Hello all,
Has anybody heard of any plans for conversions for the new Frankenstein? I'm holding out hope for a Peter Boyle head... :)
Thanks

considering how the studios are cracking down on infringement right now, if such things are being made, they wont be openly advertised.

I think the body is too thin to do Peter Boyle, unfortunately. He was quite thick set when he did the film and had a lot of shoulder and torso padding under his suit.
Love that movie... "Quick give him the ..."

"He would have an enormous Schvanenstukker..."
Trivia Moment- Mel Brooks was able to use the original movie props for his film- they had been carefully stored all those years.

Yep, Kenneth Strickfaden is credited in Young Frankenstein for the creation and ownership of the props.
From Wikipedia: "Kenneth Strickfaden (1896 - 1984) was an electrician, film set designer, and electrical special effects creator. He created the science fiction apparatus in more than 100 motion picture films and television programs, from 1931’s Frankenstein to The Wizard of Oz and The Mask of Fu Manchu to television's The Munsters."
From imdb.com: " When Mel Brooks was preparing "Young Frankenstein," he found that Ken Strickfaden, who had made the elaborate electrical machinery for the lab sequences in the Universal Frankenstein films, was still alive in the Los Angeles area. He visited Strickfaden and found that Strickfaden had saved all the equipment and had it stored in his garage. Brooks made a deal to rent the equipment for his film and gave Strickfaden the screen credit he'd deserved, but hadn't gotten, for the original films."
