Mat214 11-11-2009, 10:34 AM Is the dirt going to be the same as last year or will there be some better stuff?
Uncle E 11-11-2009, 04:44 PM Is the dirt going to be the same as last year or will there be some better stuff?
Did you mean to say, you didn't care for the dirt last year and you hoping they've come up with something better?
Mat214 11-11-2009, 05:28 PM Ya that dirt last year didn't hold up to well with all the laps being turned. So I was hoping for something a little better that might hold water a little bit longer. Instead of turning to really loss dust. I had a great time last year other than the track conditions.
Thanks
Mat
Big Dog 11-13-2009, 08:58 AM Yeah I do admit that at the end of the nitro days the track went to crap. We have experimented with an additive with good results. It should be a ton better!
Mat214 11-13-2009, 10:48 AM Thanks
Stateline R/C 11-14-2009, 09:01 AM why did they choose to run the electric scale buggys on the nitro week?
kwiksi 11-14-2009, 09:10 AM Prolly cuz elec has bigger turnouts. Adding that class will prolly be too much that weekend.
Mat214 11-14-2009, 02:37 PM I think its stupid to make the electric 1/8 run the same weekend as nitro. I mean they are electric. And the signups say electric weekend and nitro weekend. Part of the reason the guys run the electric ones is sound and fumes. Hopefully next year we can get that changed

Easy Matt, CRCRC has only done one of the nations biggest races for about a quarter century. A smig of respect might be inorder??
Mat214 11-15-2009, 09:09 AM Easy uncle E I never disrespected crcrc. I just think they should run them on the same week as the 1/10 scales so guys don't have to get a hotel and stuff for 2 weekends. Like I said before I had a good time in the past and look forward to coming down to race.

The majority of 1/10 scale guys and gals dont Like to marshal 1/8 scale buggy and truggys.

Myself and a few others that I know. Will not practice with our 1/10 stuff when 1/8 is on the track. Having your stuff run over by buggies 3 x the weight is not cool.
Stateline R/C 11-15-2009, 10:59 PM i was at the nitro weekend last year and was sick from the fumes for a week, so i was looking forward to going to the elect week this year. i dont see an elect truggy class listed

There are many reasons that CRCRC choose to run 1/8 E-Buggy with the nitro program. This was a very hard discision to make. Who do we upset? The die hard 1/10 electric drivers with a rutted up, dipped up track, or the few 1/8 e-buggy drivers. I would like to make everyone happy, but thats impossible. Please look at it from all sides.
1. The track is fresh and soft. Heavy 1/8 cars will ruin a soft track and upset all of the 1/10 scale cars. They WIll rut up the corners and push dips into the track.
2. Most if not all 1/10 scale drivers will not or dont want to marshall 1/8 cars.
3. Practice, will have to split practice for the handful of drivers showing
We do have separated pits spots for those who do not want to be in the main building.
Uncle E thanks,

XXX-Fan 12-06-2009, 10:27 PM Big Dog,
What were the tires of choice for 1/8 buggy last year?
RodneyB 12-07-2009, 12:57 AM I will be providing live coverage on my blog this year, mainly in the form of pictures and videos. To wet your whistle, check out these track pics I've taken from the past three years.

I noticed Team Associated's Cavalieri and Thielke have already signed up for the electric race and Maifield and Thielke for the nitro race on rcsignup.com. Should be great races as usual.
In case you missed it, I had posted the winners from the pro classes in the last 10 years last month. Check it out here http://crcrc.blogspot.com/2009/11/crcrc-midwest-championship-sign-ups.html
windix60 12-10-2009, 08:30 AM For Stock class is the 13.5 motor legal or do we have to run 17.5? I did not see this mentioned on the entry form.
Thanks,
Kelly

any other e-truggys,we have 4 that want to come on the nitro weekend
does anyone know what tires were used last year for the gas 8th and truggy? Thanks
Big Dog 01-05-2010, 05:13 PM At this time the Electric race has topped 300 entries online!!! That total doesn't reflect the handful of "Offline" entries we've received.
As is the normal course of things, some number of those entered will either not show, or will end up dropping a class or ????? something.
So in order to account for the possible dropouts, the online entry total has been upped to 350. There are 200 paid entries so far.
If you want in, you better sign up now!!!
