. His timing was excellent, because I brought an HPI RS4 Rally car to the track to sell and someone bought it.

It's about time! lol

I am going to pick up a new servo for my Losi 8. Going to get Hitec
HS-7955TG. Like you guys said the one I have is not good so why play around. I will keep my old one as a back up then.

Randy, you can also look into the Hobbico CS-170 Digital Ultra Torq Servo (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNRN6&P=SM).

Same exact torque and speed specs as the Hitec HS-7955TG Ultra Torque Titanium Gear Digital Servo but 430 cheaper and a little lighter.

I will be taking a ton of pictures too since I'm only running 8thEB this year. I'm also interested to see how we can get the pictures loaded.

Ah, somebody else has one of those?! I wish I hadn't sold mine, but I couldn't find drivetrain parts for it anymore and when I got down to my last main pulley layshaft, I sold it.

I think a class running those and Tamiya DF-03RAs would be a real hoot. The jumps on our track are small enough I think it would work pretty well! They'd bee good fun on the oval, too.

That would be a cool class..............but what kind of interest and support is there for it?

Stuck at home yes :) but wife and kids too, which leaves little time to escape to the mancave :(

I plan on spending most of my day on school work, so little is being done to the RC stuff here as well. I really need to get my LM motor out and rebuilt, April is coming fast!

Probably not much of either! I don't expect it to happen, but it would be fun to get a couple of them on the track on a non-race day at least...:hat:

Oh, and I'm at home too. most of the roads were fine when I ventured across town this morning, but I didn't want to get stuck at work with the snowfall continuing (LONG, STEEP hill on the way home) so I called in and told them to email me anything that needs work - so far nuthin! Doesn't hurt that only 1 person in my office actually went in today...

Adam - I just saw on the Weather Channel that you have a little snow. Most snow fall in the area so far actually. Better you than me. LOL Hope you have a snow plow? Looks like heavy stuff. My 1 inch should be melted by lunch time tomorrow. LOL

I have already shoveled the first 6-8. You can take your 1" and shove... never mind :p

This storm is really variable by location; it's weird. I already cleared about 6-8" from the driveway (it has accumulated deeper on the existing snow, like almost 10" new today, but my sister in law lives less than 15 miles southwest and she says they've gotten like 2" all day:confused:

On another note, when does the outdoor race weekend schedule usually get posted? I have to help make arrangements for a family function in July and I'm trying to avoid missing a race day!:dude:

Whats a shovel? Oh thats what I use on my steps. When you have a 150' long by 8' wide driveway on a 25 degree slope, a snow plow on the John Deere is what the doctor ordered. Otherwise the doctor would be ordering traction on my back. LOL

Tobdy - Id like to get up to Station2 as well as Alvin. Imnot sure that I will get there every week we are not racing, but a few times over the season is not out of the question. For starters, we should pick a date in advance and spread the wrod. Hopefully we can get a good Dirt Runners contingent to show. Maybe we can run a class up there that doesnt run much because of low car count. Or boost a class that doesnt have a good following. Sprint car for example. If we can get about 4 + to show, that would be cool. And of course all the other classes we run would just be a bonus.

Hey Bob. Did Mr. Scrooge give you guys a gift today? Im on a delayed opening. Hopefully they will call the day like they did for the last big snow we got. Oh Adam, I should have kept my mouth shut. Its hard to tell how much I got because of the wind, but I see 10 inches on the front porch, 4 by the back deck door, 9 to 10 on the back walk way, and a 4 foot drift on top of my driveway.

Come on you snow sissies get to work! I'm sitting at my desk since 7:00am. My daughter works for our Volvo store and she is here also

The roads are really no problem. 287 and the NY Thruway are down to the road surface.

Home I have to cleanup, here I do nothing.

From what I gather, the SC mod class will be 2wd and 4x4 combined. There doesnt seem to be too much interest in 2wd? There are approximately 12 4x4 Slashes ready to race. Since this is a modified class, there is no motor limit. This does not mean there wont be a separate 2wd mod class. By our rules, a minimum of 5 show up, and you will run your own heats/mains. But for now they will be mixed with the 4x4 trucks.

Well I brought my kid to the indoor race last Saturday and she liked it. So I have a small New Bright truck for her to learn on. She is crashing into everything and driving my wife nuts.

Hope to have her racing by next year.
