Castline M2's Clearly Auto-thentic 1953 Oldsmobile 98 in 1/64 scale from Dollar Tree served as a test case for a combination latex paint/colored marker application underneath the clear plastic body panels. The results are still not up to par as far as I am concerned, but to me, the look of the car is much better defined and recognizable, and that is a plus for those who favor 50s-style cars.

There is something about this particular plastic that makes adhesion a problem. Maybe an oil-based paint will solve this. On to beginning the next case study.

Thanks for looking....

looks great. did you wash the car first? all plastics should be washed before painting due to the release product thay put on so it wont stick to the mold.
also try spraying it with enamel paint krylon works great.
