i got lucky.. i started third and at the start race buzzer the front row got together, fourth place got some bite but hit the infield, so that gave me a shot out front till about 30 seconds to go. then it got real interesting.. you could have covered the top three with a beach towel was what i heard in the pit later.

my dad's funeral was friday morning, the family is a little better after hearing the words that were spoken at church. it sure made us feel good to see alot of people show up for the services held.

Reminder: We will be racing next SATURDAY 1/2/2010; same as this week, because of the holiday. Doors open at 4pm; racing starts at 6pm sharp.

After canvassing racers last night I would like to announce we will start a points season starting next week. At this time it looks like we will have 4 classes: Smallblock Trucks, Bigblock Trucks, Smallblock EDM 17.5, Bigblock EDM 17.5. There has been talk of a Late Model class. If this can get the attention and we run them for 8-10 weeks I will be happy to include. Also, if there is interest in a Slider class, we can add that as well. 3 or more and we will race 'em!
I'm thinking of a 13 week season with 3 drops, making your best 10 count. Also, will have a bonus point incentive for attending all 13 events. This will run us through the month of March. We will discuss the awards; trophies or plaques. Starting next week we will have a weekly 50/50 drawing in lieu of the typical racer drawings in efforts of gaining some extra $$ to pay for awards. Race registration costs will remain $12 and $8 for 12/under.

No records were set last night; track was quite dry and slick. Most drivers had quite a tough time dialing in their cars. No fear; I worked on track for a good part of the day today wetting and sweeping it in. Track should be fast again for next week's racing.

Practice night this Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm. Come and get your car hooked up for Friday's racing!
