I picked up this late-'80's Isuzu Trooper II at a yard sale about 15 years ago and have never run across another or any information about it. There is no manufacturer's stamp on the base, but the Isuzu logo is there leading me to believe that it was maybe a promo. "Made in Japan" (not China) is also stamped on the base, but doesn't show up in the last photo. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

I'd say you're right about it being a promo.

Here it's presented with a box, so it really seems it was some kind of Isuzu dealer edition.
