Just saw it for the first time (again). Some pretty pivotal changes from the original namely the ending. In all I liked it. I especially like how they redubbed Teal'c's voice and added some footage we haven't seen before. I'm no prude but I'm glad to see they did away with the whole gratuitous full-frontal scene.

Don't know how they're going to explain away Kowalski's bad temper in the next episode. They didn't show him get taken over by the injured Jaffa's symbiote or the resultant disorientation he suffered when he got back through the gate. Maybe they'll redo the whole series, add some stuff here and there and erase minor plot-point errors, oversights and nightmares along the way like the whole third shot from a zat gun thorn in the producer's sides.

What changes did they make to the end of the episode? I don't think changing it was required, in all honesty, and have had a strong dislike of RetConning movies/TV Shows like this since Lucas did it w/the original trilogy of Star Wars movies.

oh. Sorry. Yeah, they completely dropped the whole plot point.

Huh... I wonder why? That takes away from part of O'Neill's character plot point for most of the series - losing one of his best friends to the Snakes. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me for them to have done that.
