The Northern Indiana points series, race two is in the books! Last night, 69 racers took to the track at Pete Russell's for the Oval Outlaw Nationals. Travelers from Michigan, Ohio and Northeast Indiana shook things up a bit!

In the Mini-Sliders, Chuck “Orange Julius” Bolin extends his points lead by five over Colin Hardy. Daren Miller jumps into the third spot and makes ground on the Chuck and Colin with a strong Second place finish, where he led the better part of the main. Wade Krull with his B-Main finish drops to fourth, and Michael Thayer was a no-show in that class.

In 10th Scale Sliders, Kyle Pittenger goes to the top with a third place finish in the A. Points leader Chuck Bolin drops to third with a B-Main win, and Colin Hardy moves to second spot with a fourth place finish in the A feature.

SuperStock seen the most change. Your second and third place points men, Jeff “Air” Conde and Jerral Whaley were missing in action. Thiler Claxton holds now a slim five point lead over Anthony Searls. Thiler won the B-Main, and Anthony finished fifth in the A feature with a “button issue” at the start. Josh Carlton leaps into third with his third place finish in the B, and Taylor Baney made huge gains with his fourth in the A feature after a surprisingly poor finish at race one.

The hotly contested Pro Stock had a couple of no-shows as well, but they were well out of the points lead. Travis Russell holds onto the points lead by five over Todd Falkowski. Todd was second in the A Feature and Travis was third. Dave Zipp and Johnny “Tanlines” Sparks are now tied (with the tiebreaker going to Zippy for the third place finish at race one), and Ken Bajdek rounds out the top five with his B-Main win.

Outlaw Sprint Cars… Your race one winner Jon Tully didn’t have a lucky day, completing only two laps in the A feature. Ken Bajdek won from the pole, giving him the outright points lead over Travis Russell, who’s second place finish vaulted him to second in points. Tully drops to third, with Pete Russell and Kyle Pittenger rounding out the top five.

Next race is at Michiana RC, the Fourth Annual Michiana Oval Madness on February 28th. There’s also a warmup for this race NEXT SUNDAY the 31st. Seeya there!!! :thumbsup:

All right guys. Checking the schedule out today I noticed a huge mistake when looking at the N.I.P.S. finals date on April 4th. That's Easter! So knowing we can't do that we are moving up the finals date to March 28th. Sorry for any inconvienences this may cause. Please make a note of it.

Round 3 is in the books & put on another great show! Thanks to the Mishawaka crew for all the hard work. Round 4, the finals, on March 28th. I will plan on puttuing up a post early next week with all the info.

Race three of the Northern Indiana Points Series is in the books! Michiana RC had 78 entries laying a groove down yesterday, and the Madness shook up the points much like a race at Talladega would!

In Losi Mini Sliders, Daren Miller has tied it up with Chuck "Orange Julius" Bolin with a TQ and Win yesterday. Chuck finished third behind Dave Kemper, who's not in the points. Colin Hardy had a rough weekend, having to pull out of the racing. Wade Krull's fourth place finish ties him with Colin for the third spot in points going into the finals.

In 10th Scale Sliders, Kyle Pittenger TQ'ed and Won, extending his points lead by 10 over Colin Hardy, who finished second. Chuck Bolin holds onto third with a third place finish.

In SuperStock, a strong showing of mixers really shook up the points series! Most everyone who was anyone came out to race SuperStock, including a strong showing of BRL regulars! Young ace Thiler Claxton really took a hard hit- from leading the points by five to being down 50(!) to Anthony Searls, your current points leader. Anthony finished third in the A-Feature, behind Snowbirds Champ Brian Deel and Travis Russell. After a second place finish in the A-Feature at race one on this same track, Thiler finished second in the C Main. Josh Carlton is still in third, extending his gap on new fourth place runner Kyle Grindle, who moved up from seventh by finishing third in the C Main behind Thiler. Josh finished 6th in the C Main. Taylor Baney is now dropped to fifth place after bad luck in qualifying put Taylor in the F Main, which he won. Due to the high car count (33 SuperStockers), many racers, due to the points system, received zero points!

In Pro Stock, it's a dead heat! Travis Russell and Todd Falkowski are both tied with 290 points. Todd and Travis finished 1-2 in Sunday's A-Feature, in front of Brian Deel who finished third. For them, it's down to the finals to decide it! Tied for third were John Sparks and Dave Zipp- Dave missed the race, dropping to seventh in points. John Sparks won the B-Main, giving him third outright. Now tied for fourth are Ken Bajdek and Dustin Williams, with their B-Main finishes.

In Outlaw Sprint Cars, the lead has changed! Travis Russell erased a 20 point defecit to take the points lead by five going into the finals over previous leader Ken Bajdek. Ken TQ'ed and led early at the Madness, but failure to navigate through traffic led to his demise. Travis went onto win the A-Feature, with Ken finishing sixth. Third place in points, Jon Tully, finished second- putting the top three 10 points apart going into the finals!

The Finals are March 28th at Pete Russell's Hobby Shop. Travis will be posting information soon on the race. See ya there!!!

In ProStock, two of the three events were TQ'ed by non-points racers (Racknor and Deel), so Travis is the only one who received points...

Less than 2 weeks til the N.I.P.S. Finals! Sunday, March 28th.

Anybody have any suggestion to help me out? My mini slider has something slipping. Changed gear boxes and moved the pinion, but it is still slipping. Anyone got an idea as to what it could be? Need that fixed to run on the 28th!

what do you mean slipping...does it go at all?...it has to be something in the gears and ...I have one for sale for $130 it cleaned house at mishawaka very fast car comes rtr run expect batt

It will go but its not gettin up to full speed. It starts to take then the motor winds up and the car puts.

And I have two others to take parts from, I just can't figure out what part of the rear end is the problem.

Question was asked what happens in case of a tie. If there would be a tie in the points, the higher finisher @ the finals gets the spot.

k, i know i asked you guys before, but do you have anyone in case we are one short that can run a stock or mamba 4200 motor in a mini late model?
