Totally glad they don't. They did at one point have some gold cars, but those were an individual series unto themselves and might have been hard to find. Chase cars for the MB line would be the worst thing possible to happen after MB was on the brink of sinking prior to Mattel buying the line. Can't believe I just spoke the previous sentence about Mattel lol.

Didn't they make a chase with a logo on the windshield or something like that?

they did chase cars 4 years and lets hope never again!

2002 - 50th logo on vehicle
2003 - hero city logo on vehicle

Thanks guys for the info. next month at our club we are going to start displaying Matchbox on a table. Just for a few months then we will pick another diecast feature Jada, Badd ride, Hot wheels, Maisto, ect. Just something different for the members to do. Thanks Jeremy LJLRC

While there have been Matchbox chases in the past, but the current team at Matchbox which took over in 2004 have stated that they are not going to do chase vehicles like their sister brand does any more. So I doubt we will ever see any again in the basic range.

Wasn't the #76 Model A Ford a chase piece? I can't remember all the details, it has been awhile.

When M2 started, I planned on collecting them all, then they started with Chase type. Now I just buy what I like, mostly MOPARS. I buy a lot more Matchbox because I have a better chance of finding them.
