Yup, it was replaced by the new Caddy CTS wagon after apparently a license deal fell through with Rolls Royce.

That bit of news has ruined my day. I hadn't looked forward to a matchbox release this much since... well... ever.

Fingers crossed that maybe Minichamps releases a Phantom variant in their next wave for 1/64 scale cars then.

edit: ANY chance that deal gets redone? Cuz come to think of it, they would have had to have put in a fair bit of money into a new mold for the car? All that money goes down the drain?

GerryThat sounds about right. I needed a car for work a few years ago so I bought mine off a workmate for $2,000. :thumbsup:

Wow! 500 000 km, the most we see around here is the occasional Toyota Camry at 400 000 km. A midsize Ford would die at around 160 000 km (That's 100 000 miles for you foreigners ;) ).

I've been looking at other sites that offers the 2010 matchbox list, and the 2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom is not on any of them. Is this a mis hap on this list? Just curious.

The Rolls Royce Phantom license was being chased for 2010 by Matchbox, but it has not worked out, so they have moved it back until they can get a license (if they do get a license at all). In the meantime they have managed to secure a license for a Cadillac CTS Wagon instead.
