It wouldn't hurt to set the Merc free and try to repair it (since you got it at a resonable price).

The chase cars are completely clear, seats and engine included.
The 2 chases were the Mercury Sun Valley and the Chevy Belair.

OK, thanks. That explains why there weren't any '54 Chebbies.

Gotta say, the '57 Ford is pretty cool, out of the bunch that is the best. The '55 Pontiac ain't too bad either.

Two stores in PA and MD have lots of the clear cars but no Mercs except the blue tinted one. There are several 54 Chevs at "Five Below" stores and they're clear except the seat inserts are gray. Any interest in these????? Dollar Tree's also have a smaller selection for only $1.00 each. Might be good for repaints??

Oh man. I left a bunch on the pegs during one of my very infrequent stops this week. Walmart or K mart but a long way from home. I will be back in that area again next week and will have another look. If the clear Merc is still there I will pick it up for you.

By the way whatever I pay plus shipping is the price.

I found a regular-looking 1953 Oldsmobile 98, from Release 2a, the one with the silver roof - but it has a clear hood. Is this normal or an error? Does anybody know for sure?

Very nice scores on these M2's.
