Went to a local Hobby Show that I never knew existed.. apparently it was their 29th year and was held in a school not 3 miles from my house.

Mainly planes, boats and cars.. but some of the vendors (especially near closing)
were selling some of the old 1970s Matchbox Kits for $3.00 or $4.00.

I had a ton of these as a kid. They are a bit toy like but have a great variety and nostalgia factor for me. I can't paint like John P. or Agentsmith but will give it a go.

It'll be 1973 all over again!

Thats a cool find. We had a model show and swap meet at my hobby shop a week or so back and I scored a bunch of old Airfix kits from the 70s...

Revell Germany issues many of the Matchbox kits today. You can get the Walrus, Swordfish, Norseman, Heinkel 170, Grumman F9F Panther, Privateer, Halifax, and many of the tank and armor kits now in the Revell Germany packaging. The nice thing with the Revell issues are 1) better decals and 2) normal plastic and not the repulsive multi colored stuff from the original issues.
