i thought the Tjet HRs bulged out at the sides to fit around the chassis, and that they only had 3 pipes per side instead of 4. does that make this a Vibe body? if so, how is it screwed to a Tjet chassis?

looks like a vibe and it looks like the chassis was trimmed to fit, in the looking down pic anyway

Right Rick!
They can and have been crammed. Note the odd pulled away appearence of the pipes in the overhead shot...? A good shot down the side would show that it was shaped like this ^ on the rockers
Sometimes they get stretched out and it's hard to get them to fit perfect again...but I have shrinky dinked them back to some degree. The linked one is looking pretty nice.

This "crammer" was one of the lucky ones

Nice looking Vibe body on a T-Jet chassis. No bulge on the doors. It needs Hot Rod hubs and tires.

Nice car Bill, I likes hot rods in green! For all its flaws the vibe chassis is low profile and narrow, and fits under stuff approaching true HO scale. Love to fool with them.

Be nifty to have a modern inline set up on that dimension.... a can on a cracker so to speak....ssssssshiver!
How cool would that be?
