I'm looking for a company that might be making a 1s voltage lipo pack that has 2 seperate cells for 1/12th onroad cars. The 2 cells have to be wired in parallel to keep it 1s voltage. Does anyone know if they are being worked on?

yes,i read somewhere on rctech

Hmmm...Interesting concept..current 7v saddle packs are 2 one cells in series? So if they were cut apart and wired in parallel would have a single cell 3.x volts and nearly double the amps...balancing?

Split a 1 cell equal wire in series get the same 1 cell back? need a balancer?

Ideas / answers?

2 cells parallel, like 2 small 2500 mah packs on each side of t-plate

if you can solder you can probably just take a pack and split it. Ex: take a 4s 2000, take the cells apart and wire it so that there are 2 cells on either side and you would have a 4000 3.x pack. i can never remember what is what with series and parallel. i think you would have to wire it parallel.

Parallel is correct. Would double the mAh and cut the voltage in half.

You would not need a balancer since it would be two cells in parallel, they cant get out of balance.

Dave, will a 1 cell lipo fit on both side of a 12th scale?

Think that is the real problem...fit the "pack" in what was designed for 4 round cells ( i.e 2 cells on a side)

Any LiPo would be a bitch to secure in that space and have enough amperage to run a race motor.

I have talked to someone that is working on a saddle pack for the 1/12th cars. He is waiting for a reply from R.O.A.R. on the specs he has submitted.
