Where it all started for in house development, the original Audi R8 ( sometimes referred to as R8R, but this is a new delineation in light of the recent road car releases.)

This Minichamps replicates the 2000 Le Mans 24 hours winner. This TEAM JOEST house car was a Dallara chassie powered by the 3.6L (219 ci) V8 with twin 3596cc turbos. This was still in the petrol powered days!

Driven to the 24 hour win by Frank Biela, Tom Kristensen and Emanuele Pirro. This car, chassie #404 also ran in North America a few months after the victory, but crashed at Mosport in the ALMS event.
