Classic R/C Raceway (http://www.classicrcraceways.com/) together with XFactory (http://www.xfactoryrc.com/rc/index.php) is proud to announce 2 time WORLD CHAMPION Brian Kinwald will be attending the 1st annual Winter Classic November 7th!!!! :woohoo:

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p302/ccm399/Kinwald.jpg

We are currently working out the exact details of the appearance but the flights are booked and Brian is ready to race! More details to come in the very near future so stay tuned! Don't miss your opportunity to race with a legend!

BFast (http://www.bfastrc.com/) is also a title sponsor for the race.

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p302/ccm399/BFastLogo01.jpg

They will be handing out Gift certificates to the TQ in Stk Truck, Mod Truck, Mod Buggy, 4wd and Open CORR. They also have gift packs for the first 25 drivers to sign up for the race. I know they have a couple other surprises up their sleeves too but I am not at liberty to divulge that information just yet....

Steve is hard at work securing (and already has secured) additional sponsors for the race. Clear your calendars guys and gals this is one race you will NOT want to miss!!!!

Stay tuned!!!!

Should be a good turnout as well. Looking forward to this one. I know it's early but do you know if there will be any practicing on the new layout the week of the race or just the Friday night before?

Hmm...what tires work there?

10-21-2009, 07:34 AM
In 2 wheel we are running mostly Pink tapers, Pink BK Bars (How fitting :) ) on the rear. For the fronts it's either Pink 7202, 7206 or 7207.

Truck should be tapers or Bar Codes.

4 wheel should be similar to 2 wheel.

Hope this helps.

I talked to Steve about the fees tonight. If you pre-register, it's $30 for the first class and $15 for the second. If you pay the day of the race, it's $35 for the first and $15 for the second. And it's $10 to practice the night before either way.

Time schedule? What time do doors open? Practice? Races start? How much pit room is inside? Do we need to bring chairs? Table?
Srry for all the questions...lol.

Hi there,

There are currently 110 pit spaces indoors. You will not need tables or extension cords. I would bring a chair though as we do not currently have enough for every pit spot. I power strip might not be a bad idea but there is a 4 gang outlet every 8' or so along the pit tables.

Friday I am not sure exactly what time the doors open but I would say noon at the latest.

Saturday the doors open at 8:00 am. Racing at 1:00pm

See ya there!

Yes, there will be a stock truck class. It somehow missed the flier.

It is easy to go to a place like Steve has put together. It brings out the
best in people and the racing is a joy to watch. From the ruff-n-tumble RTR CORR to the thread the needle precision of the MOD 2wd, it's just flat out fun to see.

See everyone soon

Have you decided what hours you will be open for practice on Friday?

Have you decided what hours you will be open for practice on Friday?

I talked to Steve last night about it and the track will open at 12:00 noon for practice on Friday the 6th.

Couple updates on the November 7th race...

First just to put everyone's mind at ease Steve is adding pit tables in a couple of the other rooms in the building and the plan it to have about 130 spots for pitting. They will all be 2'x3' like a lot of other larger races so please plan accordingly. We encourage you to bring whatever supplies, parts and tires etc you want but be aware that some of your gear may need to stay in your car until you need. it. This applies mainly to the larger totes as they take up the most room.

Along those line PLEASE BRING CHAIRS. We have maybe 50 total but just to be safe please bring your own chairs. I would also pack a power strip to be safe too.

As far as times go, Friday the doors open at 12:00 Noon and the track will close at 10:00pm.

We will split up the practice into 15 mintue sessions if the need arises. I think it will so plan on 15 mintues sessions for CORR trucks and then 15 minutes sessions for the other vehicles. We will split it up further (like by class) if needed but I think this format should be OK.

Saturday the doors open at 8:00am and racing will start at 12:00 noon.

Three qualifiers and the mains will all be run on Saturday. There will be three minutes between heats so please be ready we will HAVE to keep the program moving and you guys can help us out a TON by simply being ready when you qualifier is up. You cna alos help us out by being out to marshal right after your race finishes. With the turnout we are expecting I hope we do not have to call for marshals during the day.

The practice sessions on Satruday morning will most likely have to be controlled. I'm thinking 5 minute sessions with 10-12 drivers on the track then swap out the drivers for anpother 10-12 and repeat throughout the practice sesssion. This should help make the Satuday morning practice run smoother and ensure everyone gets a shot at the track on race day!

One last thing...

Signups:

They WILL close at 11:00am! This will allow us to organize the heats as efficently as possible to help the race day run smooth! Please help us out by signing up as early as possible! For those of you coming out Friday we will have signups open that day too, hopefully that will help with the last minute signup rush.

If anyone has questions please feel free to ask!

I hope this info helps!

I can't imagine signing up the day of the race (or the practice day for the race) would be considered a pre-entry. Maybe I am mistaken though.

Is there a way I can make it easier to signup on the website? Currently you have to login to add your name. This has limitations. It relies on each person to add their name and have a website account. I could change it so anyone could add/remove anyone's name without signing in. This would provide a simple way for anyone to edit the list. Would that help? I am all about having a useful website. The only drawback to this approach is it opens the door to someone coming in and typing all kinds of garbage into the list. If anyone has any other ideas, I am open to suggestion.

As far as an official list of preentries that have registered, only Steve knows.
