...the gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
why the gunpowder treason
should ever be forgot.

'Tis November 5th, and to my brothers across the pond, a Happy Guy Fawkes' Day to you all! I know many people turn up their nose at this flick, but I enjoyed it, so to honor the day I followed my annual tradition of watching V FOR VENDETTA. Anybody else out there like this movie, despite Alan Moore's constant badmouthing of any movie based on his work?

one of my favorite flicks. My wife can't stand V's constant monologuing.

Saw it in the theater. Enjoyed it. Not one I'm itching to watch again though.

I would have liked it more had they cast a British actress in the lead role. Nothing against Natalie Portman as she does a servicable job in the role, except some lapses in her accent. For me, good enough to rewatch on cable if it is on, but not so much as to want to add it to my video library.

I liked it. Couldn't figure out where the style came from, is this based on a "graphic novel"?

The V thread made me think of this one too.

I really enjoy this one even if it is a bit heavy-handed. I think Natalie did a fine job.

I really enjoyed it and I loved the graphic novel from the moment it first came out. I remember back when it came out it didn't seem they would ever get it done since its publishing schedule was nowhere near on time.
