View Full Version : A mustang that we need more of.
stang_crazy 11-10-2009, 10:59 PM Well this may be just my opinion.
But there have only been a handfull of 79-93 mustang fox bodies produced and they were so so.
I think GL could hit one out of the park if they made this style.
What id like to see my self in 1/64th scale at least.
87-88 mustang gt w/ t-tops (hatchback)
87-93 mustang GT (hatcback)
87-93 mustang LX (hatchback)
87-93 mustang LX (notchback)
87-93 mustang GT (vert)
87-93 mustang LX (vert)
Id buy so many of these id prolly have to sell one of the acutual stangs to fund em.
I know quite a few people that would eat these things up.
So GL have your or would you consider this model at all?
03silvergt 11-10-2009, 11:21 PM greenlight is making this model. Ive seen first shots of it posted here and on underthehoodclub
the one they are making is a notchback

thanks a bunch.
I can see a few getting cut up to make others now. now how long before they show up??
03silvergt 11-11-2009, 12:16 AM dont know how long. sometime next year.
69Stang 11-11-2009, 12:21 AM Thanks great, but i'm still hopping for the SN-95 platform (1994-95) as I have a drivway FULL of them!

I agree, although extend that through 98! I recently got my first Mustang after 20 years of waiting , a 96 Cobra.
I wish they were making a 93 SVT. The SVT Stangs have almost zero representation in 1/64 no matter which generation.
Atencio 11-11-2009, 02:51 AM Of course I am bias but I want a Fox bodied Saleen

One can never have too many 'Stangs...
robertwadehall 11-11-2009, 11:01 AM Oh, yeah. Definitely could use more Foxes. I'd esp. like to see:
'85-86 GT
'85-86 LX 5.0 notchback
JL did the '79-82 and '87-93 GTs, but being an owner of an '87 GT (and previously an '86 LX), I'd like to see more Foxes in diecast.
I'm thinking about getting a '10 GT or waiting for the engine upgrade for the '11 in 1:1. I've had 3 Mustangs in 1:1, the '86, '87, and my '69 Sportsroof (I got the '87 new, my Dad bought the '69 new).

Get the '11! Can't go wrong with 400 ponies...
MustangChris 11-11-2009, 06:25 PM I have an '06 and I'm waiting on the '11 for the engine upgrade. I cannot wait!!

Ya, thinking of waiting for the '11. Though the '10 Camaro SS and Challenger SRT8 are temping also....wanted to get something fun by June '10 for my 40th birthday.
Eurosport94 11-11-2009, 07:35 PM Excellent, out of the boatload of other Mustangs available, I'm excited for the notch!!!!
Of course I am bias but I want a Fox bodied Saleen
A saleen version would be great.
Yes, JL did some fox bodies, but they are not so hot....especially the '79.
A redo of the '79 Pace car and the '82 GT woukd be great! I would like to see the '83 - '84 GT done as well.
69Stang 11-11-2009, 11:57 PM Opps, your right harristotle, I ment to type 94 through 98. We have a 96GT, 97HO6 and a few million parts to our 95' waiting to be built into a track / race ride.
68SUPERBEE440-6 11-17-2009, 04:13 PM :woohoo::woohoo:I CANT WAIT woo hoo *doing the mustang dance*:roll:LOL:
88th division 11-17-2009, 09:02 PM These will be awsome! I had an '89 LX 5.0 hatchback that I ordered from the factory. OMG has it been 20 years already?
sheldon 11-20-2009, 08:12 PM While we're on the subject of Mustangs, I have NOT seen too many 1973 Mach Is.... only JL (fairly mediocre casting), and Kyosho (decent, but no details/features). And now that after SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much time GL has finally sorted out the over-widthed wheels, perhaps they can add to their Mustang catalog.
stang_crazy 11-20-2009, 08:26 PM Id like to see more fox bodys for 1 reason well 2 i guess. 1 its a mustang & 2
because i kinda own a few so i guess ya could say i like em. Ive owned about 20 stangs all of them except 2 were 87-93's the other 2 were a 94 & 98.
Next year im looking into buying a 69 mach 1 from the fiances bro.

Buy Gold (http://www.goldcoinsgain.com)
robertwadehall 12-04-2009, 02:43 PM Here's my '87 GT. Had it since new, 63k miles. Pretty original, bone stock. 5spd. Don't drive it that much now, but still enjoy an occasional spin. I used to have an '86 LX also.
