There is one of these on the block at Barrett Jackson as I type this. This was a really radical Mustang for its time and I'd love to have one in 1:64 scale. I don't suppose GL would ever consider doing this cast?

I got SO excited when I saw the title! Perhaps we can use this to point them in the right direction. 94-04 Mustangs are Terribly underrepresented in 1/64... or any diecast for that matter. What about the 00 Cobra R or the Mach 1's or the Terminators!!! Please GL! There are so many possibilities that stem from the 94-98's and the 99-04's!

Awesome car! I would love to see a 1:64-scale and a 1:18-scale too...

This baby has been made in 1:18, just not by greenlight. I too would love to see it in 1:64 scale!

I would love to see GL do this one also ! It is an amazing car, even today. I have a few fellow Mustang friends who have these and they love to race them on the road courses.

I was lucky enough to attend the Mustang's 35th Anniversary Celebration in 1999 at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in NC. Ford introduced the '00 Cobra R to the attendees and press at the show. What a sight ! After the intro, they fired it up and put it out on the track for some fast laps. I can still hear that R-model screaming around the track. I'll have to see if I can dig up some pictures from the intro. Ford has all three Cobra R's there on display .. the '93, '95 and '00. Talk about a power trio of Mustangs

Take care all and have a great weekend.

Scott

Here is our friend's '00 Cobra R at Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI ....

Cool Photos Scott! I agree, I'd like to see all of the Cobra R's in 1:64. The Mach 1 from this generation would be great too. JL did do a mustang cast from this generation, but it is a bit lacking in many ways. I still give them due credit for doing this generation of Mustang. Of course, they never did the Cobra R. It would be exciting to see what GL could do with it.

We also have a friend with one, when we were still doing car shows with our Stangs a couple of years ago, we would always park near each other. He would miss much of the show giving rides to anyone who asked after the judging. I've seen kids lined up like it was a pony ride....er...well, I guess it kinds was!

If they tooled it right, they could do the regular 03-04 Cobra as well. They are very popular among enthusiasts right now. Great bang for the buck and pretty good on the tracks.

I am with you on this one. Although I personally prefer the 94-98 style, the possibilities for models from 99-04 is crazy. They could get a lot of mileage out the base casting. 03-04 Cobra, and Mach 1, 99 Cobra, 00 Cobra R, 01 Bullitt, and the GT's...

Exactly. Just like the '70 stang, there are a lot of possibilities for this body style as well.
