So, I recently picked up the new MCG javelin, but it's not big bad blue... it's more of a metallic blue, and it doesn't have the rally wheels, but just the standard 5 spoke magnum style rims.. but they are to scale and look nice...

Still looking forward to that big bad blue version with the rally rims...

They had to change it last minute, I can't remember why though. That color blue is still a factory color for it thought.

I am by no means an AMC afficiando, but if memory serves me correct, the Big Bad Colors were ONLY available in 1969 and 1970. That Hobby Javelin is a 73, so WHY would it be painted Big Bad Blue?? Also, I don't EVER recall a factory-correct AMC ever painted that type of Blue.

Well, I just finished going through AMC paint charts for 68-74 and couldn't find a color that really comes even close in hue. If you factor in the translucent nature on the Greenlight, it's even less so!
