I was busy doing the family thing, still settling into having double the parenting workload; good news is my son is about as low-maintenance as a newborn can be. So, let's hope it stays that way and I can get a pass for at least ONE race day before the season's over... nicwald 08-30-2010, 01:12 PM Results can be found here: http://www.DirtRunners.com Standings: http://www.dirtrunners.com/documents/Standings%2008-29-2010.htm Results: http://www.dirtrunners.com/documents/Mains%2008-29-2010.htm Records: http://www.dirtrunners.com/documents/OutdoorRecords_2010.htm Reminder: Next race is the Dirt Runners Challenge, get those preregistration's in!! ta_man 08-30-2010, 01:30 PM Results can be found here: http://www.DirtRunners.com Standings: http://www.dirtrunners.com/documents/Standings%2008-29-2010.htm Results: http://www.dirtrunners.com/documents/Mains%2008-29-2010.htm Records: http://www.dirtrunners.com/documents/OutdoorRecords_2010.htm Reminder: Next race is the Dirt Runners Challenge, get those preregistration's in!! I think it may be Wayne that has to do this but shouldn't the standings be "Best 11 out of 13" instead of "Best 8 out of 10"? We've got 9 races in and 3 more to go with the Challenge being double points. Lap Traffic 08-30-2010, 05:53 PM Ray, Make sure you disassemble your diff before you order the gears. You may need the diff case cover 30751 and ring gear mounting hardware 30121 also. King Headz makes an aluminium cover. I have had two of the plastic ones fail, but none this season. Wayne Miele 08-30-2010, 05:56 PM Mark, that has been fixed. radsnappy 08-30-2010, 09:06 PM ok bob , was hoping to do it tonight but had some unexpected company , hate that , try again tomorrow ,no football practice:thumbsup: HYDE16 08-30-2010, 10:42 PM Here we go guys, latest round of pictures are up from this past Sunday. http://public.fotki.com/JacobsRC/dirt-runners/dirt-runners-8-29-10/ As always, email me at RJacobs1@gmail.com with the picture files you want me to send you. Wayne Miele 09-01-2010, 11:54 PM I would like to propose for indoor 1/10 oval pan cars we go with 17.5 1 cell and the COT body with a limit on speed controls. This is by far the largest class running at most of the tracks in the northeast. This way people can plan for the class. Also makes it easier for the DR people that travel to other tracks. And also may bring some new blood in. Wayne Miele 09-02-2010, 12:00 AM This class can rub and bump without sending the cars flying. It is plenty fast too. ta_man 09-02-2010, 10:50 AM I would like to propose for indoor 1/10 oval pan cars we go with 17.5 1 cell and the COT body with a limit on speed controls. This is by far the largest class running at most of the tracks in the northeast. This way people can plan for the class. Also makes it easier for the DR people that travel to other tracks. And also may bring some new blood in. I'd go for the motor and speed control rule (by "limit" I assume you mean no dynamic timing, so a Havoc and GTB would be competitive in the class) but leave the bodies open so the pre-COT bodies can be used at the driver's discretion. dano628 09-02-2010, 11:51 AM I'd go for the motor and speed control rule (by "limit" I assume you mean no dynamic timing, so a Havoc and GTB would be competitive in the class) but leave the bodies open so the pre-COT bodies can be used at the driver's discretion. They dont even race COT's anymore should be COY car of yesterday  radsnappy 09-02-2010, 02:15 PM I would like to propose for indoor 1/10 oval pan cars we go with 17.5 1 cell and the COT body with a limit on speed controls. This is by far the largest class running at most of the tracks in the northeast. This way people can plan for the class. Also makes it easier for the DR people that travel to other tracks. And also may bring some new blood in. I'd. Be in for that class, raced it at other places and it is the most popular with the least arguments, mark a cot body is only 24 bucks and a closed body protects your car more in rear crashes sewerdog 09-02-2010, 03:24 PM went up to the track early this morning , wasnt as dry and dusty as i thought it would be , it was actually pretty good , lots of ruts and bumps though, needs a little grooming , im sure it will get it before the challange. dano628 09-02-2010, 05:00 PM went up to the track early this morning , wasnt as dry and dusty as i thought it would be , it was actually pretty good , lots of ruts and bumps though, needs a little grooming , im sure it will get it before the challange. Offroad tracks are supposed to have ruts and bumps . radsnappy 09-02-2010, 05:24 PM good one Dan:thumbsup: ta_man 09-02-2010, 05:30 PM I'd. Be in for that class, raced it at other places and it is the most popular with the least arguments, mark a cot body is only 24 bucks and a closed body protects your car more in rear crashes I already have a body that protects the rear of my car. It isn't cut out yet. Wayne Miele 09-02-2010, 05:49 PM The body would have to be a COT body. I know proline and mc callister both make them. If you cut it on the line all the cars will be the same height give or take tire size. Other tracks are running this class with great sucess. And yes those speedo's you mentioned would be able to compete. I think it will make for much better racing all around. Dave Stefans 09-02-2010, 06:19 PM Offroad tracks are supposed to have ruts and bumps . Organic:thumbsup: dano628 09-02-2010, 06:38 PM Organic:thumbsup: the word of the day "organic" tobamiester 09-03-2010, 07:37 AM Post 4 videos last night. Late Model A/B and Electric. Open Monster. http://www.youtube.com/tobamiester Will try and get more up today. sewerdog 09-03-2010, 09:14 AM you guys are so funny, all i was saying was it was a little more beat up than usual, i would leave it that way , but some of you guys dont like to get your stuff to dirty on an off road track, so im sure the extra ruts and big holes might get you upset too ,just being organic lol:thumbsup: Lap Traffic 09-03-2010, 09:34 AM I hope some volunteers show for track prep next Friday or it will be mighty ORGANIC for the Challenge. sewerdog 09-03-2010, 09:47 AM i say no track prep , its supposed to have ruts and bumps :freak: lol Lap Traffic 09-03-2010, 10:00 AM i say no track prep , its supposed to have ruts and bumps :freak: lol Well if you have never experienced the Challenge, there will be nothing left of the track by the end of Saturday's qualifying rounds, if it's not prepped. It will need work Sunday morning also. I'll only be working on the oval anyway. Hope some folks show for the offroad. ta_man 09-03-2010, 10:35 AM i say no track prep , its supposed to have ruts and bumps :freak: lol So you are saying I shouldn't have put the two wheelbarrows full of dirt in the washout on the off-road track because it would have been OK for you if your car dropped a wheel into that hole and it got ripped off? I don't think everyone feels that way. I think most people would like to finish the races they run in. Of course, you could just avoid the hole, right? But without maintenance, eventually there isn't any track left to actually race on. That's why I spent part of last Friday afternoon shoveling brown stuff (dirt ). vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
