Slash Spec is Slash only :)
Been alot of discussion about this. But in short, if five or more non-Stock-Slash 2WD Short Course trucks turn up, they'll race together in a Mod 2WD Short Course class.

Ill get some up as soon as possible. I just test drove it. Just tapped the throttle. It shot right into me. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOUCH. It was only 6 feet away when I started it. LOL This truck is STUPID fast. Good thing its 4x4. Would be impossible to drive it otherwise. Its gonna be a really fun class.

I saw the new 4x4 Slash last night at HTUSA while looking for a few last-minute items. Of course, it has just come in, so all I got to look at was a shrinkwrapped box, but hey, it's better than nothing:p. From those glossy full color pictures on the box it sure does look nice. Wish I could afford one......sadly that won't happen unless somebody wants to buy a nice electric converted RC8:rolleyes:.

Due to how much I invested in it, I'm not planning on it, but for the right price...;) Seriously, dealing with 2 batteries at a time is a pain(charging, balancing, etc between heats), which is about the only reason I'd consider ditching the RC8 for a single-battery 4x4 like the Slash.

I guess with the financial issue you are not into buying new batteries but ProMatch is selling a 5100 mAHr 4S hard case LiPo for $160 - and that is with free shipping.

Yes I have used batteries from ProMatch, both NiMH and LiPo. I have been satisfied with them. I recently purchased some newer ones and I have three of their first generation LiPo for sale if you are interested: http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=274675

I hear ya. I also had 2 batts on my E8. Now I only have to worry about 1 / vehicle. I now have an "extra" for the rest of the day and other classes. Its not tied into the E8. But thats not the only reason I decided to retire from E8. More to it than just batteries.

Good to know. I haven't been on the promatch site recently, but all of my current race packs are from Pro-Match. I think they're just about the best bang:buck ratio out there. It may be worthwhile to invest in one of them for the outdoor season if finances allow; charging a single 4S pack between rounds would be much easier/faster with my current chargers than charging two packs separately. The ease of using two packs in series for 1/8 scale is what drew me into the class, but it turned out to be a much easier concept to deal with in the context of bashing, not so much in racing...
